Incredibly quiet campsite, we really enjoyed it, did a lot of cycling and SUPing on the lake. It's also a good thermal area for wing and kite foilers.
But ⚠️ beer is only available in the small shop at the surf station, a 0.25l bottle costs €1.30. At the campsite reception we paid €24 for 4 bottles of 0.33ml!! Oh well, that's just how it is, haha:)) But we'd love to come back.

What a lovely welcome, helpful and very responsive staff (especially when the storm breaks out!). Thanks to Nicolas for his valuable advice. Very nice bungalow No. 65 with a very nice view.
It was a nice stay to see the famous walkways with our friends.

Just returned after an 11 night stay from this jewel in the Alps. We were camping with our 2 teenage sons aged 18 and 14 who also found this campsite amazing.
The views are breath taking and the campsite at Camping De La Plage is among the best we've stayed at over our 17 years of camping. Pitch sizes are really good with loads of room for our VW Camper and 4 man Awning tent. Facilities are brilliant and no matter what time of day or night, they were spotless.
The hosts Gaëlle et Loïc, we're so helpful with any quiries we had and always made sure that are stay was perfect.
I don't have anything negative about this site (very rare for me as I am a 5* camper and always find something to moan about)
One thing I would advise if you're planning on camping and want electrical hook up, make sure you have an extra long connector lead as unlike the UK your electrical hook up point might not be the nearest one to your pitch.
If your staying for a few nights, I would highly recommend hiring one of their fridges as we found due to how hot it got in the day, our little camper fridge struggled to keep things cool.

Take away the location which is excellent and the lake facilities and it is a two star site
No shop worth talking about
No waste grey water disposal for motorhome
Toilets only cold water for 3 nights
Washing up facilities likewise
We got a high up pitch on the sloping site
Far from flat..told it was full up but could not be reallocated another pitch despite others arriving much later..not with pre booked pitches
Pitches small
Nice view of toilet blocks from ours
Investigated area..there are better sites very nearby with even more lakeside access than this one
Brilliant area for walking and sailing..redeems this to a three rather than two it deserves

Quiet campside with basic clean sanitary. Not much shade, fixed places. I liked the place, although the host (especially the woman) was really unfriendly at times (she accused us of driving too fast on the roundabout, while it was someone else... she excused herself later) and also we let the tent and some things to dry on the camping spot next to us, and she was really strict that we had to put our things back on our own spot, because we only paid for 1(the tent and everything was soaked because it rained badly that night and our tent couldnt stand the rain so much...).

We stayed here for five days with our 27' twin axle caravan. The husband and wife, Gaelle and Loic, and their team are attentive to ensure our stay was perfect. We stayed on one of the largest pitches on the site, which was ideal. Both the toilet and shower areas are spotless. Gaelle's english is great and she is able to offer good advice about local attractions and things to do in the locality. We thoroughly enjoyed the pizza and our meal in The Spot, both of which are good value. The beef was superb. The area is outstandingly beautiful and the lake is amazing. We would definitely recommend this site and would return again.

we only had a one night stay on our way through France in September so wish we could have stayed longer. Nearing the end of the season it was so quiet and peaceful with such beutiful views over the lake. we were travelling in a motorhome the pitches are of a good size and well spaced on tiers. the facilities were excellent and expectionally clean . it was a bit of a drive from our intended route but very glad that we decided to go. we arrived quite late but were made very welcome by the owners . will most defintely be visiting again hopefully for a much longer stay

Lovely campsite on shores of Lac du Monteynard... Ideal for watersports enthusiasts with excellent beach and other facilities close to hand. Campsite had variety of pitches some under trees giving good shade. Choice of Bar, Restaurant and Pizza Takeaway on-site and nearby. Fabulous walks and lake cruise possibilites from close by. Supermarket and other bigger facilities in nearby Monestier-le- Clermont about 15 mins away. Campsite appeared to have good security arrangements with barrier controlled entrance. Hosts Gaelle and Loic couldn't have been more welcoming..

The camping, de la Plage, is a quite and clean camping. With some nice activities.
The camping offers a nice beach, where water activities are allowed, which is a nice thing in the summer. The beach offers a nice place to relax and enjoy the view of the beautiful mountains and the Lac de Monteynard. The camping offers barbecues on the beach for people to use. The playground for children isn't missing, so children will have some fun there. When the children don't want to go in the lake, they easily can go into the camping's own swimming pool with security.
The owners of the camping are daily available at the camping working either at the reception or at the bar/restaurants. If problems would occur, the owners of the camping are trying to fix it as fast as possible.
The camping has it own restaurant called 'Le Spot', where they offer really good food, and the pizzas are really good there. If you are just up for a refreshing drink or coffee with a nice view on the lake, than you got to go to 'Le Spot'. In the morning they offer fresh baguettes and croissants, selling baguettes also later with reservation. Because the camping lies at the water, the next supermarket is a 10 minute drive, which is alright.
The camping has 8 showers and 1 shower for handicapped people, the showers are really clean, but the lights do turn off after 5 minutes, but that cant put you off for this really nice camping. The camping offers two buildings were the showers and toilets are. The building get cleaned twice a day, which is important for many campers and give a good feeling if you know its clean.
The camping places are an reasonable size, the camping offers Bungalows. The Wi-Fi of the camping is reachable everywhere on the camping, so no need to walk to the reception. The gate of the camping can be opened whenever, with a special card given then.
The camping has a lot of information about hings which could be done around the camping, like a very nice hike, around the Lac de Monteynard, with some nice views.
I personally thought the camping is really good in many categories, and it's a camping were I'd like to go again. Nobody will make a wrong decision, if going to this camping.
Just a great camping!

I recently left the camping after my 3 week stay in July and I must say that for a 2-star camping, I was very pleasantly surprised. The sanitary is all very clean and the camping is very calm. The camping places are very large with a nice view on the lake Le Lac de Monteynard and the camping is right at the beach. The lake has a constant strong wind blowing over it making it a great place for windsurfing or kite surfing.
The restaurant of the camping Le Spot have very delicious pizza to offer and every Saturday there is a live band playing. Also the staff of the camping are all very nice and helpful.
Camping de la Plage is at a perfect spot where you can hike to the surrounding mountains or take the boat La Mira for a lake tour and to bring you to a very fun hike around lake with exciting bridges. Places like Grenoble or Gap are also nice cities to visit during your stay at la Plage.
If I am looking for an another holiday on for windsurfing and hiking in France, I will definitely come back to Camping de la Plage!
