I have stayed in several hotels over the years in The Gambia but Lemon Creek has to be my overall favourite for standards and affordability. Lovely setting in quiet gardens on a lovely, quiet stretch of beach. Staff very attentive - nothing was too much trouble. Although the quiet rainy season, everything was still available including a full menu. Wifi... More

I've stayed two times in the Lemon Creek resort, came back because the beach is very close, the rooms are functional and clean, and of course it's cheap. The food is good, the pool is nice with enough chairs. Staff is friendly and helpful and speak decent English.

I first stayed in Lemon Creek November 2015. I’ve improved my rating of the hotel this time, not because much has changed - except a wall has now been built between the hotel and a disused swimming pool at one edge of the hotel grounds; fixing a security concern I had last time – but because I’ve realised how much... At the end of our bird watching trip to Gambia we stayed 2 nights in this hotel. The standard of room, food and service was good, the best we had for our 9 days trip. Inside the country after the Gambia river most conditons were simplier. It was very close to the beach and the also the garden were nice.... More

My fiancé and I have just returned from an amazing ten day holiday here. We wanted to find somewhere fairly quiet and out of the main hustle of Senagambia, but still within a short distance when we wanted to go out. Lemon Creek is in a great location in Bijilo, a couple of minutes walk through the beautiful gardens and... More

The hotel is located away from the main tourist area on a quiet sandy beach that you can walk along for miles in either direction; it also means unless you eat in the hotel – which does provided excellent and good value food – you have a 30-40 minute walk along the beach or a 5 minute taxi ride to...
