Keemala harnesses the history of fictitious ancient Phuket settlers and incorporates the story of four different clans within the resort. Keemala’s style blends the indigenous stories of the clans with the decadence of an upscale resort. The architecture is a stark contrast to most hotel accommodation. Keemala’s fantastic cottages, tree houses and pool villas are designed around the unique topographical conditions. Set into the hillside and making use of slopes offering sea views, streams, waterfalls and indigenous trees.

A significant part of the Keemala ethos is to celebrate and cultivate Thai culture. This is strongly perceived in the spa. Treatments and wellness programs are being meticulously designed to utilize bygone techniques, natural herbs used as medicinal remedies in conjunction with old-fashioned pampering. The eight treatment rooms will offer a haven of renewal and the spa will also offer a Thai massage pavilion, steam and sauna rooms along with a fitness room with views of the sea and lush topography, yoga and meditation spaces making Keemala an ideal destination for retreats.

As an extension of the wholesome spirit of Keemala, cuisine offered will also be organic and locally sourced and grown where possible. The menus will incorporate healthy, nutritious and above all delicious meals. Keemala will offer three outlets for dining, the main restaurant, a pool bar, a smaller wine cellar ideal for small parties and meetings and destination dining will be offered to those guests who would like to enjoy the ambience of somewhere distinct, perhaps beside the waterfall, in a separate sala in the grounds or in the comfort of the villa or cottage.

I had an amazing stay in Thailand’s most famous treetop resort. Staying in a treehouse is a truly unique experience and I totally fell in love with mine. I spent plenty of time relaxing on the balcony, which boasted a private infinity pool and lounge area. The forest and views were also stunning - it was like something out of a dream. I also indulged in a rose petal bubble bath in my room as I enjoyed the ocean views. What was really cool about Keemala was that there were so many cultural activities on offer. Of course, you can go and just relax for the entire time, or you could stay really busy with activities. I tried to get a healthy mix in! I loved the food at Keemala and had a particularly amazing marble wagyu steak. It was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection, with a wonderful fresh side salad to complement it. Of course, I have to mention the spa where I had an amazing massage. There are plenty of slimming and healing treatments on offer to help you get over the bloat and discomfort that jet lag can so often cause. There were also lots of fitness classes available that allowed guests to enjoy the beauty of the natural surroundings whilst staying in shape, including nature trails, outdoor TRX and aqua fitness. Overall, a stay at Keemala is a simply surreal experience that proves that there’s a lot more to Phuket than its infamous party scene.

The Keemala is not your average Phuket beach resort. For one it is not at a beach, but nestled into the forests and hills of the hinterland. The exceptional architecture, with rooms looking like tree houses or bird nests, give the place an element of fantasy. I was actually a bit on the fence when we booked the place because i got a theme park feel from it all, but I must say we really enjoyed our stay in the bird nest villa. While the room is a bit dark, the view and the private pool are spectacular. The bed is super comfortable as well. Together with the sounds of the virtual fireplace it made for an incredible good nights rest. We also loved the great Indian cuisine on offer at the restaurant. Good Indian food is not that easy to find, but the cook, who worked at Rang Mahal at the Rembrandt in Bangkok before, served up some delicious curries, etc. Overall I liked the Keemala much more then I would have thought and we will go there again - mainly to eat Chicken Korma and sleep in that incredible bed.

We stayed Bird nest villa. Love design of the room. Room is big and well decorated. Staff has service minded. When we arrived with the early flight, the room was not ready yet. The staff offer to open one of their room for us to relax. Only one disadvantage is the resort location is not closed to the beach

We had a treehouse hut with a private pool and it was so luxurious! The bathtub is to die for! A very expensive splurge, but so worth it. The people and service were amazing. The restaurant is 5 stars as well!

Before arriving at Keemala I have seen pictures and how beautiful the place looked but the hospitality there made my stay even more special. I was travelling alone and first vacation since COVID. It was just simply magical. Every detail was thought out and the hotel made sure I was well taken care of in every single step. Biggest compliment to Khun Golf Pattana he went extra mile to make sure just 2 day stay was unforgettable. Thank you so much for wonderful time. I will be sure to visit again.
