We did not expect such a beautiful hotel in Huacalera. We were greeted in a very welcoming matter and immediately got a room upgrade. The room had a fun decor, we felt very much at home. We ate at the restaurant and they even served us lunch passed their kitchen time, which we appreciated very much. The reception and lunche/bar...

I had to review the photos to make sure we stayed at the same hotel as some reviewers. The hotel is looking nice on the outside and the views towards the mountains are breathtaking. But that's pretty much it. Inside it is a tired place. We stayed on the second floor - the rooms were tiny. The bathrooms were pretty...

Beautiful location, very nice room, quirky hotel, stairs difficult to manage as no hand rail. Poor service especially in the restaurant even though we had booked a meal in advance. We had to wait for service, then half an hour passed before we were told that my order wasn't available. Also, the food was not good. Breakfast mediocre. No English...

Hotel Huacalero is located in a unique setting - amidst picturesque scenery (almost) on the Tropic of Capricorn. My family (2 teenage boys and my father in law) spent 4 nights at the hotel, using it as our base to explore the region. The service was attentive and professional, easily resolving any issue we encountered. The staff - all young...

In 1949 a Spaniard with respiratory problems had a manor on this site, which he turned into a hotel as friends and guests started visiting him because the place had extremely clean air. Now there is a luxurious building in its place on the Tropic of Capricorn that you would not imagine to find in these surroundings. Not everything might...

Very good base on the road to Jujuy: not too far from Salta or from northern canyon. The hotel facade looks like an American motel but the similarity stops there. The interior is colorful and friendly. The rooms are large and comfortable. This is not the last 5 stars around but nothing is missing. The cocktails are delicious, good food...

Nice hotel with comfortable rooms, in a stylish way. In this hotel conceptual arts in the styling and decoration together with the kind staff make the atmosphere friendly and enjoyable. The bigger rooms have just that bit more value for money that's worth it (we had both). Just to know that there is a road at a 60 meters from...

I was there, actually a while ago already and always wanted to write a review, the hotel was amazing, huge rooms, brilliantly comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms with awesome showers, the interior deco is surprising having in consideration you are away from any major city, in the middle of the Quebrada and would not expect any of this fantastic deco, colourful,...

Impressively restored four years ago after standing empty for 16 years, Hotel Huacalera brilliantly combines attractive local decoration and design with international standards of accommodation, service and cleanliness - for many years hard to find in this region. The rooms are large and tastefully decorated, with cactus wood widely in evidence in the ceilings. The beds are comfortable and all...
