The most wonderful hotel we have ever stayed in. Flawless service and facilities. Great food - we only ate at the Indonesian restaurant. My wife has many food allergies and the chefs worked with us every time we sat down on the menus. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

Hotel's Favorite
First and foremost what makes this luxury Resort 5 stars is the staff. Hemal who is the General Manager has an amazing team that go above and beyond to make your visit like a dream come true. I would like to mention some names in no particular order. Hemal - GM, it was an absolute pleasure to meet you, lovely conversations, thank you for everything! Front of House Maya Sebastian Nova Rai anything that we needed was handled beautifully Sous Chef Sheandy well what can we say, you and chef have serious skills in the kitchen. The food was a highlight at each meal. And thank you for making slight adjustments when needed. Each day making sure you stopped by to say hi and ask us if we needed anything special for any of our meals. Waiters Mai Lestari Rudy Win Made' Andika Agung We loved getting to know each one of you, thank you for your 5 star service. Mixologist Putu Uri Your creations were not only delicious but a work of art.... I'd give anything to have a Her Ning or White Noise on the sunset deck right now! Buggy driver Dodi Although we chose to walk all the way up to our villa the whole time, we loved the conversations with you. Silvina - Head of sustainability We did a walking tour of the resort and we learned so much about reduce, reuse, recycle with everything. big or small, every detail that makes this resort what it is there is a reason for even the smallest of details. Each one of you were always happy to provide us with anything we needed, your level of service was perfection. It was so nice talking with each and every one of you. we miss all of you so very much. This stay was for our 20th wedding anniversary and the first half was in the Maldives and then the Alila. We chose this resort because my husband is Globalist with the Hyatt brand. The resort is picture perfect, our villa was huge and spotless. Yes the pool at our villa was chilly, but after walking up all the stairs the pool felt fantastic. The gym has everything that you would need in order to get a great workout in which we did daily. We also chose to do the bike tour with Made' (his nickname). It was hot and fun and the resort provides you with a basket lunch when you arrive to Padang padang beach but since it only took us 1.5 hours to arrive (normally its a 3 hour bike ride) we chose to have the picnic lunch on our patio at our villa. Greg enjoyed the free yoga each morning as well. we each had a couple spa services which were delightful. You never see your food or beverage bills. Its given to you at the end of your stay and everything was in order. Normally we tip as we go (which we did with our room attendants, spa ladies and Made' our bike tour guide) but gave the front desk our final tip to pass out to all the above staff. The only flaw, was not staying longer. We had to get home to celebrate our youngest son's 13th birthday. However we will be back and maybe even with our 3 boys. Thank you for everything.... we can't wait to come "back home"!! Sincerely, Ibu Paula and Bapak Greg

We've been meaning to stay here for the longest time. Glad to be able to do it this year. The staff couldn't be more welcoming. The property was very well kept and gorgeous. The villa especially is very well designed, it made us want to lounge around in the villa all day. Food is excellent (we dined in the restaurant once and had in-room dining once). The turn down service is also great. All-in-all it was a very memorable stay.

My husband and I booked a six night stay at Alila Uluwatu and honestly, the promotional photos do not do this place justice! It is absolutely stunning - from the lobby with reflection ponds at every corner, to the breathtaking infinity pool that overlooks the ocean on the cliff’s edge. The service here is top notch, with everyone so happy to chat/learn our names and proud of their beautiful hotel. Today we had the most amazing cooking class with Chef Sheandy Satria and Chef Harley. This was no ordinary class, as it was a comprehensive half day event that began at 7:30AM - Chef Sheandy Satria brought us to the town’s traditional food and fish market, we walked along the beach admiring the fishing boats, enjoyed the snacks/breakfast boxes/moist towels/filtered water readily available in the van, asked any and every question we could think of pertaining to Balinese life, stopped by Chef’s favorite coffee shop for a delicious cup of coffee (and taro latte) which he treated us to, then got our hands dirty learning how to make three fish dishes featuring the most delicious traditional seafood spice paste and pumpkin dessert. We cannot recommend our chefs enough!! They were personable, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a blast. The class culminated in eating our creations (plus a bonus prawn soup, 12 variety tasting tray of sambals/chips, scoop of coconut sorbet, and homemade digestive drink) by the hotel’s insane scenic overlook! Our hotel room feels so luxurious and the natural light flooding in from all angles is so special. Nature is all around and present - we watched National Geographic-level monkey activity in our private backyard and saw a slithering snake another morning. The monkeys are not as friendly as in Ubud, so I suggest bringing a walking stick with you if you trek down the 600 steps to the beach. The pools are sooo refreshing and the main one by the lobby/restaurants is so long it feels like you could swim forever. This is the nicest place we’ve ever stayed, but at the same time it doesn’t feel pretentious or snooty. It’s just the perfect balance of being upscale, raw, and natural. The staff is so sweet, letting us eat in pool cabanas and making smoothies any time of day. Our favorite meal is breakfast - the rotating menus make it a surprise each morning as to what’s on the list, and the pancakes and traditional options are not to be missed! Honestly, wish we never have to leave!! This is a dream. Highly recommend starting your trip to Bali in Ubud to do excursions and visit woodcarvers/artists/Monkey Forest/Purification Ceremony/Temples and then finishing your trip by relaxing here. It was the perfect choice for our honeymoon with an indoor shower, outdoor shower, large bathtub, king size bed, many lounging areas, and room service.

Exceptional hotel to relax with family in beautiful surroundings with exceptional service. The three bedroom villa was fantastic with everything you could possibly need and Adi the butler was amazing. He was a wonderful guide taking us to the Temple, Parasailing and Diving. The beach was also amazing (we were the only people there when we hiked down) but you can only go during low tide (there is no beach at high time) and 600 steps is a LOT....

Exquisite cliffside property; truly top tier rooms, grounds, food, and service. Each day had pleasant surprises in store during our stay, and the entire wall of the room can be opened to directly access the in-villa pool and cabana. Breakfast was definitely a highlight as was sunset from the larger pool area. In our humble opinion, Alila is a relaxing oasis and the best property in Bali.

We had our 41st wedding anniversary celebration stay at this amazing resort in beautiful ocean view villa suite with private pool & cabana in August 2022. The property is on spectacular cliff top edge overlooking the Pacific Ocean. I enjoyed the 600-700 steps down the cliff steep walking track to the resort private beach and lucky to walk on the sand at low tide one afternoon. Each and every staff in the team from front office, restaurant, gardener/ground maintenance all the way up to GM Hemal Jain is courteous and helpfully serving guests over & beyond expectations. CIRE restaurant under Belgian head chef Adrian serves delicious mediterranean flavour foods and he is very kind in especially providing us with healthy options. Nova the front officer manager is always ready to help ensure guests have enjoyable and wonderful stay. She and Hemal delighted us with seating at ocean view private cabana for sunset anniversary dinner with signature bottle of Alila Cava and special dessert treat in the room. Thank you so much to everyone for helping making our anniversary stay such memorable experience. Best, Tom & Wati

The property is beautiful and the Villas are large with a very nice pool which is to be expected at this price point which puts the property on the same cost level as the Aman or Viceroy but the hotels focus is not on guests staying but on hosting weddings. Upon checking in we were informed that we must be off the property by noon on check out day. They wouldn't hold our bags after leaving the room and let us have lunch or use the spa even if we had vacated the room, we must be off property so the Bridezilla coming did not have to see our unworthy faces. If the property would have informed us of this beforehand we would have gladly stayed somewhere else as I have little interest in paying this much to be treated as a second class guest. This is at a property charging extremely expensive rates especially for Bali. After complaining to Hyatt corporate suitable compensation was offered but not proactively. On the day before the wedding the construction of the wedding venue was obnoxiously loud and could even be heard inside our 4th floor villa with all doors and windows closed. It sounded like we were in the middle of a construction site in New York and not at a cliffside resort in Bali. We did the Journey to the Southern Beaches excursion which was wonderful and our guides Kedek and Kedek did much to make up for what was otherwise a subpar stay considering the price point.

Had a 4 nights stay here a week ago and it was amazing! The hotel was very luxurious & gives a peaceful & relaxing atmosphere. The room-villa style-was roomy and for 3 of us nicely. The pool right outside your own room was just dreamy! Food was very nice at both restaurants. Breakfasts were amazing! Staff was spectacular—very friendly, always carried a smile (even through the mask), and willing to offer their help!

Our stay at the Alila Uluwatu was fabulous! It was the first stop on our honeymoon and they made it extra special. It’s out of the way of town but it’s truly beautiful. Food is pricey. Loved our stay!
