Fredi and his family who run this little hotel in Lavarone are really nice people who don't have to suffer much to make you feel at home. And the waitress who is there to wait for you during almost all the meals is particularly kind and helpful. I am sure other reviewers would have noted by now that the restaurant, besides buffet breakfast and buffet appetizers at main meals also serves abundant dishes which are quite important if you plan to spend the day up at the ski slopes or taking long walks around the woods. We were there with the kids, on a half board plan, but the good thing is that it also included some snacks for lunch. The rooms include only basic furniture; not really spacious but sufficient. The views around the hotel are really nice. Plenty of woods to wander about and the ski slopes just minutes away. Also the nice Chiesa village nearby and the beautiful Lavarone lake. The area is full of smaller frozen lakes as well. It's worth noting that considering that similar amenities in the surrounding area are far from cheap, this hotel keeps very reasonable prices which come along a very good service and amid scenic sceneries just minutes away.

Our school ski trip this year was in the beautiful Lavarone. We stayed in the fantastic Nido Verde hotel and could not fault one thing! Freddy, his young family and his brilliant mother were extremely welcoming, helpful and great fun. It is a small family run hotel and the service really was second to none. We travelled with four teachers and twenty two students. The hotel was perfect for us. The rooms are spacious, cosy and very clean. The room is cleaned with fresh sheets and towels daily. The best thing about this place is the food... and the amount of it!! Breakfast is a continental buffet style, with fruits, yogurts, cereals, breads, cold meats and cheeses. Freddy and the staff were very kind leaving out extra food, allowing the students to make up rolls etc. to take to the slopes. This saved them money every day buying lunch. The evening meal was the highlight of our day! We were served a magnificent five course meal every evening. Selections of salads / breads at the beginning. Then a starter of different Pastas or soup. The main course was something different every night (steak, chicken, pizza, fish etc.) and it was delicious. This was then followed (if we had any room) by a scrumptious dessert and tea/coffee. The fabulous fresh food is all home cooked by Freddy’s mother, Mary, and she is undoubtedly the typical Italian mother. She made sure we all had more than enough to eat and that we were all enjoying ourselves. The waitresses are extremely friendly and go out of their way to help in any way they can. Nido Verde It is a short three minute bus journey to the slopes. Both the teachers and the students had an excellent holiday and feel that we really could not have stayed in a better hotel. We cannot wait to get back there!
