My wife and I spent 5 nights here recently.We truly had an amazing stay.The location was great ,just a few steps and you’re on the beach.The rooms were clean and modern.The restaurant was lovely ,good selection of food/drinks and the dinner menu changed daily which was cool.The atmosphere was very chilled ,huge shaded sunbeds on the sand and and a nice pool.The hotel is located in a quieter/peaceful part of the island which I enjoyed,you can walk down a long stretch of beach and explore Matemwe village.Getting to the the more touristy beaches (Nungwi,Kendwa,Paje) requires a taxi and are about 30-45 mins away.Mnemba Island is visible from the hotel so if you’re planning to go swimming with the dolphins and snorkeling/diving at Mnemba then this is about the best place to stay ,we took a boat from the beach outside the hotel ,the ride to the dolphins and Mnemba was a lot quicker than doing it from most other places on the island . Lastly ,I have to mention the staff at Dreams Bay who really made the entire stay a pleasure,and the wait staff at the restaurant(Mamoud ,Jumah,Irene,Francis & Elisabeth) were especially cool and friendly .Highly recommend!

The staff were brilliant right from when we arrived! We have always preferred small boutique hotels for their personal touch and Dreams bay did not let us down. Their friendly staff Goodluck, Abu, Mary, Mahmood and Musa not onlyensured we were always catered for at the restaurant and bar area but taught us a lot about Zanzibar culture and life. The food was brilliant and the staff went over and beyond finding me some roasted mahindi 😊. If you do have a upset tummy like I did at some point (after eating something at Stonetown) I recommend you ask for Mahmoods soothing chamomile, lime and honey tea👌🏽 The hotel is only 4 steps away from the lovely white beaches of Matemwe and theres never a dull moment on the beach. Do watch out when you get in the water though as some parts are infested with sea urchins!!! I found the little shop in the hotel much better and hussle free compared to shops in Stonetown when shopping for souvenirs and tshirt etc, they have a very good selection of quality stuff and their prices are good too!! Hotel room was always clean.

This is a small hotel with a personal touch. I want to praise the breakfasts, they are very plentiful - there is a wide choice of what to eat. There are fruits and juices. I would recommend the option with breakfast and supper included. There is a fee for bringing in fruits bought outside the hotel and cutting them, but no one strictly monitors these, so this is on your conscience ;-). The beach is very clean compared to the village one, it is constantly cleaned. The hotel staff does not allow the locals from the village to bother vacationers. Local children sometimes play football on the beach, but this only creates color and does not interfere at all. It should be borne in mind that the tide is strong enough here and it is comfortable to swim only at a certain time following the tide. The rest of the time you can go diving, which I did, ride a bike around the village, go on excursions. In terms of taxi services and excursions, I recommend Abraham, his WhatsApp# +255 779 504 683.

We are a group of 7 friends and we spent 10 days in this hotel. It was amazing! Nice staff, lonely beach, incredible dinners with seafood. Also rooms are very clean & have a good seaview from a balcony
We enjoyed our staying in Tanzania and we can recommend this hotel to visit, stay and relax without noisy crowd in Nungwi or Stown Town.

I recommend this hotel, it has amazing view of the beach (cleaned also by the staff), the staff always supportive with any request that they can help. This place I recommend to people that want to relax and enjoy peacefully. During the time we've stayed here Mish supervised everything and helped us. She is great and the calmest person.

If you want a huge structure, lots of animations and restaurants around, this is not for you. The hotel is very small on a very quiet working beach. Local fishermen go fishing from there, local children play on the beach... The place is beautiful and relaxing, away from the noise and hubbub. Our room was very clean, towels changed twice a day, bed turned down every evening. We mentioned to the very friendly general manager that the main downside of our room was the lack of drawers to put our clothes. The grounds of the hotels were immaculate. The staff being cleaners, guards, waiters, gardeners, reception were wonderful and friendly. Some were surprised we acknowledged them at the beginning, but they got used to it and became very responsive. Food was fine, maybe a bit repetitive, but this is partly due to us staying 12 nights. We wanted quiet, we got it. We wanted to relax, we unwound.

We were guests at this property from 15 to 23 June and I can say that we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and effectiveness of the entire structure. Very cozy and intimate allows you to experience the entire holiday at first. The restaurant is not the usual village buffet, it is a very elegant restaurant, with staff to match, it is a really tasty cuisine and sometimes even gourmet.
