Villa Despina, a beautiful complex of apartments just a few steps from the sea, is situated 2.5 km from Polichrono on the Cassandra peninsula in Khalkidhiki. The apartments are in a quiet and serene setting that is at the close reach to the areas tourist, cultural and shopping attractions. It is in a 80-year-old olive grove with garden in gently-sloped area with a view on the Torroneos bay and the Sithonia peninsula.

It was my first time at Villa Despina, but i cannot wait for the next holiday in the same place. It was a pleasure for me to meet the very kind, friendly staff and also, to live for 2 weeks in a cosy apartment with a spectacular sea view. Speaking of it, the sea was very clear, with a quiet, clean beach. Nearby, there is a shadowy garden where children can play while their parents enjoy a lot of cocktails and fresh drinks from the beach bar. I cannot wait to come again.

We were very pleased when we arrived to Villa Despina, the location is much nicer than in the pictures. It is very clean, the garden and the beach are amazing, you have a lot of privacy, the owner and his parents were wonderful and very helpful. The beach bar staff was friendly and nice, we had a great time.

We enjojed our stay in this lovely place. Cozy villa with modern furniture and fully equipped kitchen, private beach with huge sunbeds and crystal water. The beach bar has a "library"for gin lovers. Free WiFi with very good signal. Family run business by trained, dedicated owners.

As a family of 4 ( twins 2.5 years) we found it perfect for peaceful and serene vacation. Beach is clean, water just right temperature and apartment well designed. Anastasios, our host, is friendly. We were at two bedroom apartment, and found it good. Kitchen could be bit more equipped for the price of acomodation.I would’t mind microwave for example. Last year were in one bed room apartment ( also at Villa Despina) and it was ok, but not enough space for all of us. Garden is well kept, there are swings and a slide and kids loved it. Kitchen cabinets could also be better cleaned inside. All in all we love it.

The hotel is well refurbished, it has a nice beach and garden. It's such a pity that the hosts are grumpy, with too many rules. When you arrive, they start with the 'rules of the house', meaning what you cannot do, and the encouraging 'if I don't tell you anything, it means you are good'. The harress you to move your sunbeds back EVERY TIME you leave the garden. They take the tap from the garden hose, so you cannot use the water in the garden to clean salt after a sea bath. They have signs of 'don't step' over the grass lawn in front of the hotel, and they harress children if they play in the grass. They have apple trees and plum trees in front of the hotel, but you can't touch the fruits. Also, I must say the dayly cleaning of the rooms is very superficial - just brooming dayly ang changing sheets and towels every 4 days.

They say wherever you travel, you leave a piece of your soul in the places you love. That's what happened to this beautiful place and we have kept on coming back there for the last three years. The place is wonderfully positioned by the sea in a quiet area, brand new and modern, spotless clean, freshly maintained, quiet and intimate. We really appreciated to find quite many facilities which made our vacation extraordinary (private parking, large garden next to the sea, sunbeds and umbrellas, fully equipped kitchen, large beds with good mattresses, brand new furniture, very good WIFI). Everything is as described on their website and the place looks exactly like in the pictures. Being outside the town was an advantage as we were away from crowds and noise. From here we used to easily access other places like Afithos, Hanioti, Posidi beach, Sani and Mavrobara lake. This family business is run by a young owner (Anastasios) and his parents. They are very enthusiastic and hardworking people, who manage the place always having a smile and a nice word for their guests. I don't remember having a question or request to not be answered or met immediately. Sharing our life between hotels and flights, we appreciated that we found a beautiful and warm place, where the hosts made us feel like home. While reading the reviews written by other travelers, I saw a rather personal and subjective one which I felt it made injustice to the place and to his dedicated owners and which, from our perspective, does not reflect the reality.

I have visited a number of places in the Kassandra Peninsula, and Villa Despina was a fantastic choice for a family with 2 small kids. Quiet, wonderfully maintained place, the rooms are extra clean and with a warm and designed interior. The private sand beach with an abundance of green shades is very well suited sor kids and toddlers in particular since it has security fencing and doors to prevent accidents. Our host Anastasios, was very friendly, hospitable and goes out of his way to accomodate his guests to perfection! My family and I would definitely revisit Villa Despina again at some point in the future and I would highly reccommend it to any family especially with children!

Everything was well thought in the villa. Clean and tasteful. Hospitality is great. The place is suitable for family or a couple. It is practical that house is by the beach and there are trees and grass for the ones looking for shadow and chill. One of the quiet and qualified places in Kasandra region.

The place is very beautiful surrounded by trees and a lot of green area across the street in front of the see. The room was very nice, clean, recently renovated with nice furniture and kitchenette equipped offering everything you need for preparing a breakfast/lunch/dinner. You will fill like home  There is also a parking lot if you are travelling by car. The place is quite as it is outside the village, the beach area is fantastic and not crowded as usually only the guests from the villa are using the beach and garden. The big advantage of having the garden is that you can spend your time there anytime as you can stay away from the sun ray in the middle of the day or choose to get some tan on the beach or garden area. You will find a barbeque in the garden and a playground for kids. You can use the sun beds and umbrellas. The Wi Fi is very very good, it works also in the garden and on the beach. The owner is very welcoming and helpful providing also information about sightseeing nearby. This was impressive as usually you don’t get this kind of info from the owners. If you are wondering where to eat close to the villa, there is a very nice restaurant(Azur), perfect for lunch, dinner and cocktails during the day on the beach. For a variety of taverns, you can try the ones from the village or villages nearby. I can’t wait to come back.

It is my third time when I'm going for summer holiday in Greece. I tried Crete, I tried Sithonia and now I tried Kasandra. Believe me, this time I made the perfect choice. It was the best. This place, more exactly Villa Despina, was the place that my family needed for holiday and relaxation. The suites are big and they allow you to feel like in your own home. They are very cosy. The rooms are clean and you have also a kitchenette. The balconies give you the opportunity to spent the time with your family with an entire fabulous landscape just in front your eyes. The services include AC and wi-fi internet free. The owners are always looking to improve their services only to provide you the best experience in their hotel that you have chosen for your holiday. The entire design of the hotel and for the garden is their merit. I loved the position of the hotel. It is situated near the beach, far from the noisy, crowded area of the village. You can have here the perfect day on a private beach or the perfect sunset/night with a cocktail in your hand. There is also a children playground. You can relax on your sunbed and also keep your child under observation. By the way there are enough free sunbeds for everyone. As a conclusion...Thank you again, family Panopoulos, for the amazing experience that you offered us during our accomodation in your hotel! Yassas!
