Visited for lunch today, second visit this season. Went again because very little choice of open beach restaurants this year. The food is moderate. Husband ordered a shrimp plate which he thought would be good for about D460( quite expensive for the venue) & he said it was just moderate. Cannot understand why they have the kitchen positioned in the best place for a sea view! The cooks are very noisy, 1 lady cook shouted very loudly the whole time, which spoils the ambiance. Also why have all those trees been planted you can hardly see the sea, ridiculous. The waitress was lovely & efficient.

This is by far one of the nicests place to stay in The Gambia. It was the first time for me to visit Gambia and the staff & people there made it an unforgettable holiday. The rooms are very spacious (if you book a room with a view on the garden or ocean) - the bathroom is beyond expectation: very clean, big, modern and the water becomes warm very quick. The owner put very good quality in the beds (you sleep like a baby) Sundays are so cosy and busy, during the week you can enjoy a relaxing drink at their bar!

Decided to try the new BBQ steak restaurant tonight . My food was lovely although it wasn’t actually what I ordered . My friends not as much , quite sure it wasn’t fillet steak and the pepper sauce inedible . When the bill arrived , it again was incorrect having been charged differently to prices stated on the menu, all we wanted was the owner to acknowledge the mistakes he refused to acknowledge the mistakes , shrugged and stated it’s a new venture , he refused to correct the bill . We paid as it wasn’t worth the argument and it was more than apparent It was going nowhere . A great pity as we won’t return,4 we had been using the beach bar daily and on every other visit to Gambia since it opened . A very short sighted approach . Perhaps it’s why despite a seemingly lovely restaurant with approx 60 covers there were only 5 of us in this restaurant .

Visited as a non resident, very welcoming, efficient friendly staff, excellent pool available to non residents for just D200, good coffee, tasty snacks, comfortable sun beds, right on the sea front. Best beach bar we have come across in The Gambia
