Was a bit hard to find with Google maps, but warmly welcomed by host. Room was comfortable and very clean. Host was helpful in suggesting local attractions, places to eat etc. Breakfast was fantastic. Well situated to get around to this part of Devon.

Combe House is situated in the centre of historic Colyton and is beautifully maintained by Chris who is an exemplary hostess providing a delicious breakfast exactly to your liking. We have stayed with Chris before and she made so welcome that we wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else in the locality. The rooms are nicely decorated with very comfortable bed and lovely shower room. We highly recommend this delightful B & B.

Room booked, confirmed and paid for using booking.com. Then told room not available because a prior reservation had been taken but not updated on booking.com. No way to run a business; this is, or should be, basic stuff!

Much enjoyed our stay in Colyton with Chris. Room very good, quiet, good temperature, bed comfortable, bathroom small (shower only) but everything worked fine. Breakfast excellent. We were able to park offstreet in Chris' yard, however there is only room for 2 cars there so if you need to park close, best to ask in advance.

I stayed here a number of years ago and I’m delighted to say it is as excellent a place to stay now as it was then. Clean, homely, delicious breakfast, good shower and excellent bed with loads of pillows. But the best thing is the marvellous welcome from Chris. After a day’s walking it’s a real treat to be given a pot of tea and a slice of orange cake. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

I have been back to Combe House twice this year, it must be my eighth or ninth year staying here for my visits to Wiscombe Park Hill Climb. I prefer not to stay anywhere else and have only had to when I have booked too late. Even then, Chris recommended somewhere nearby which was so nearly as good, but not quite! Fantastic place to stay, always welcomed with tea & fresh home made cake. Excellent breakfast, just the best place for the discerning, Hill Climber. As always, just perfect.

We stayed with Chris as usual when our own holiday cottage in lyme Regis is booked. This time we were going to the sidmouth classic car show. Unfortunately I had a nasty fall down some steps in lyme & arrived at combe house rather shaken. My husband explained what had happened & Chris could not have been more kind or caring-cups of tea & even a hot water bottle. You wouldnt get that in a 5 star hotel!!!! The rooms are spotless, comfy & a lovely breakfast- fresh fruit, cereals, whatever you want with a cooked breakfast &toast etc. As much tea coffee as you want. It has a lovely homely atmosphere -a super garden friendly animals & much much nicer than impersonal hotels. Thank you Chris.
