We had a one night stay at the Château, the room was very comfortable, the bathroom is adequate and in all it was an interesting experience. The breakfast in the morning perfectly adequate and thoroughly enjoyable overall experience. The lady who greeted us and serve breakfast was very pleasant and had good English. We had a swim in the outdoor... More

One of the most recent comments in the guest book in our room, apart from other positive comments, had a line which read "one night is not enough!" In our case, we would amend that to read - 3 nights are not enough! This place really is a gem, as others have said in reviews, a beautiful chateau that has... More

The castle has been in the same family for 600 years so Host Loic will delightfully tell you about the history during the tour. Free if you stay there. Our room as two full size canopy bed with superb bedding. I was particularly thanked for the wonderful down quilt and my canopy bed. The room was decorated with antiques and... More

Reading reviews booked ten months in advance to stay, checked reservation was OK in March, arrived to find there was no room. The steps leading into the entrance were in need of sweeping, the entrance looked like it could also benefit from a brush and duster. That was as far I got, other than being met by a lady holding... We had a lovely time at Chateau Ternay. We arrived after dark to a spooky chateau under a full moon! -Perfect, for my husband who loves to tell ghost stories. The spooky atmosphere was soon shattered, however, by the friendliness of the two large dogs who came to greet us, and by the warm welcome from our hostess. The chateau... More

We had a great time at Chateau de Ternay. We were greeted on arrival by the 2 friendly dogs Gargoyle and I think the other ones name was Zooff. We decided on a walk around the grounds and were pleasantly surprised with the 2 cute dogs walking with us. Upon return from the walk we were greeted with a cup... More

The chateau itself is amazing ! It was so enjoyable to actually sleep and eat there and experience what it would be like to live in such beautiful surroundings. It is steeped in history and has been beautifully restored and maintained. Our 2 bedroomed unit was perfect for a family. Our kids had the time of their life running around... More

The Chateau de Ternay has a remarkable history spanning over 700 years. It is remarkable unaltered. The chapel is a stunning example of 16th century architecture. Best to think about your stay as you have been let in to their world briefly. Beds will not be made or fresh towels brought or errands run. Breakfast is basic. Closest town for... More

This castle is only about 20-30 minutes off the beaten track, but well worth the side trip. We had the two-room, family unit for our daughter and us for two nights - and the room was very nice, comfortable with a very modern bathroom. We had the pre-arranged dinner option for the first evening, and were served a fabulous meal... More

We spent two nights at this historic castle in April and were treated to a wonderful recounting of the history as we were shown some of the special areas, including the chapel.
