We chose this location bc of the villas having a living area, kitchen and small pool rather than just a hotel room. It was about a 7 min walk to Klong Khong Beach. A bit of hill to come back up so if you have mobility issues this is maybe not the place to stay. Better to stay right on the beach. To get to the beach go down path for Lazy Lodge - it’s almost directly across the street from Alanta’s driveway. Lots of places to eat super close by. And if u want to stay in u can order take away to be delivered Jen and her staff are amazing. EXCELLENT concierge service. They can pretty much set most things up for you - tours, car or scooter rentals, u can order delivery from local restaurants thru them using what’s app and several other messaging services The villa was amazing. I was a tad worried about the outdoor bathroom and mosquitos but it wasn’t really an issue. And I came to love the outdoor bathroom. The living area was super comfy as well. A large bottle of water was left daily as well as a plate of fresh fruit. Amazing stay. And I would def come back.

Nice villas on the hillside. Walled gardens with comfy dining and living space. Easy motorbike rental. Kitchens well equipped. Outdoor bathrooms. The only downside to me were the monkeys that explore the kitchen after lights out. They did no damage - but found it a bit creepy as you could hear them romping around.

My kids (ages 8 and 11) and my husband and I stayed a few nights at this villa on Koh Lanta during the school holidays (visiting from NZ). The villa is beautifully appointed and looks exactly like the photos. The staff are incredibly attentive and even provided a giant inflatable in the pool for the kids. The daily fruit platters were delicious and a real treat. We found a wonderful massage place right next door at the bottom of the driveway that could massage all of us at the same time for 300-400 Bht each. The beach is unfortunately not great that is local here. So each day we took transport organised by the hotel to do various things. One highlight was the tour to Phi Phi Islands (although they are now over crowded), my kids still loved the snorkelling. Another highlight was visiting the Old Town (lovely restaurants - our favourite was Grandmas house - for delicious proper coffee and even freshly baked cookies!) There's a lot of wildlife at this hotel, as the villas are all open air (excluding the bedrooms), but including the bathrooms. So if you are at all squeamish I wouldn't recommend. There is also lots of monkeys that come and visit the villa which are a bit cheeky. However the staff are adept at helping with this. I'd recommend this place as the staff were so kind and it includes daily housekeeping, however not sure it is the right place for young kids as there wasn't a lot to do immediately around us and some of the critters were too much for my city kids.

Thank you for an amazing stay with fantastic service. From start to finish the staff were incredible and provided 5 star service. Highly recommended stay, food can be ordered throughout the day. The villa is perfect and could spend the whole day there. Our laundry was done free of charge, rented us a bike and helped us communicate with our driver to get to our next destination. The hotel contact person found items I have left and are currently sending them free of charge. A fantastic stay with a fantastic staffing team. Thank you once again.

We (2 couples) stayed 4 nights at Alanta villa in November 2023. The villa itself had a beautiful setting. Every villa is different, ours was effectively 3 buildings, the 2 bedrooms and the living area, each bedroom opens onto the courtyard of the villa so it's great for 2 couples as you effectively have 2 hotel rooms in a private hotel. In terms of facilities, everything was exactly as we expected from the photos; if you like the photos then it is definitely for you. The villas are perfectly located for Klong Khong beach and the many bars and restaurants. As a guide, if you are looking at Google Maps to try and figure out what is in the local area (as I did) then don't be fooled; there are many more bars along the beach than it suggests; and all of them very chilled and welcoming. Every single place we ate was excellent. The thing that really stands out for Alanta Villa is the level and responsiveness of the service. We booked directly (definitely do this, it's MUCH cheaper). Aor is the manager and she handles all of the communications and is one of the most helpful and responsive people I've ever dealt with. Before we arrived she had arranged transport for us both to and from the island by land and sea. We made a last minute change to the booking which she was happy to accommodate. We placed an order for some drinks and snacks to be delivered to the villa whilst we were on our way there; everything was there when we arrived. During our stay we ordered food and drinks in more than once and this was always delivered faster than seemed possible. They have relationships with many of the local restaurants so you can get pretty much anything delivered and at cost. One point of note, it's the jungle, there are monkeys and the living area is open so they can get in. It requires some strict management of the fridge and the bins to stop them breaking in and stealing things. If you love monkeys then it's perfect as they will definitely visit. If you don't then you should possibly think twice about staying here as they can be aggressive.

My wife and I along with another 2 couples have just completed an amazing 3 night stay at Alanta Villas. From beginning to end, our stay was nothing short of exceptional. The villa itself is set up in the hills just off the main road near Klong Krong beach and gives you that sense of being away from it all. There are a number of lovely bars and restaurants close to the property, offering both local Thai food and Western dishes. Also, there is a 7/11 just down the road which has all of the supplies you may need as well as the usual toasties, drinks, and groceries. The Villa itself had 3 large bedrooms. 1 had a king size bed, with a single bed also in the room. The 2nd bedroom had a king sized bed and the 3rd bedroom had 2 twin beds. Each bedroom had its own lovely outdoor bathroom which really adds a sense of being one with nature, and both air con and a large ceiling fan. One of the main selling points for the villa is the large open aired living space. There is a big seating area which is really comfortable, along with a huge TV which comes equipped with Netflix and YouTube etc. We spent most of our evenings sat here with a few drinks and food and the area comfortably sat 6 of us. A large fully equipped kitchen with a hob, fridge/freezer, slow cooker, toaster, microwave is also available next to the lounge area along with a large dining table. A huge BBQ is also provided so every night was spent preparing food on the BBQ and in the kitchen, which was just a really nice way to spend the evening after a long day exploring the many sights on the island. The main attraction of the villa to us was definitely the lovely swimming pool. It's a really good size and the perfect temperature. Again, after a long day on the bike exploring the island, coming back to the pool and having a dip is just the perfect way to end the day. The staff at Alanta Villas were working to the same high standard of the villa itself too. The villa was cleaned thoroughly every day with a smile and any request we made from the staff was met. They really went out of their way to make sure our stay was a memorable one. Overall I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit Koh Lanta. For the price you pay, the service you are provided with and the surroundings you get to stay in is great value for money and so far in Thailand this has been the stand out place for us. It was my 3rd time on Koh Lanta and this time I decided to stay at Alanta Villa for one week. And it was so special in every way. Online communication and taking care of transportation from Krabi was dealt with very fast and effcient. At the same time it was very personal and genuine. And that was the kind of service I also received during my stay which made it so special. Upon arrival I wanted a scooter which was taken care of within 5 minutes. The villa itself (A8) was outstanding with a large pool, outside kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 2 outside bathrooms. Sometimes there were monkeys playing in the trees and that was a rare sight to see while enjoying your breakfast. Every day there were 3 breakfast options to choose from and laundry was free during my stay, which was a great service as well. Every question on whatsapp was answered within minutes and Aor and Laila took care of everything. It really made me feel like I was the only guest and they were fully booked. Within 10 minutes walking distance there are many restaurants, massageshops and mini markets, including an ATM. I would suggest renting a scooter and explore this beautiful island. Thank you once again Aor, Laila and the entire team for a great week and I am looking forward coming back to Alanta Villa soon!

It's been an amazing 2nd day stay out of 7-days, so glad to have chosen Alanta Villa on a whim. Everyone has mentioned how beautiful the villas are, so I won't go into that. Everything is right at your fingertips. We had arranged for their hotel transport pick-up from Krabi, so the journey was safe, seamless and actually very competitive in pricing. The staff here, Aor and her team goes above and beyond to make your stay memorable, always on call and super friendly. We will be celebrating my son turning 13 here with a beautiful cake (and wine) courtesy of the villa. You want food, it's a WhatsApp away with at least 4 different restaurants' extensive menus to choose from, ranging from very cheap eats to something a bit more moderately priced in place of going out for meals which is just a short hop away really. Seriously, no need to even leave your villa. The monkeys are a nice touch, in case you feel too lonely and isolated :)
So we, a family of four are just eating, relaxing, swimming, sleeping and while our days away from the hustle and bustle of home having the best indulgent vacation doing absolutely nothing, but worry abt what to choose for our next meal. I think the person who planned this wonderful set-up really knows what customers are looking for during a vacation and I'm quite sure of coming back here again.

We stay at Alanta villa for nights during our visit to Koh Lanta. Koh Lanta itself is a laid back island without much night life parties & crowded markets.
As we are looking for a place to relax & have a peaceful family time. We are so glad that we choose to stay at Alanta Villa.
The Villa is huge! Yes, it's really huge & gave us alot of space. It's the biggest Villa we ever stay so far during our travel journey. Fully equipped kitchen, spacious living area & it comes with full channel Neflix. My son enjoyed it so much.
And the highlight of the stay was the huge private pool! It runs on a perfect filtering system which keeps the water clean & clear during our whole stay. We swim day & night.
Lastly the service provided by Alanta Villa is great. Fast respond & they take care of us during the whole stay. Giving us a feel at home.
At first we were worry will our 8 day u night trip will be too long. But ended we feel its definitely not enough.

hi, well strange place put your question ? No the first place where i would look. But then again, times are changing and i am from another age. (maybe) ;-) . Secluded is a big word. Were are like 100m away from main street and 200m from the beach. In straight line. behind and around there is still "Jungle", but try Google earth and you can see for yourself. But depending, sometime they are makak monkeys coming to investigate. And lest you be worried. rest assured They are harmless.
As for safety for the children. we provide you wit a small phone so if something happens anywhere on teh islald, you just can call us directly. Other security numbers are there also. Since the tourist influx is getting more important there are no about 6 or 7 medical centers. Some are good, some less, and most love your insurance. We do work with one of the "more serious" one. and some we will not recommend at all, as they would just empty your pockets in case of a problem. As for emergency transport. The days that there were only 2 doctors and 2 ambulances available and took 30-40 minutes to arrive on our side of the island are long gone. In case of other emergency, we now have a bridge adn instead of 3 hours + drive to the big hospital on land, it reduced to 1.1/2 hour. And when before you needed to go to phuket, which is like 6 hours away, now there is a brand new international hospital in Krabi at 1 1/2 hours distance. And since 3 years we also have a dentist in case something goes bad there. So, no worries about that. I too have a 5 year old son, and am getting a bit older too, and, lets say, personally the fact that there is some medical help closer by is very satisfactory. appreciated. The can even check you cholesterol on the spot withing 10 minutes. Getting the bill paid takes 30. :-)
There are more places to choose from in the Ban Sala Dan area.
