The Lemon Creek hotel, good rooms, nice breakfast. Monkeys in the garden, quiet beach, good service, friendly staff. And not to forget the pancake/egg man at breakfast, the garden at the hotel with dedicated gardeners, the household, clean and friendly, the poolboys, the boys at the beach, bringing the beds, everything was really great, even the juiceman Moses at the beach with his Boabab juices, and the plumber/serviceman. Everybody is doing his/her very best. And it is a quiet area, walking on the beach is possible without many people wanting something from you. Rooms are good, extra money for airco, but we did not use it, the fan was good enough.

The Juice Doctor is a lovely, friendly creature who will look after your stuff, while he is preparing a juice exactly how you like it (lots of ginger, or any fruit), while you are taking a swim. A good juice can take time, so just be patient and enjoy the beach while you are waiting.

The hotel is situated in lovely grounds and has access to the beach, however, it’s not close to local restaurants or bars so a taxi is required if you want to frequent the Senegambia strip or change money. Good variety of nightly ,entertainment which finishes early. The hotel staff are warm & friendly and can’t do enough for you. Hotel food is also of a good standard. Only disappointment is the size of the pool and having to pay for air conditioning on a daily basis, something which is included in other 3 star hotel which I’ve stayed in.
