I went for a walk along the beach to coco ocean and from the moment we walked into the hotel we were given a warm Gambian welcome. We used the resort for its pool and I have to say the pools were amazing, Very clean and warm. The day pass was D250 and if you order food that D250 is... More

Stayed here with colleagues in July 2013. We booked standard rooms, which offer good value for money. Excellent beds! The air-conditioning in my room was not working, and this was quickly sorted out. Our rooms were at the back, and the hotel needs to look into providing better security for access to these rooms at the back. The hotel sometimes... More

I did not stay here overnight, but went several times to relax by the pool. You can buy a pool pass from the reception for D250, and you can use it to order food from the restaurant. The lounging chairs and towels are clean and comfy. The food is great. I was really surprised to see sushi on the menu.... More

I went with my husband and group of friends and we had a fantastic long weekend here. I would definitely go back, but hopefully they will address some of the small issues to improve the overall experience. It was low season, but that doesn't excuse the really long check in process or garbage all over the beach. The spa was... More

It has taken me a while to get around to writing this review. I travelled here in mid March for a week with my partner. Neither of us had been to The Gambia before, but I would say that we would be likely to return. And would more than likely choose to stay here again. We had booked a junior... More

Booked through Voyage Prive for 1 week B&B staying in a Deluxe Suite 7th - 14 May 2013, travelling with my husband. I stayed at the resort for 3 nights for business. The resort has a Moroccan / middle-eastern theme from its architecture to the styling of bedrooms. My 'junior suite' was compact but adequate. The bed and linens were good, but the pillows were rather uncomfortable (down or feather pillows would be much better). The resort has a good Thai restaurant,... More

Another world of African atmosphere. Safety was taken care of. Beautiful surroundings and buildings. Wonderful breakfast and restaurants. Spa was nice. Staff friendly, doing what they can, sometimes a bit slow but hey it's a holiday. Nice things to do. A must see. Child-friendly. It is as perfect in real as on the pictures!!

We don't stay at Coco Ocean, but have eaten there a number of times on our many trips to Kololi. My food has always been mediocre, but my wife raved about the Ocean Discovery seafod selection. This time when we went, even that was mediocre, but at a much increased price this time. We have also eaten Breakfast there which... More

Although there are many hotels along the gambian strip the coco ocean is the best hotel by far. It is expensive but you pay for what you get. It is set in an Arabian style with individual cabins, absolute comfort. Good food in the hotel restaurant. Acres of lush gardens. Excellent staff and so many of them. You don't lift... More
