My wife and I stayed here for a couple of nights with some old friends to have a short break and a good catch up. The rooms were clean and comfortable and appeared recently decorated. The landlord and staff were very friendly, the food was OK and there were three well kept real ales on tap, including a couple of... More

~ A really warm reception from Tracey and Staff. Delicious food, served with a smile. The locally caught Trout was exceptionally tasty and beautifully presented ~~ If you are in the Marches area and are hungry ~ I suggest you call in! The real ale is kept with loving care and is highly quaffable!

David, On seeing the title "Wonderful Trout" I thought you were referring to Tracy. She is great but will be even more impressed to hear that you enjoyed your fish so much. Thanks again. Simon More

The room was comfortable and clean but needed updating. The landlord and landlady were very friendly and helpful they gave the impression nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was very good plentiful, well cooked and served. Would I stay here again yes without a doubt.

We too were "Mortimer Trailers" and therefore had a one night stay midway along the trail. However, we knew before arriving that we had made a great discovery... I made the booking over the telephone with Simon one of the proprietors. Simon was genial and the last minute booking was effortless. Simon's demeanour did not alter when on a busy... More

, I stayed one night while walking the Mortimer Trail (a.k.a. the Mortimer Bog, alas) in June. The room, in a former stable, had plenty of character from the old stones and beams, and a pleasingly bold color scheme. (Not a fan of beige.) Very comfortable bed; bath small but functional. The pub/restaurant was also attractive. The menu was imaginative... More

We stayed here, sadly for only one night, on the weekend. We had a large, comfortable room in a separate annex to the main building. The best thing about this place though is the food. Fantastic value and really high quality. There is a very good wine list and a good choice of beers and ciders. The location is great... More

Our first visit three years ago was disappointing. Since then this has changed ownership and for the last year has acquired and excellent chef who now has clearly trained up an very good staff. This week was our 3rd visit there to eat during this year and the standard and quality is still improving. Our most experience was for Sunday... More

We were on our way to Hereford camping and the weather was due to be bad so decided to stop in B&B for the first night. The staff were very helpful and welcoming and we felt very relaxed. We decided to eat in the pub and booked a table for later that evening. We had a couple of excellent beers... More
