My wife and I picked Maldives for our honeymoon, and went Centara for 5 nights. It was honestly the experience of a lifetime. From arrival to departure, we were taken care of very well. We selected the deluxe over water bungalow with the pool overlooking the sunset, but on arrival, the manager graciously upgraded us to their beach villa suite, which was very nice of them. The also decorated our bed for arrival and departure. The ocean was may be 30 feet from the villa, and we woke up to incredible views every morning. This was how God intended Maldives to be experienced! We did the all inclusive package, which I recommended, because it’s the best value for your money, and also includes the drinks for the bars. The food and drinks are very good and they have something for every pallet, give or take. The resort also have a lot of activities you can do in the island such as the spa, and water sports. We tried to do at least one thing every day until we left. Definitely, checkout their spa! They have Wi-Fi throughout the whole resort. Although it’s a little weak, it gets the job done. The resort also has an app where you can directly message the concierge and make various request which I found pretty great. Speaking of, the staff there were incredibly friendly and I met some great people there. Overall we had a marvelous experience, and I would 10/10 recommend this place. We will definitely go back again.

This is our second visit at centara grand at Maldives. The reason behind to return back to this island was the food. But they disappoint us! This visits they never recognized us as a repeater, no special treatment. The food quality and the verity at main restaurant is very average. There was nothing to eat at breakfast too. At the Italian restaurant food quality is very bad now…….. Last year we found a larger selection of food and all restaurant chefs made something special every day to surprised us. No more coming back !

Our team is indeed disappointed and at the same time surprised to read your comments. As we take any incidents of alleged service failure and food quality extremely serious, we have immediately brought this matter to the attention of our Management who has since conducted an investigation and as per our records no such concerns were raised during this period of time. It is also regrettable that we were not made aware of your concerns at the time in which case our team could have been of assistance and for us to initiate a service recovery accordingly. Our Reef restaurant do have various option of food. Maldives furthermore is in Asia, plus our company is of Thai origin, hence the strong Asian element, however with that said we still cater to a vast range of nationalities with regards to food options and the Chefs are always on hand to assist with specific needs. Perhaps the day you visited our buffet the dishes were more focused on other dishes outside of your liking. Plus, as you shared our one restaurant is an Italian restaurant which has over 50 choices on the inclusive menu. It saddens our Chefs that you had a poor impression of the food quality, as our Azzuri Mare dining experience has received several wonderful reviews and generous appreciation. With all said, on the food element, we offer 4 restaurants as a choice and have about 30 plus Chefs, so we recommend if any preferences or cravings to simply speak with us as the team remain super flexible to assist our guests. We understand your disappointment and we truly apologize for any unintended flaws. It’s important to us that our customers are more than satisfied and we would like the opportunity to resolve this issue immediately. If you give us a chance, we intent on making this right and hope you will allow us to speak with you to discuss the situation. Pros: The stay was superb! The overwater villa is the best choice, you can wake up watch the sunrise and swim. The food I guess to be in Maldives is good, quite pricey but that's everywhere. All the staff was welcoming and warm, always smiling and saying hi. Thank you all to take care of me. Cons: Just few suggestions, which are only for the improvement of the place itself: - At the breakfast I would have liked to have more options for the people like me who doesn't eat meat, but are not vegetarian. I guess since mostly of the crowd is Indian or Chinese they have more options for them, but I don't fancy Indian food or spicy food in general. Even mushrooms I found them spicy with a lot of black pepper. I would have liked to find some smoked salmon (which is very common in hotels for breakfast) and there was not. Even at the Chinese part, some shrimps xiao mai or gyoza, which also are very common. There was some choice like tuna one day or some seafood noodles, but it's really not for breakfast. - Don't allow kids to be by themselves. I found this very weird that there were a bunch of kids without parents at the swimming pool everyday. It's very dangerous for them and guests who wants to relax find it annoying. The parents just "park" them there to go and relax and other poor guests need to deal with it. I hope you will take this in a constructive way ❤️

Posting this abit late but a place worth of a review and mention had a lovely gateway to this paradise , had a day o two of rain but can’t fault the place staff especially the guy from reception nabeel went above n beyound to make our stay memorable so friendly n service orientated recreation boys at gym were great too so as spa staff .. resort manager always checking on guests which is good to see.plenty of dinning venues to choose from Thai Italian and all day restaurant water sports would been even better if you had a jetski I think this is a popular water sport activity generally I would recommend whaleshark snorkeling a must do if u visit !! Sunsets are so beautiful on delux over water villas will pool. I hope I will get an opportunity to visit again in near future.

The resort is excellent. Well maintained. But the staff are not so good mainly at the reception. It a very big property but have only two buggy. Waiting for the buggy takes long time. We had been with our parents and our child. It was a tuff time for us. The food is average. In our group few are vegetarian and few are non vegetarian they don’t even bother to ask about it and packed Chicken for everyone for take away during our travel. After our request the provided fried rice for the baby. The staff in the Reef restaurant were good. But the people sitting at the reception where not friendly at all. Please think before you book your holiday destination.

We went to the resort in April this year. It was a great experience from start to finish. On arrival, we were greeted by very helpful members of staff who made the registration process as smooth as possible. Rohit was particularly helpful throughout our stay. Staff correspond with you using an instant messenger system through a mobile application, whenever we made requested these were promptly addressed. All three primary restaurants are excellent. We particularly enjoyed the live cooking stations in the Reef restaurant and the special events. The special events are extra even on an all inclusive package but for the additional experience you get they are entirely worth it. The seafood BBQ and the Thai dinner experience were both great. The former was exceptional. The location and excursions are great and enable you to see more of the reef and other locations. We saw turtles and dolphins whilst out on the water. The highlight though of the trip and staying here comes down to the staff. They cannot do enough to help you and make your stay as pleasant and stress free an experience as possible. This goes from the excellent fitness instructor Sujith to those on the front desk at Reef such as Azu. They could not do enough to make out stay a great experience. For those wanting a bit of fitness, Sujith ran exercise classes and yoga classes that are well worth getting up a little early for. Sunset Pilates overlooking the Indian Ocean is an absolute must. We have to give a special bit of a mention to Sujith who also ran entertainment activities while we were there including some incredible karaoke sessions and would organise activities on the couple of occasions when we had heavy rain. All in all, we loved our stay. We will come back again.
