Detailed Reviews
The staff were excellent and motivated, the service was friendly and I ate meat options for meals and it was all properly prepared and delicious with appropriate sized meals. Staff went out of there way to be helpful, good luck seeing animals. Only downside is that it is a little far away from the main strip (maybe 10mins walk) but staff will drive you everywhere anyway.

Sometimes we go to some places and just connect with it, thats how warmly environment we felt there. From rooms to fooding to hospitality all were top notch. We were even lucky enough to find wild rhino from resort balcony and also the beautiful sunset.

Spacious room with en-suite and hot shower. The staff are so friendly, attentive, helpful and very accommodating. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay here. Good choice of food and the resort staff gave us return lifts for all of our Chitwan National Park excursions. Also treated us to a Thara Cultural show too! Thank you Wild Adventure Resort for a memorable and welcoming stay.

The staff are amazingly hospitable, welcoming and helpful. Our room was large, comfortable and fully modern Western style. This resort was a pleasant surprise. The food was also excellent and always served graciously. Despite the shortages brought on by the Indian embargo, this place went out of its way to be accommodating and to ensure we had an excellent stay. We highly recommend the place. It's not the closest place to the Park entrance, but is only a 5 minute walk to it. The resort provides free transport for all events anyway.

My wife and I took a flight to Baktapur so we could see Chitwan after a medical mission in Nepal. We did not make hotel reservations because the guidebook said we could book when we got there. We arrived at the tiny airport and no one was there except a cap driver who wanted $4000 NRs to drive us to Chitwan. As we were haggling with him, a jeep drove up and the driver said he would drive us there for free if we stayed in his resort. The two of them argued in Nepalese for 10 minutes before we decided to go with the resort guy. He drove us nearly an hour to the Chitwan Adventure Resort. We were greeted by the manager and main guide who offered us a package for two nights that would include food, activities, room and transfers for $150 each or $300. We decided to go for it. One problem: they don't accpet credit cards and we had to walk to town to get an ATM which only allowed 10,000 NRS to be withdrawn with each transaction (so you get an international transaction fee for each). So - remember to bring lots of cash. We also didn't book a return flight and you can't do that online. Our guide was able to call and make reservations for our return, but guess what? No credit cards - so back to the ATM we go.
The 'resort' is hardly like a US resort, but it was a bit adventurous. The rooms were basic but comfortable and clean. There was hot water and electricity some of the time with a back-up generator on at night. There was a computer in the office they would let me use if the electricity was working. WiFi was available in the dining area. There are local huts with people living in them behind the hotel and the people and chickens can keep you up, especially in the mornings.
The grounds were neatly groomed and there was a guard at the entrance gate. I never felt like we needed a guard, but he was polite and I'm glad he was there. They served three meals each day and our server for all our stay was very attentive, although he spoke very little English and often didn't understand what we wanted. Drinks are extra but the food was hot and quite good. I was a little worried about getting sick, but never did.
The highlight of this stay was the activities. It included sunset at the beach, elephant ride, canoing down the crocodile infested river, and a hike with the guide where we saw wild Rhinos! We also visited the elephant brreding grounds where we got to pet a 2 month old baby elephant. There was also a tour of local villages and Suahara. For all of these, it was basically my wife and I with the guide. He was awesome! His English was good and he was quite funny. He knew where to go and was willing to change plans if we asked. We could have added a jeep ride, but decided not to.
This resort is a few blocks away from the main strip, and while the livestock kept us up at times, I think the bustle around the newer resorts would have been noisier. This is still an easy walk to Suahara and the 'strip'. I loved this adventure and would do it again!

DrTom234, many thanks for your long & thoughtful review, it sounds like you had a great time (except maybe at the airport). We don't tout for business at the airport of bus park, it's not really the image that we want to get across, but it is really nice when we do meet someone who hasn't booked anywhere and can welcome them to the hotel - we are pleased that you came to stay with us! John

We stepped out on dusk from ktm valley and threw our baggage in Chitwan Adventure Resort. Me and my friends were having sip of beverages with the melody of acoustic guitar and early 90's slow rock song. Next morning we took elephant ride and at afternoon Jeep Safari. There was Tharu cutural show, which was prettily nice, I was saying WOW when they dance with sticks, must watch once. There are wild bees around the resort premises, where you can grab honey during the seasons. Very friendly staffs, I enjoyed my stay there. Planning to visit next month.

Was recommended to this resort by Raniban Retreat. The road was under construction so getting to sauraha from kathmandu was very hard but once we got here, it was wonderful. The place is little out of the crowded sauraha but still close to the major places. The rooms are great and very comfortable, staff were friendly and the food was great. Had a wonderful jungle experience . The best part is they were always there to help with everything needed. Drop and pickup from each and every activity places. wow just wonderful, really resembles a great resort. Highly recommend this resort.
