We have never been to see a band on a Saturday night before but never again, waited ages to band to start due to people still having meals in where the band was ridiculous, should be in a different room , supposed to stop meals by 9pm , and they were still serving and children running around till very late... There wasn't a many customer's in so wondered what the hold up was. Once the food did arrive mine being the curry was cold and sent it... More

We use the Bonnie Moorhen for lunch after our Mercedes NE GTG we have at Stanhope, used them the last 3 years and looking forward to going there again in August. Great beer garden out the back, girls servicing are always really friendly and nothing seems to be a bother for them. Seen the comments on the Landlord asking for... More

Called in for a breakfast as we have a caravan at Heather View. Staff always friendly and dogs are allowed in which is good. Food always good and they catered for our daughter which is gluten free. Would recommend for a meal or even a drink if you are in the area.

We stayed for one night during the Coast to Coast cycle. ***The facilities – extremely poor*** Most things are forgivable if you get the basics right with a B&B – but the Bonny Moor Hen doesn’t. The rooms were basic (and terrible value for the price), with hostel-like single beds with broken legs and old, bobbly sheets. We had access... More

For food after a C2C day two it's ok - does the job. This year however we decided to stay at the hotel. On arrival after 60 miles cycling the last thing you need is the owner requesting money before even showing you where your room is. Out of three rooms no shower worked properly - sometimes cold, sometimes warm... More

Local pub, well decorated old building which was very clean and well presented. The Classic Burger was superb ! Lovely thick steak burger with melted cheese and slices of bacon. Homemade chips and onion rings were very good. I had the mince and dumplings with new potatoes and vegetables. Extremely tasty, and very good value. The staff were really nice... More

Stayed here during our C2C ride. The accommodation was basic. Unfortunately one of our party was missing bedsheets but was too tired to get dressed and alert someone. Our room was an ensuite comfy bed clean fresh linen but there was no hot water for a bath, the shower kept cutting out going from hot to cold. The toilet would... More

Live music every weekend and Bank Holiday Monday, good food at reasonable prices plus offers on through the week. Good crowds in for football matches,Rooms also available and in the main street in the village, ideal for those coming to Stone valley concert held each year.
