You won't find a more peaceful or beautiful place to spend a quiet holiday than Jérome and Dana's exceptional chambres d'hôtes in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. Our hosts were warm and welcoming, the breakfasts delicious and the service impeccable.

Just spent a wonderful 6 days with friends at Jas du Boeuf. Possibly the quietest, most peaceful place I've ever been! Others have already commented on our excellent hosts, Jerome and Dana; the superb accommodation; the exceptional breakfasts; and the gorgeous views. All spectacular! I can only add that having the outdoor kitchen gave us the choice of eating at...

This was a perfect retreat for us. We sought beauty, peace and tranquility and found it in spades. We spent one week in Romarins in the main house and found this to be our preference as it offered more privacy. Our second week was in one of the bungalows by the pool. Another lovely, simply furnished and spotless room but...

I loved it....

The tranquillity and peacefulness of the setting of Le Jas de Boeuf will stay with us - the view from th pool was breathtaking. Dana and Jerome were the loveliest of hosts - nothing was too much trouble for their guests; the scrumptious breakfast with freshly made cake, fruit and yoghurt set us up for the day, suggestions of where...

We stayed at this B & B en route to Provence. The location is spectacular, set up high in the hills above the countryside with far-reaching views towards mountains and the South of France. The rooms are either in the main house or, as was ours, situated by a lovely pool in a cabin. Step outside and you are greeted...

We had a meal the first night which was lovely and we enjoyed seeing their beautiful house. Stayed in one of the bungalows which was just gorgeous, made even better by the pool, outdoor kitchen and the glorious views. Such a peaceful place...

A friend and I stayed at this bed and breakfast in Provence for 6 nights. Beautiful countryside, great hosts, and relaxing elegance in a converted sheep farm. The welcoming and friendly hosts will give you recommendations for nearby restaurants and villages to visit - and don't miss the market in Fourcalquier. A perfect mix of country relaxation, and exploring French...

Jas du Boef is perfect for a relaxed stay in the south of France. Jerome and Dana created a peaceful and unpretentious atmosphere in an environment that combines breath taking nature with true French hospitality. Extremely dog friendly. Love to come again!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Nestled on the southern slopes of the Montagne du Lure under the clear blue skies of Haute Provence northeast of Aix-en-Provence, Le Jas du Boeuf offers luxurious accommodation in a magical location with magnificent views. Calm is guaranteed by hundreds of acres of forests and fields scented with wild herbs and lavender, yet great little restaurants are just down the road. There are no neighbours within view or hearing distance and all rooms have their own private entrance directly from the gardens. You can choose between stone walls in the beautifully restored 18th century sheep barn or modern poolside bungalows that pull the outside in. Read in one of the many shady corners of the grounds or hike up the mountain and enjoy the views of the Alps before taking a dip in the heated, infinity pool, which is salt and chemical free thanks to the latest UV cleaning technology ... more   less
