We arrived at Rangala house still slightly delirious from jet lag having arrived in Sri Lanka the previous day and rather exhausted after a vigorous climb of Sigirya rock that morning. From the moment we stepped foot through the gates of Rangala house we were transported into a world of tranquility and relaxation! We spent two nights here but could... More

I'm not sure what the magic combination was, but our two nights at Rangala House were just the absolute highlight of our stay in Sri Lanka. Travelling with a friend, we stayed in one of the front rooms, with a great view across the valley. The whole team of Anthony, Sam, Amila, Sebastian, Charlie and others, were just so friendly... Rangala House is set high in the tea plantations east of Kandy. With amazing views from the large veranda where meals are served. Accommodation is to a high standard, and the hosts Anthony and Sam do everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible . Food is varied an excellent.

I am always delighted to return to Rangala House. This time two friends accompanied us and we had the place to ourselves for 3 nights. As usual we were warmly welcomed by Anthony and Sam and their smiling and excellent staff. Unfortunately their regular chef was away but his stand-in did a pretty good job. The meals were tailored to... More

We stayed at Rangala House for three nights in early December 2015. It was the perfect amount of time, allowing us to relax and soak up the peaceful atmosphere as well as doing a number of lovely long walks straight from the property. The setting, clinging to a steep hillside in the midst of mountains and tea plantations, is very... More

We had a great time. The hosts Antoni and Sam are kind and gracious. The rooms have great views over the valley and pool. The area is just beautiful and relaxing. The food was great! We had an amazing lunch while there that was perfect and complimented the beautiful view.

We arrived later in the afternoon in a monsoon, the house was shrouded in cloud and we wondered where the view was! We didn't need to worry, the next morning is was all there in front of from our bed, the views were fantastic and were better as the morning went on. Breakfast on the terrace was a sight to... More

We came here on a visit to the knuckles range organized by our hotel. Staff couldn't have been more helpful in organizing a walk we could do that took into account my limited mobility( as I have two artificial knees).we set off on a gloriously fabulous but gentle walk and got caught in one of the very typical short but... We stayed here for 2 nights during a 2 week tour around Sri Lanka. Set in a magical setting overlooking the Knuckles mountain range, this place is extremely special. Small boutique hotel with lots of charm. We did "Charlies walk" from the hotel. A 3 hour walk around the local hills and villages. The views are stunning and the locals... More
