At Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali, guests are regularly charmed by the peaceful and scenic atmosphere, as well as the hotel's immaculate condition and its serene cliff-top villas. The staff's dedication to providing friendly and attentive service garners commendation, although some guests have encountered lapses. While the spacious and tastefully designed rooms are well-received, there are mixed feelings regarding their upkeep. Despite the wide range of praised amenities, including stunning pools and diverse dining options, some travelers question the value, pointing out the high costs relative to the provided services.

Wow. Six Senses. What can I say?! From the moment we checked in with a warm greeting and refreshing drink to when we left, we were in heaven!!! The hotel is absolutely beautiful. We had a room with a private pool and the hotel had left fruit and sweet treats on our bed with a note to congratulate us on getting married (we were on our honeymoon). The hotel rooms are beautifully decorated and very spacious. The toiletries in the bathroom are lovely that I didn't even bother using my own (I am extremely picky about the products I use on my body!) Their exfoliating soap in the bath is amazing, it's a shame you can't buy it from the shop. The aloe vera gel also amazing and worked perfectly on my husbands sensitive skin. Anyway enough about the products. Highlights for us: breakfast was a treat- so much to select from and great coffees and never felt busy, cocktails by the outdoor cinema amazing chef that cooked for us by our private pool is a must if you stay here, the infinity pool was always quiet, ice cream hour where you can treat yourself to a complimentary ice cream (or two!), massages at the spa, yoga lessons also great. Service is top notch here and everyone is always willing to go out of their way to help you. I am a massive hotel snob but this did not fall short of expectations and I'd definitely stay at another six senses again!

My wife and I ended a 3 week trip to Bali & Lombok with 3 nights in Six Senses Uluwatu. It was the perfect end to an amazing trip. I’ve never stayed anywhere more luxurious and high tech - but what really made it special was the how friendly, attentive & eager to help the staff were. In particular Sugi & Seva who were our dedicated guest experience makers. On our first night we stayed in a Sky Suite which was lovely & had great views. Unfortunately, there was a lot of noise from the penthouse above us in the night. Sugi went out of his way to ensure it didn’t ruin our honeymoon so arranged for us to be moved into a private villa with a pool. The resort itself is a bit isolated in its location, but Sugi also arranged a car to take us to a seafood restaurant on a nearby beach. This was very much a once in a lifetime holiday for us because we probably won’t be able to afford the Six Senses again, but it was an incredible experience my wife & I will never forget.

We Love this hotel and now we know why its called Six Senses, because the hospitality is so good, its almost like they have a our 'sixth sense'. My daughter had her birthday is Six Senses, and they gave her a birthday cake, without us asking them to give us one for her. Six Senses also have a really quick response when we want something, or if there is a problem. The dog treats are really cute, my dog loves them and the room and places in Six Senses are huge enough for her to exercise and play around, it made her have a pleasant stay in Six Senses. The hotel also prepared utilities that are good for the earth and doesn't support global warming, like for example, their toothbrushes and razors are made out of wood and metal. They also have a garden that helps us to learn about plants. Six Senses doesn't give pesticides or any factory-made fertilizers, they use organic fertilizers that are healthy for eating. They also give us free yoga classes that are beneficial for our bodies and our face. We love the free unlimited ice cream thay serve us every 12-4 p.m. and they have various flavours that are super yummy. Thank you too, Ode, Desi, Indah, Cahyadi, and specially Joel for the service you gave us, it means a lot to us, and it made us have a very pleasant stay in Six Senses.

Booked 1 BR Cliff Villa Pool during Christmas 2020. AC phone and toilet bidet spray were not working properly, so during the pandemic where I am extremely cautious about letting strangers in the room, i had to endure several technicians coming in and out of my villa throughout the day up till 11 PM at night. Buggy services were extremely slow most of the time. I told guest service that i did not want housekeeping due to pandemic, yet housekeeping still went inside my villa when i was out. Hotel staffs were friendly, however their safety and health protocols could be improved (i expected top notch standard from such a luxurious hotel). I saw bartender staffs touching their masks and pulling down their masks while fixing drinks for guests. Room finishing needs to maintenance, yellow marks on shower walls, the sofa by the room's pool could also be replaced or cleaned properly.

Dear Ceciliaj772, Warmest greetings from Six Senses Uluwatu. Thank you so much for feedback from your stay and Sorry to hear that your stay experience with us was not up to your satisfaction. Regarding the safety and health protocols please to informed you that we have been certified both from Bali province "New Norm Protocols Audit" and "Cleanliness Health Safety Environment from Ministry of Tourism". From the minute we arrived at Six Senses Uluwatu, we knew it was a special place. My husband and I cannot express our gratitude to the whole team at Six Senses for making our dream honeymoon a reality. Each staff member we met, from Gino in reception, to the talented massage therapists- genuinely cared for the guests and worked hard to make a personalised, luxury experience. We wish we could list every staff member, but just to name a few, thank you to Adi, Putra, Cinta, Agung, the incredible spa staff, the yoga instructors who provided free yoga two mornings a week, the bistro staff and of course the fantastic house keeping team who surprised us with ‘Happy Honeymoon’ written on our bed with carefully cut fresh leaves and frangipanis. The talented chefs use locally grown produce to provide impeccable food with complimentary fresh fruit platters each morning. We were delighted to discover there is even a six senses farm with fresh eggs, fruits and even a hut with oyster mushrooms! Oh, and did I mention they have free freshly made gelato each afternoon and the most delicious home made granola bars and turmeric drink!

The hotel is spacious and clean, cleverly designed to complement the cliff top location overlooking the ocean, the backdrop of natural wonder is breathtaking, with many instagramable moments! We stayed in the spectacular Sky Pool suite, the plunge pool was essential in the tropical humidity and the photos on the website do not do it justice! The main infinity pool overlooking the ocean will transport you to another world. Six Senses oozes decadence, relaxation and health- just immersing yourself in the experience will leave you feeling rejuvenated. My husband and I cannot recommend Six Senses highly enough and we cannot wait to go back!

A great stay at six senses uluwatu. First time experiencing six senses property and amazed at the space the provided for the two bedroom villa. Cleanliness is great, the living room is spacious, the bathroom contain outdoor and an indoor shower. The master bedroom is beautiful. The breakfast need more variety but they are generally taste okay. Tried the dinner at the restaurant and they are decent. The outdoor cinema is great! They children love it. Before dark, you can take a peek from above to below to see sea turtles from up there. It is nice to see a glimpse of the sea from a cliff hotel. The service is okay.
The only improvement they need is to clean the private pool more often and turn on the jacuzzi during the guests’ stay.

I visited this place on December 2020 just nearing the ease of pandemic year. Checkin in is pretty gruesome experience. Somehow they perhaps did not expect a rise in hotel guests nearing the year end? Travelling around the property (in the beginning), we tried to rely on the buggies. Sadly, only less than 10 buggies that were able to operate and the rest are out of service, putting pressure to the hotel staff and waiting guests grumpy. For people staying in this kind of resort in Uluwatu, food is supposed to be great as we are supposed to stay in and enjoy hotel facility and in addition, hotel also don't allow guest to order from outside. However, breakfast itself is so bad that: standard choice is just: bread basket (good croissant though, that's my only compliment), egg any style and BEEF bacon. Only. Served individually and you can't add anymore, or that will be subject to pay. All other type of breakfast, depend on your room type, or again, subject to additional cost. (Gosh how I wish I am back to St Regis or W hotel). Dinner - fancy food, but so-so taste and of course, premium pay, to compensate for the incredible property view. The best thing of the property: extraordinary property, carefully designed rooms (and superb finishing) - ecological flow. I hope after IHG takes over the management, this facility can live up the standards.

Not the right value for money !

Being luxury as commitment when you start your business again on this pandemic you should only sell the room which is ready and take number of guest you can afford to look after.

Went to the hotel this afternoon to check in my sister honeymoon and site inspection for our parent 50 anniversary next month.

Book sky pool suite on website had great view and review, when check in room was out of expectation very disappointed view, smelly, dusty.
Ask for the other room, none of room in this category is ready even with less than 40% occupancy the hotel not able to find replacement.

We inspect others room, they show us two bed room suite which is ready but they don't try to accommodate your un happy guest.

When the dark come, pool light was not working waited engineering so long after the come and fix the light, they left and in 5 minutes again some one knock the door the engineering left his phone in the pool.
20 minutes later electricity black out during our dinner, call reception again take so long ...

Many mosquito in the room, my sister forgot her spray, as she got allergic with mosquito bite ask for mosquito lotion the manager said the not provide this being sustainable hotel we end going out and buy one ... no assistance all.

Try to take a rest after all happening again some one knock the door, manager come just to apologize but nothing they can do ...

I've been to Soneva and Six senses before and booked a week at Six Senses Uluwatu, last summer before realizing Six Senses was sold to a company with a different vision for the brand. As a guest who loves boutique hotels and small properties, this felt too big for me and I didn't get a real Balinese feel there at all. The good stuff first: The pool is amazing, the layout around the pool was very nice and you can just stay there all day watching the sky and the sea with the infinity pool in front of both. Pool boys were attentive and friendly. I loved their movie nights and generally liked the restaurants/food.
Roomwise the villa was okay, new, nice decor, nice pool (a bit cold,) but it felt like a part of an apartment complex rather than a nice villa. The view wasn't very good and it was fairly noisy despite not running at high capacity. Throughout there was construction noise and there were big issues with the spa and construction noise (not a good mix,) so I complained about that but didn't feel they took it very seriously. The resort layout was not smart, relying on golf carts or walking a lot to get to your villa. My butler was extremely intrusive and kept repeating questions even when it was pretty clear that I was not interested in chatting much. She kept interrupting and asking intrusive questions. (Why I didn't have children etc.etc.) I was dealing with a very sick family member during my stay and felt a bit invaded by the 'butler' who kept showing up, calling, asking etc.etc. Breakfast was in a lovely space but the food wasn't great. I'd be happier if the price was around half of what I paid, so they are commanding a serious price tag but fail to deliver on standard and service at this level. All in all I felt the Six senses were a far cry from what I expected and love the brand for and sadly, I won't be back despite loving Uluwatu.

My husband and I stayed here for four nights recently and felt slightly disappointed. We had just arrived in Bali and once you enter the property and take the long drive (through security) to the hotel reception we started to feel as though we were leaving the real Bali behind. In fact when in the hotel you could be in Thailand or any other tropical county as this is the problem with these ‘brand’ hotel chains, they all feel the same. Our room was comfortable with sea views (the hotel is on a cliff so you are looking out across the ocean rather than at rolling waves) and the spa was very good. The staff were so eager to please that ag every meal we were constantly asked if we were enjoying the food/drink/view etc etc. Which sadly became a bit tiring though I’m sure they meant well.

However we provide a free shuttle to Sunday's Beach club on daily base. Bali has so many different experiences like Ubud in the heart of Bali with jungle and monkeys - Seminyak what is on the beach and the south of Bali where we are located. We are very sorry to hear you have expected some different kind of Bali experiences. We are delight you enjoy our service in the different outlets. Best regards Michael B. Gaehler General Manager

We hired scooters for $10 per person per day and went by ourselves - best decision ever! Alternatively you can use Bluebird taxi's which are also cost effective.
