We gathered here, 8 of us, for a family wedding in the area last week. We were warmly welcomed by both Susie and Mike and very much made to feel at home for the duration of our stay. The property is very old and quirky, each room different from the next and with a wealth of visual interest. All the facilities are there for a very comfortable stay with a very charming dining area for breakfast which is accessible at other times of the day. The gardens and views are wonderful; so much to see and enjoy......and plenty available parking. Staying here will enhance any time you spend in the area.......Susie and Mike could well see us again.

What can I say. This place is just beautiful. From the moment you arrive Susie and Mike greet you with open arms and show you around. We occupied the 4 rooms in the main house and they were all beautiful, personal, quirky, comfortable and clean. Attention to detail was beyond expectation from the little chocolate on your pillow to fresh water in your room to bathrobes and slippers for your personal use. Let’s move on to the setting, it is something else! The grounds abs gardens are huge and immaculately kept. I had a little explore around and there are so many different areas to sit, even if you just want to have some peace and quiet you can join Buddha in a little meditation sanctuary around the back of the garden. Susie is very creative and provided us with an amazing cooked breakfast complete with her own little touches. Don’t hesitate to stay here, you won’t be disappointed. I am already trying to work out when I can next get back! Oh and I mustn’t forget, they put up the flag from where you came from to make you feel even more at home!

We stayed with Susie and Mike Skinner for two days over Christmas (should have been three but I was unwell so we went home early) in order to be close to family who live nearby. The house was dressed in wonderful festive spirit and we were welcomed warmly. Our room was in a converted barn and was on the small side but attractively decorated in country style with a sunflower theme and plenty of storage. Only downside was the small size double bed. Perfectly comfortable for one but not two people. Bathroom was small but warm and with a large shower with excellent head of water. Small downside was noisy 'macerator' style plumbing which responded to any trickle of water. Luckily it could be turned off at night. Breakfast was taken in the dining room in the house and was very good. We don't 'do' full English but other guests cooked breakfasts looked good. Plenty of choice of porridge, cereals, fruit, yoghourt, toast etc. Parking was easy and views from the house lovely. We would happily stay again but in the hope of there being a room with a larger bed.

I stayed at Clayton Manor Farmhouse when attending a course in West Sussex recently. I was warmly welcomed by susie and I was absolutely taken aback when I walked inside, totally beautiful and enhancing. If I could ever dream of my perfect home-this would be it to a T. I had the best nights sleep I have had in a long time and woke up to an amazing fresh fruit salad and upmarket "full English" (which kept me full up al day may I add!) The whole atmosphere in Clayton Manor is warm friendly and bursting with nostalgia and classic country style. I will be bringing my children to stay soon as they will love it as much as I do.... lovely friendly people and beautiful B&B.... Fabulous and very 😊 happy!!

Susie & Mike looked after us, over the last weekend in June 2017 & were the perfect, caring hosts. This is the perfect place to forget all your daily-grind sorrows & nourish the soul with a great mixture of luscious, picturesque countryside & - with Brighton a mere 20 minute train ride away - the sights, colour & attractions of citylife. Sample the fresh berries & herbs from the garden at breakfast; explore the grounds or take a seat in the little garden house - what a fabulous place! Will definitely be back.
