My hubby and I had booked their VIP room on the 8th floor and were checked in after their check in timing at 3pm. The hotel provided coupons for breakfast as well as their afternoon tea. The room was amazingly big and clean, having a nice and large bathroom with a food showering area and a very big onsen tub. Their onsen water had sulphur in it which made the onsen experience very nice as well. The beds were soft and clean with a good array of switches to control the lightings in the room. There was no view however as the windows opened to their roof area and we could see the opposite hotel rooms. However, overall it was a very nice room. Their only flaw in my opinion was the food. Their afternoon tea was quite abysmal with very little selection of unappetizing cakes or bread which were not refilled promptly even though the high tea lasted from 2-9pm. They had one waffle making machine which you can use to make your own waffles but many people were waiting to use it. Their ice cream wasn't all that nice either. If you need to have more coffee powder in the machine you need to ask the service staff, who was more focused on clearing the table than topping up food. In the morning, their breakfast selection consisted of toast, congee and some toppings for the congee and that was about it. We skipped it entirely. If you want an awesome room, they have it! If you are looking at the food, it would be better to eat from one of the stores outside. They have a 7-11, Macdonald a and KFC right outside the hotel!

This hotel looks so dark and sleezy, like those love motel people rent by the hour. The window looks out to an old moldy building. The tub is dirty looking so we only soaked our feet in hot spring. The towels look questionable so we only used it to sit around the tub. Bypass this resort and find some place better.

Happened to pass by the hotel and saw the advertisement for personal hot spring. Best choice ever! NTD1060/SGD48 for 2 hours for a room with en-suite hot spring, bed for rest and free afternoon tea buffet. Definitely a recommended restful break especially if you are a solo traveller looking for privacy.

I booked my family's stay in this hotel early on, but they mixed up the room type. Instead of a 3- or 4-people room, we got only a 2-people room. They didn't really have a room for 3 people, they will just add a bed. When we saw the 2-people room, let's just say I was really disappointed. Brief points: 1. Room was small and not like the pictures 2. Paint peeling 3. Hot spring tub has mildew 4. No real floor space for the extra bed 5. Vents were not clean (for the sulfur water) 6. In the middle of the room ceiling was a large vent that we thought was the light. Suffice it to say, whatever it is, it wasn't a pretty sight. 7. Decors are in poor taste. We had this one rectangle table that had fake, gold-painted drawers. 8. The ref looked old and unclean. Didn't even try to open it. 9. The mini bar area had some compartments that opened to an empty useless space, as if the boards were placed just to hide those ugly panels. 10. Electrical cords were jumbled up and exposed. So, then, we come to the good parts. We decided to change rooms. The difference? Only NT 1800 for a 4-person bed. The good news was this time, the rooms are cleaner, more spacious and well-lighted. The bathroom was also cleaner. It looked liked what I expected at the beginning. More pluses: 1. Tea time from 2pm - 10 pm 2. Free buffet breakfast 3. Very near the MRT (Xinbeitou station, 10 minute walk) 4. Decent room prices 5. Good view of the park and library I recommend this for families but not for couples. There were many young people staying here. Mainly because it is affordable. Desk clerks don't speak much English and they apparently misunderstand things even in Chinese. They are also a little huffy at times. Maybe it's the peak season? Not sure. The housekeepers are nice though. Sweet old ladies.
