We stayed two nights and it was a very nice stay. We are a family of with two children and booked a four beds room. We got a wonderful suite with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Both rooms are really big and beautiful with big windows. One room is bigger than the other and is really big with a huge...

We traveled to this area late in the tourist season and we along with our traveling companions had the place to ourselves. The owner Gosien made us at home. The rooms are old as you might expect but very clean and neat. The first level has several nice sitting areas that you can enjoy with a bottle of wine. The...

We spent a glorious week at Chateau de le Chaussee in the family apartment in the Orangery. It is a rare find these days to stay in such relaxed splendor on a budget as these places are usually either hidden behind the high hedges of private estates or trussed up to become stultifying 5 star hotels where one whispers at...

The owner of the chateau refused to serve us breakfast. She was awful to our children as she was afraid they would pee during the night in the beds. They did not of course! She could not stand children laughing or running or just being children... She explained to us she had no mattress protectors which was quite surprising for...

We stayed here one night en route to a gite near amboise. we had to wait a bit at the door as the lady who was waiting for us had fallen asleep. lol. not a problem, I envied her relaxed attitude, so French. The room was nice, plenty of character, the toilet was behind a curtain in the bathroom, very...

We stayed here with friends for 2nights in May and were blessed with beautiful weather. The chateau has been a labour of love for its owners since 2000 and is an ongoing project. It's a perfect place to relax. Our room was large and comfortable and had an en suite bathroom and also a connecting door between the two rooms...

This is without doubt one of the best stays we have had in many a year. The owners were charming and stopped at nothing to make our stay pleasant. The rooms were quirky and large and the breakfasts tasty and taken in the roomy and bright corridor leading to the drawing room. The prices we found really good value and...

Recently renovated in a contemporary style with lots of open lounge space, ideal for entertaining friends informally plus piano there but far from neighbours so great as location to shoot movies there or practice music without fear of being heard by competitors :) Run by a young family, lots of rooms including barn-rooms and huge garden space, plus horse and...
