The Bateman Arms is an 18th Century, three storey coaching inn situated in the small village of Shobdon in the unspoilt County of Herefordshire, just a few miles from the Welsh Border.The Bateman Arms has three main guest rooms situated on the first floor. These are furnished in traditional style, equipped with modern conveniences such as digital television, WIFI internet access and ensuite bath or shower. In addition there are tea and coffee making facilities, supplied bath robes and hair dryer. In the 'Coach House' we have a further six rooms offering a more contempory style yet the same, high quality facilities. Two of our rooms can be used as family rooms providing comfortable accommodation for up to two adults and two children.

Excellent place to stay. Little travel from where we’re meant to be but worth the short drive. Great room, excellent breakfast and a nice bar to relax in. Friendly environment and the owners are all round great people. Will defiantly be visiting again!

Great service from Elizabeth and her colleagues ; lovely, welcoming locals, and great food. Thank you for keeping up with my steak complaints, compliments to the chef for the second one ! I will definitely be back !!
