Thank you for a lovely stay, there was plenty of room to relax and unwind. Either sitting in the kitchen lounge area with friends or outside on the deck. Fantastic Hosts were extremely accommodating. Would definitely stay again.

We recently stayed in the Pinot Noir cottage whilst it has the potential to be five star we were a little disappointed. The sofa was very old and in need of replacing as it sags forward making it very uncomfortable to sit on. The bed was awful with terrible roll together it needs to be replaced urgently. The overall ambience...

Hi! Thank you for your feedback and it was good to talk to you on the phone. As I mentioned all of the sofas and chairs are being reupholstered next month and great big new cushions are being added. We have a couple more cottages to replace the beds in too but we look forward to having you out to...

Really enjoyed the old time outlook of the cottages. The only thing against another stay at this property is the price($325)per night as it is a long way out of Auckland & they have a captive clientele with their own wedding venue & the one down the road.

I loved my cozy cottage in this area of NZ, tucked beside a wonderful winery and in the countryside between the two coasts! The place was a refuge, complete with the comforts of home, w/ kitchenette, living room (w/ wood burning fire place), dining room, ample bedroom, bathroom, back yard patio, front porch sitting spot, lots of natural light, personal...

Firstly this was a dream find. We were exhausted and got the last cottage available. The Managers were so helpful and friendly. The whole team treated us like we were the only people there. We relaxed, read, walked next door to the vineyard and drank beautiful wine. The Manager does food and beer tours too, so we got the best...

These cottages are gorgeous and private. Very well appointed - self contained and have everything you need right down to a cosy wood burner for the winter months. The continental breakfast in the room was also fantastic - lovely grainy bread, ham, cheese and yoghurt and a Nespresso coffee machine. Was there for business but can't wait to stay with...

Can't rave enough about the people who work here and the facility. Will return! Make use of their suggestions for food, wine and local favorites. We made it our home base for trips north and south! Very quaint and private.

When Orbitz Mia poked our first hotel and after 30 hours of flying we arrived to "no room at the inn" the "Vineyard Cottages" agreed to take us in and as late as it was, pampered us with wine and some food from the personal kitchen. So quiet and beautiful it was that we stayed another 2 Nights!!

My parents and mother-in law stayed here as our daughter was getting married at Kumeu Valley Estate. It is almost next door so there was no need to drive their cars. It meant they could wake up in the morning and comfortably drive back to Auckland. They were very happy here.

Thank you so much for your comments. We are indeed walking distance to two of the best wedding venues in the area, so the perfect spot to come and relax after a lovely day. We thoroughly enjoyed your family being here and would be delighted to see you here again. Best Wishes Elle, GM

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
“The most beautiful vineyard hideaway I have had the pleasure of staying at"As described by the author of The Australian and New Zealand Wine and Food Pictorial Atlas. The seven cottages and function centre are made from macrocapa inside and out. The golden glow created by the timber, and the antiquities placed in each cottage all combine to take guests back in time, whilst still maintaining the comforts of today. An open plan kitchen, living and dining area are separated from the king sized bedroom by double wooden doors, and the rain head shower is a favourite in the bathroom! In summer guests are able to relax on their private patio, complete with bbq facilities, and during the winter most snuggle up in front of the fire with a bottle of their favourite wine. The Function Centre was designed as the homestead of the complex. Wide sweeping verandahs and large rooms with high ceilings generate a spacious relaxed atmosphere. Cooled in the summer by large bi fold windows and doors which bring the outdoors in, and warmed in the winter by fireplaces in each room, it is a popular destination year round. Furnishings of opulent curtains, comfy armchairs and couches welcome you. It is perfect for conferences, product launches, weddings or your personal celebration! ... more   less
