LSang Giri nestles in the cool mountain of UNESCO World Heritage Site Jatiluwih, and this is where you can enjoy glamorous camping to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. If you are seeking a digital detox retreat, this is certainly highly recommended. 👍 The experience of staying in Sang Giri's African-style Glamping Tents was marvelous. It exceeded my expectations of camping out in the wild jungle. I was charmed by the warm welcome that surprises us to the stunning view of tropical rainforest and our meals served with a creative twist.

Everything is far far too expensive. No shuttle to the rice terraces. Far from a glamping experience (see photos). As usual the green concept is just a easy way to take a lot of money from naive people. To be honest I have to mention the real wonderful sunrise. very impressive.

We had a very nice stay at the resort. We slept in a deluxe tent which was very clean and with an amazing view. We also did a jungle trekking which was Fun. The food in the evening was very good, espacially the chickenwings! It is a 30/40 minuten walk to the ricefields, worth the walk.

I have been to Bali so many times but have never stayed in a place with views such as this. A 180 degree view of 7 mountains (they say 7 but I counted 8!)and the tropical rain forest. The tents were very comfortable and clean. Food great. Try the curry chicken cooked in bamboo..a must! Service was friendly. The activities were awesome. Trekking in the rain forest brought us to a pristine natural rock pool that the village uses for purification rites. The water is crystal clear and we had a wonderful swim in it. You can do cycling through the jatileuwih rice fields which unfortunately we didnt have time to do. We participated in a temple ceremony in the evening. They provide you with all the sarongs and tops and even flowers for you hair. Men should bring your own white shirt though. Highly recommended if your want to spend time engulfed in nature and recharge your batteries.

Where to start... The views, the staff, the food, the obscenely comfortable beds, Jati Luwih is our go to escape! We live in Bali and work in the F n B industry and after finding out about Sang Giri around 2 years ago we visit almost every month for a chill, escape from normality and to reset the batteries. It's truly a beautiful place, the views are second to non. On a morning you can see 7 different mountains from the mountain Deck whilst having a cup of their home made coffee or ginger & lemongrass tea. Swimming in beautiful waterfalls, afternoon walks through beautiful untouched jungle. Night time comes and the log fires are lit, the wine comes out and Aron the executive chef begins preparing a feast. Aron who learned is trade and travelled to Thailand, Germany, Singapore and spent 5 years perfecting his trade in the multicultural city of Melbourne. He returned to share his amazing eclectic cooking skills with anyone lucky enough to stay here. The range of flavours this guy has in his armory is orgasmic!!! Sunsets on the deck, or stargazing beautiful silent nights has been the roots of many a new song written and recorded here. I'd definitely put this in the top 10 of singer songwriter retreats in Bali, the tranquility and freshness of everything here is just a sensory overload. As I mentioned earlier in my review we live in bali and frequent the jati luwih area and Sang Giri does exactly what it says on the tin!! "Glamping". Thank you Aron & all your amazing crew for looking after us on so many occasions and we look forward to making so many more beautiful memories with you guys!!! Much love!
