We arrived Friday and discovered upon arrival that the hotel hosted two concerts that weekend. Our family room was spacious, clean and with a beautiful view! However the noise from the concerts were unbearable, and drunk people in the hallways banging at our door made our stay horrible! One of my kids were so scared and couldn’t sleep for a really long time after the concert ended at 1 am! We even asked for ear plugs at the reception, but they didn’t have any. We also asked to change our family room to a more quiet part of the hotel since the concert was super close. We even offered to change our family room to two double rooms, but no luck with that request. The morning buffet Saturday can hardly be called a buffet - really poor choices! However the buffet Sunday morning was ok. ❌ We’re disappointed that the hotel didn’t inform about the concerts in advance to our arrival. ❌ We’re disappointed that the hotel didn’t made an effort relocating us when the noise was unbearable. ❌ We’re dissatisfied with the poor breakfast buffet Saturday. ✔️ Had fun playing mini golf with the kids, free of charge. ✔️ Nice location, clean room and beautiful scenery. ✔️ Car park close to hotel.…
This place has a high quality restaurant with excellent food. Clean and delicate dining room. Great value for money. Beautiful location with different interesting items and sights around. Recommended to book in advance.
We were hunting in the mountains north of the hotel, near Nåvatn. Due to long hike out of the terrain we decided to call Eikerapen Gjestegard to see if we could get some food and a bed to sleep in for the night, instead of driving all the way home. We called just after the kitchen closed, but the owner arranged so we could have an excellent cold buffet upon arrival. Clean rooms, newly refurbished. The owner was a very friendly guy and made sure we had everything for a pleasant stay.
Outstanding food, great nature, good beds and service minded staff. I have been here now 4 times in 2 years for teaching my clients in my business. We were provided 2 big rooms with the equipment we needed. I recommend it.
18 persons from Agder Førerhundklubb (Agder Lead Dog Club) stayed from Friday - Sunday, end of August 2019. The unanimous conclusion was that Eikerapen Gjestegard was a perfect choice for our yearly overnight trip. We found both the place, the hotel, the staff and food very satisfying - and have already booked our next stay in 2020.
A very friendly and welcoming place in the middle of nowhere. Near forest amd a big lake. Wonderful view. Nice rooms, no television. A very nice restaurant with a set menu and a small but just right breakfast. Welcoming staff.
Every sunday they offer buffet and we must say it was and happening. 6 or 7 maincourses, the same colddishes and 4 choise of dessert/sweet. Very tastefull homemade food, and good value for Money(285 nok).
New hotel just opened. Great hospitality. Average food etc, Nice rooms. Perfect place for events and also if you have small kids. Not many rooms.... Close to the Eikerapen ski resort. Downhill and great cross country sloops.
We want to congratulate Åseral with the newest top destination in South of Norway - Eikerapen Gjestegård, and a big thanks to Elling for investing in seeing his dreams come true building this beautiful guesthouse in the steep slopes of Eikerapen and with a terrific view to the Øre lake and parts of Åseral valley. The establishment has just been open for a month so there is surely details to be finished and operational processes to be put in place, but we got spledidly taken care of by Sandra and her staff when we nighted over from one day to the other in late July. Eikerapen Guesthouse is an excellent "base camp" for going on day tours to Kyrkjebygda i Åseral, Ljosland and Bortelid. We are sure that when they open up for Booking.com, you better be making your reservation in due time.…
