Long weekend away. Absolute peace and quiet, privacy, very dark skies and good sleep quality (except for the noisy pheasant one morning!). Is advertised on the website as having WiFi. This was not working during our stay, and was apparent in the guestbook that this was not the first time. We did not choose the property based on having WiFi,... More

Sincere apologies for the lack of wifi. The problem has been resolved temporarily with a reset and the next step, which will be put in place in the New Year, is to hard wire into our router to avoid the vagaries of using the electrical wiring to boost the signal. The Wi-Fi in the cottages works well in closer proximity... More

We had a fantastic time from start to finish! On arrival, the family were pressing the apples from the orchard and delivered the most tasty apple juice to us. A great way for the trip to start! The accommodation was perfect for us and the children. The farm is brilliant. Games room, tennis court, croquet and a swimming pool (although... More

We had stayed at the cottages many times before and they are superb. This time we tried the B&B and it was fantastic! We were in a wing of the farmhouse and had our own sitting area, as well as use of the conservatory and pool if we wanted. The bathroom was clean and fresh, with all modern equipment and... More

Stayed at Swallows Cabin - it was perfect for us and we had a wonderful weekend, from being greeted by Gordon and given a tour of the properties together with some tips for walks, restaurants and places to visit, to meeting Liz who sorted out a problem with our River Cottage booking (you must go for Sunday lunch), introducing us... My wife, 2 dogs and I have recently stayed in the Granary. The cottage is ideal for that "get away from it" all break. The pool and tennis courts were excellent and the provision of barbeque fuel appreciated. The cottages are close to seaside resorts which can be reached within 20mins. The enclosed back garden was appreciated by our dogs... More

We stayed in The Granary for three nights. The cottage was clean, well equipped and didn't feel crowded (despite there being 4 adults, a toddler and a dog in it!), the owners are very friendly and willing to help with anything we needed. The location is absolutely stunning with great views from the enclosed garden over the farmland and hills,... More

My husband and I have just returned from staying in Swallows. A beautiful cabin with all the facilities you need. Liz and Gordon are wonderful hosts and we will be returning. Lyme Regis, Seaton and Beer are are all worth a visit and there are many good pubs serving food in the area.

We stayed with our 3 young children in the Dairy - one of 2 holiday cottages in the converted barn. We had a great, relaxing holiday and wholeheartedly recommend the cottages to families looking for a break in the peace of the countryside within a short drive of the coast (20 min to Lyme Regis for sandy beach or Seaton/Beer... This was our 2nd night backpacking the East Devon Way, we were tired hot & thirsty after a 16 mile walk in temps of over 22* so our warm friendly greeting couldn't have been more welcome. A hearty breakfast sent us on our way to complete the last lag of the walk & certainly set us up for the day.... More

Beautiful cottages surrounded by fields. Lovely to escape to and only 4 miles from the coast. Well thought out for young and older children -games room, tennis court's, swing, heated swimming pool, horses and sheep to visit. Owners very friendly and thoughtful. E.g removing ladder from bank bed and deep end of pool to safeguard from temptation with our toddler!... More
