This was my first trip to the Island and was presently surprised that there were places to visit & lots of fresh produce to purchase. We chose this B&B because it looked the nicest & was available on short notice. As mentioned the gourmet breakfast was impressive & the hosts Marc & Louise are very gracious in their presentation and honestly try to make your stay enjoyable. The grounds are inviting to walk around & the view was a beautiful Now I will say the only negative which truly surprised me is that even though they take your credit card info for reservation , when it comes time to pay , they ONLY take CASH. Apparently this was mentioned to my wife when setting up the reservation on the phone , & she forgot to tell me until checkout day , but this is the first time I have experienced this. A inconvenience hunting around for a ATM on the island there are only 2 &the first was out of cash. I think if this is the policy then it should be stated very clearly on the website. NOTE just a tip the bridge over to the Island gets backed up quite frequently on the wknd during the day.

We had a wonderful time at this gem of a B&B. We visited at the beginning of October and had a great fall time experience. The island was beautiful in full fall foliage and the agritourism was great as there is a lot of fresh produce and wine production. However the best meals we had by far were homemade at the B&B. Louise and Marc were fantastic hosts and Marc was a phenomenal chef who took great pride in farm to table cooking. We also had a great time each morning over breakfast meeting the other travelers and learning more about the island. The accommodations were great, comfortable, and very quiet. All in all it was a wonderful experience that we cannot recommend highly enough.

Louise and Marc are your hosts at this beautiful, spacious bed and breakfast located across the river from Quebec City. We spent four relaxing nights here and enjoyed comfortable accommodations, restful nights, and five star breakfasts each and every morning. The breakfasts were the most memorable of any we've had throughout our travels. Morning fine dining included starters, a starter, a main and a dessert. Everything was exquisitely prepared and presented - morning works of art. Treat yourself to this lovely getaway. You will not regret it.

Just returned from a 2 nights stay at this fabulous B&B. Only 2 words to our host Louise & Marc, thank you for your hospitality and your great breakfast. This is one of the best Breakfast we have had, Mark the chef is awesome, from home made maple sirop to his own honey and all the other great stuff. The house and the ground’s are just wonderful. But just for your information, you don’t come here with partying in mind after 8pm no more noise and 2 couples talking in the great living room is considered a party loll. So everyone retreat to their room, and don’t forget theirs NO tv nowhere in the house so load up the tables and retreat in your room. But honestly the wake up in the morning with the great smell and the great breakfast is worth it all. Thank you again Louise and Mark we are certain to be back in the future.

Normally I do not do repeat reviews, but it has been three years since we stayed at Dans les bras de Morphee due to COVID restrictions. We have sorely missed this place. Now that the border between the US and Canada is easier to cross we decided to return. Marc and Louise are most gracious hosts. They are a fantastic resource for places to eat and things to do on and off the island. They are also continually improving the property. Since our last visit they have added a building near the river. It is a comfortable place to relax and enjoy the scenic area. Marc prepares the most wonderful three course breakfasts using ingredients from his garden and the local area. The meals are presented with style. Breakfast is a delight. The rooms are well appointed. It is a quiet relaxing place to be with someone you love. It was nice to see they have not missed a step in spite of challenges of COVID. We are happy to resume our annual visits.

We’d highly recommend this beautiful auberge. It is set in beautiful gardens that the owners take great care over. Marc and Louise are wonderful hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. They also took exceptional care over Covid precautions. The breakfasts are so delicious. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Right before we left for a trip to Quebec, where we were planning to stay a few nights in Quebec City, a friend told us about Ile d'Orleans. I found this inn by googling, and I was very pleased with it. Louise is a gracious host who made us very comfortable. The breakfasts were amazing. It really was like staying in someone's lovely home.

We had a wonderful stay. Marc and Louise were terrific hosts. Their home is beautifully built and furnished and the gardens were full of lovely flowers. The breakfasts were varied and delicious. One of our most favourite B&Bs ever.

My wife and I booked for 4 days early September 2015 before labor day and we were told in advance by the owner that they wanted to be paid in cash which I found strange especially coming from Vancouver, BC Canada. We had want the owner said was their best room but it turned out that there was a couple above us and it so happens that the wood floors were cracking. Not so great when you are trying to sleep. The breakfast for our taste were too sweet and rather skimpy with small portions. We had to ask for bread, toast, coffee or milk and felt like we were being rationed. Access to the B&B by car is problematic during the day because of an antiquated house numbering system, at night it is simply dangerous and the dirt road leading to the B&B is steep and poorly maintained. I simply would not return

My girlfriend and I needed some time off, just to forget about all the routine bustler... we drove 3 hours from Montréal to the island and spent a night there; we took the option Marc offered with his 5 services diner. Take it, it is worth it! Really a great and quiet place where you can relax and take it easy. They recommanded another place for snowshoeing on the island and it was grat... they recommand a spa resort and it was great. I stop here because I feel like repeating the same story all voer again... really a great place (did i talk about the fireplace... it's great!)!

They are not often open in the rude Canadian Winter. Leave them a message on their website and call again later. It is worth the work you will be doing. I am still dreaming about going back and have my 3-course Breakfast, yes breakfast. You will love it. Make sure to bring back honey and honey candies.
