2 Nights at Hualien was just a stopover for me and my friend visit Taroko and Sixty Rock Mountain, so we need a place which close to the train station as much as possible. You Worth Inn is a right choice: in quiet alley, 650m from the station so in walking distance, near 7-11 and local Supermarket. The host is nice enough to arrange free noodle, unlimited instant noodle and an espresso machine (hurray!) No lift so please note down for the host if you have big luggage, my room is tiny but effecient enough and lot of sunshine in the morning (SUP Double room)
A few minutes walk from the train station so it's logistically convenient especially if you're visiting Taroko. Love the free bottled water and noodles in the common area. It was a very quiet accommodation, clean rooms, hot showers with good water pressure. Highly recommended.
Within 10 min walk from Train Station, remember to take the front entrance exit, else you will end up in the back of hualien trian station and will have to take a cab for 100NT to the B&B. Free strong wifi. great free coffee, cup noodles - none of which i tried since there was tons of food options just walking distance away at zhong shan road. 7-11, Cosmed, Watsons, the works - all within walking distance. One downside though, is that the wooden floors seems sticky and not cleaned. Oh and i reached at 830am on the first day, there was no reception so i waited for a girl to turn up at around 9am. Good to email them beforehand if you will coming in early/wee hours and would like to deposit your bag.
Aesthetically this is a great guesthouse. There is a lot of love and attention poured in to the furnishings and fittings. The mattress was perfect for me, not soft but definitely not firm. It is a 6-7 minute walk from the station. A little hard to find in the dark so I caught a taxi for (100NTD) on the first night. The Inn is located at the beginning of bustling Zhongshan Road so perfectly located. There is complimentary espresso machine, toiletries and ramen avaiable downstairs. A few things that guests may find troublesome is the lack of stairs. For me it was not a problem, as I only had a backpack but you would try and reserve a room on the 1st/2nd floors. The hosts' seem very nice but their English is extremely limited.
You Worth Inn is a lovely b&b - although actually it is not a b&b because no breakfast is offered. It is beautifully decorated and of a very high standard. The only pitty was that there was never anyone around to ask anything. We felt quite left on our own... Only once a young girl was there who didn't speak a word of English. Via google translate we asked her to order a taxi for the next morning. She seemed to understand and promised to do so and to be there to see us off - but both unfortunately never happened,so we had to find a taxi ourselves with all our luggage and almost missed the train. Not so nice...
