The perfect rural idyllic estate in the centre of France. Domaine the Chassy is located in the centre of France, in the Cher departement, in the Berry region. The nearest town is Bourges, appr.250 Km south of Paris. One of the 18th century outbuildings has been converted into two selfcontained holiday homes or gites. In the main house and in another outbuilding there are four guestrooms or chambres d'hotes. Once or twice a week there is tables d'hotes (dinner). For the chambres d'hotes guests there is a summerkitchen (fully equiped) as well, they can use whenever they want. Besides the two gites at Chassy we rent out two other gites named les Blonds at 3 km away from Chassy and la Brande which is 50 km away.

In May 2019 we stayed in this beautifull Gite for three wonderfull days. It is a peaceful and idyllic place with a fabulous harmony. Even if the old, fine houses were fully modern equipped they conveyed the wings of history. The houses, gardens and the pool have a lovely charm. The generrosity and hospitality from the family and the dogs made us feel happy and comfortable. The food was delicious. We will defenitely be coming back!

July of 2006 Our family went to the F1 race in Magny-Cours. We searched high and low for the best place to stay ---and found one. It is called Domaine de Chassy and is classified as a French Gite (aka Bed and Breakfast). It is run by a husband and wife from the Netherlands. They speak perfect English. They had several European families (about 3) staying with them & have their own children to care for, that during the summer months that they hired a nanny (who spoke English) to entertain their guest's children!
Their place is an old old farm they have turned into a B &B (Gite as they say in France). Each room has an authentic charm which the owners restored with care and attention to detail. They also have a beautiful garden area and a swimming pool.
I suggest that you do full board here and have their evening meal here too. They fix fantastic gourmet meals for adults, and special meals for the children, each night for a very reasonable price.
It is located in the Centre region of France, in the Berry region. The nearest town is Bourges (21 miles from Blet) and appr.250 km (about 160 miles) south of Paris, just outside of a town called Blet.
It was about a 30 min drive to the F1 track near Nevers (not including the time to get in and out of the parking lot!)
