Everyone has a different opinion and in my opinion this place is a perfect fit for me and my husband. This year they updated their breakfast area and did a great job! Our room was huge with a separate sitting area and clean. Ample towels, beds were comfy (could use better quality pillows with more choices of fluff), refrigerator large enough and stocked with reasonable prices on the drinks which makes it convenient. Its a great beach with a short drive to Saladan for shopping. There are a few things I would fix/change for American standards but when Im on vacation I dont worry unless its major.

Plus: nice, clean, beachfront and nice pool area, friendly staff and good room cleaning every day.
Minus: “Family deluxe room” apparently meant only 2 adults and 1 child although I’ve made a reservation and paid for 4 persons. Needed to pay extra to get an additional bed for one child. Annoyingly unstable wifi in rooms (but stable in bar area). Mosquito cover and isolation in rooms needs to be improved (for example no mosquito cover in bathroom ventilation). Beachfront sun chairs has no shadow possibilities whatsoever. Should extend the beachfront bar roof with one meter or so.

This was our second visit after a few years break. This time we stayed in a first floor hotel room in the block facing the swimming pool as the cottages (which we would have preferred) were all booked. The room was comfortable, with all the amenities we needed like TV, Wifi, Air con etc. The furnishings are very similar, in fact the hotel room was probably a bit larger, but of course the cottages give you a bit more privacy. There was also a nice balcony overlooking the pool. Rooms were cleaned daily. The pool area has been changed a bit, there are now sun loungers directly by the pool but they fill up quickly. And there are also a few loungers and chairs plus umbrellas on the beach in front of the property - again, in high demand. There have also been some changes to their beach bar/cafe where you can take your breakfast and snacks or light meals throughout the day. There is a small choice of set breakfasts which all include fresh fruit and juice; very reasonably priced (THB120, I think), and you buy a voucher from reception. occasionally we had our lunch there; they do mostly Western fare like baguettes, chips, and burgers. All pretty good and not expensive. And the fruit shakes are great. The staff are extremely sweet and helpful. Of course, the location is unbeatable, on what for me is the best stretch of Klong Dao beach with soft sand and clear, warm water. There are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance or only a short tuk tuk ride away. Love this place, I'm sure we'll be back1

We (2 adults + 3 children) stayed for four nights at this friendly hotel situated on the beautiful beach just south of Saladan pier. The staff were helpful and the hotel was kept clean. We’d booked one of the family suites which was suprisingly large and comfortable and which also included a very nice big balcony. Quite priceworthy!
On the negative side one might mention the breakfasts that were a bit simple even though the coffe was nice. During the days we stayed there it was quite a lot of jellyfish in the sea which made the swimming a bit unpleasant due to their painful ”threads”.
Alltogether we enjoyed staying at this hotel and would warmly recommend it to any family coming to Kho Lanta!

Once again we had a wonderful time at Laguna Beach Club. We traveled with our small son (2 years) and we had an allover pleasant stay. The beach is simply georgous, just around the corner and perfect for small children as the water is very shallow and there are only very small waves. My husband enjoyed diving trips and at the afternoon we took advantage of the large Pool wich is partly in the shade beacause of palm trees around it. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortably spacious for the 3 of us. We definitley plan to visit again.

We have visited this hotel a number of times the last ten years, the last time three years ago. There is always a nice reception and staff. Absolutely good value for money. The staff will not quote Shakespeare but you will always get your concerns addressed fast enough.
The Klong Dao beach is nice and it has a mixture of different restaurants, and near the Saladan village.

We are somewhat biased in that we have only stayed at Laguna Beach when in Koh Lanta but we have certainly compared middle range hotels. Laguna has a very high ranking and seems to be highly cost-effective. We have very good experience with the cleaning staff. The staff is always very friendly and there is a relaxed and positive atmosphere also between the staff and the manager, which you can see for yourself every day.
We hope to be back next year. We usually book directly with the hotel.

The resort is very pleasant - clean & tidy with almost everything you need although the restaurant menu was very basic with no Thai food at all - but there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Our big problem was the bedchairs. We need comfortable bedchairs so before booking I searched Agoda & Booking websites which showed plenty of bedchairs with comfy mattresses around the pool and on a grassy area at the side. But when we got there they were all gone! Replaced by hard plastic bedchairs with no mattresses. I went to reception to ask for some but they said they don't have them. I pointed out that they provide them for some of the expensive rooms and she started to get ratty so I walked away. So we had to go to another hotel a long way down the beach and use theirs - not what we wanted
It's such a shame because we liked the resort and would have gone back but we can't.

As mentioned: the location is just perfect. Located on the best beach in Lanta-Klong Dao. We stayed in a Deluxe room, which was spacious and sparkling clean. The only thing I did not like was the steep stairs that were hard to climb with a baby and the pram. But otherwise the room nice, with a good quality tv that also had usb and a big balcony with a garden view. Pool area is lovely and much better than I expected after looking at the pictures. Beach bar is a good place for relaxing and watching the sunset. There are plenty of sunloungers although not enough shade. There is scooter rent, laundry, tuk tuk, taxi, massage on the site. Food in the beach bar is average, breakfast is cheap but nothing special. If you require a very good breakfast you are better off elsewhere. Staff was amazing and always helpful. Place is very quiet. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily stay there again

Perfect in every way. We stayed in beach house, with private jacuzzi. The location is fantastic, close by to many bars. Restaurants for meals and dinner for sunset on beach with fireshows and beach bbqs. Close to Saladan Pier, 3km, Handy for day trips. Massages available on beach front, and the team of ladies are amazing, heavenly to have massage and watch stunning sunsets. All Staff are exceptional and friendly, helpful and caring. Room always cleaned and stocks replenished. There is restaurant on beach front. Pool in resort is amazing with swim up bar. Set in lush gardens. Aircon worked great and no noise. Decor beautiful. Quiet and peaceful. We watched sunsets and sunrise over the beach whilst having a cuppa on our verandah with view of Phi Phi in the distance. I will be returning and highly recommend.
