The Palms Resort is a solid choice for families who wish to stay in the Kamala Beach area, a quieter, more family-friendly alternative to Patong Beach. The resort is quiet, clean, reasonably priced, with spacious rooms. It is also ideally located, mere steps from restaurants, shopping, and spas and only a 2-3 minute walk to the beach. We stayed in... More

My husband and I stayed in a resort nearby to Kamala Beach and ended up becoming regulars to the Al Fresco restaurant adjoining the Palms Resort. With 99 Baht cocktails on offer, they quite literally had the cheapest cocktail prices around the whole area - it's a small strip of restaurants and we checked the prices everywhere before we ate.... Fantastic food, service and best cocktail prices on Kalama strip. Palm the restaurant manager delivered amazing service and made some of the best cocktails including custom espresso martini. Daily cocktail price of 99 baht wont be beaten, very happy to provide doubles and unlike other places, cocktails were full strength. Food delicious and very fresh produce, offering traditional thai and... More

We went here as a family of three (including our infant) to vacation with my parents. Pros: -So many restaurants and shops were in walking distance. Didn't have plan, just walked and found what we liked (Except for The Greek Tavern - we looked that up and had to take a longer walk to find it - high recommendations for... More

Stayed 6 nights in one of the penthouses with a rooftop terrace and perfect view of the sea. Enjoyed our stay and the service provided by the staff. Close to the beach and the main street of Kamala with good food everywhere with fresh fish every day. Visited Patong once and glad we did not choose to stay there (very... More

You can't beat the location of the resort. In the middle of Kamala Beach 2 min walk to the beach and close to restaurants, supermarkets and other service providing shops. In addition the ground floor apartments have direct pool access which is ideal for kids. We stayed in the same resort 4 years and we can see a decline in... More

So sorry about the loss of the internet/wi-fi service during late December. Our service provider (TOT) had a major problem, which resulted in us having no internet from just before Christmas until the 5th January. Thank you for your comments about Breakfast and Cleaning we will check to see what has been changed in these areas. More

Negatives: $260/night for shabby 3 bedroom villa. WiFi was ALWAYS down. Literally was never working. Asked staff for there response and I was given a rude 'changing IP address' ?? Was shocked at there response to the situation. For what we paid we expected quality services for WiFi however, we were delivered less than average. Air conditioning in the room... More

I am very sorry that you did not have a satisfactory stay with us recently, which is certainly not the "norm" if you look through the comments made previously on TripAdvisor. I also assume that you meant that you stayed in a Penthouse, as we have no Villas here. Staff trying to get into a Penthouse, with three large bedrooms,... More

This is a 3 star apartment style hotel. This is not a resort. Apartment is well equipped with fridge toaster, washing machine, stove, oven, pots, pans and crockery. we had 2nd floor apartment, nice balcony. 1st floor (ground) level has swim up terrace but absolutely no privacy - look straight into bedrooms. Did not eat at the restaurant as it... More

The week before Christmas really is "the quiet before the storm"! Only one week later and everywhere is packed full, and nowhere near as nice. So you certainly came here at the right time. You mentioned the ground floor apartments, well strangely enough they are our most popular units. I think because to step straight off the balcony into a... More

Ok, I'm going out on a limb here...The Palms Resort was the best family accommodation we've had in all our Asian holidays. We had a 2 bedroom apartment that was spacious & quiet- something we needed after living in each others pockets for the previous 4 weeks. The staff are wonderfully friendly and helped us out when Etihad let us... More

Came we 3 guys, saw the advertise breakfast 250baht. Call 2 sets of American and 1 Asian breakfast. Taste of food and service above average. Went to view resort not bad environment with nice Long pool for lap swim. Quite a handful of guest staying while we are having breakfast. Likely a nice place to stay.

Hi there, sounds like you three guys had a good time in Phuket. At least when you have a buffet breakfast, you can go and help yourselves to what you like, so a wise choice. The Palms is also a good place to stay, although near to Patong, for night visits, it is still far enough away to relax during... More
