I took a group of students to this resort for a week in November and we had an amazing time. The pool is exellent and the accomodation-especially the superior rooms allowed us to rest and hang out together at the end of long day of activities. Many of our activities were also accomodated by the staff there who were extremely helpful - the conference room is very well equipped. The restaurant provides a variety of meals and we gound both dinner and breakfast was a high standard. I intend to go back for a holiday here with my husband so we can enjoy it without being at work!
We stayed here to climb at Nam Pa Pai Yai so it was the perfect place to stay offsite (about 6 km away, a bumpy 20 minute ride). Really enjoyed the private cottage feel with a little sitting area and separate bedroom. Pool and breakfast were good, the place is a little bit older but we didn’t stay at the hotel long. There’s a mini mart on site too which helped as there were no ATMs or 7/11s for another 15km (in nearby town). Overall, will be back, really enjoyed the cool weather and friendly helpful staff.
This resort is about 30 km from Saraburi in central Thailand, and sits in a rural area of rice padi and forest , leading up to the higher country beyond it. It consists of numerous stand-alone cottages in garden settings. We had located it on the internet, but when we arrived without booking, we were quoted a price 500 Baht above the quoted tariff. Eventually we reached a compromise and received a partial discount rate. The rooms are dated and need refurbishing and updating. We had dinner in the resort restaurant because there was nowhere else to go. We ordered from the Thai side of the menu, but were disappointed as the food was decidedly pedestrian.
Lovely setting in amongst mature trees in a bend of the Pasak River not too far from Muak Lek. Great if, like us, you're there mid-week when it's quiet and you have the pool to yourselves. There are 200+ cabins around the site and they seen to survive on large group bookings from companies and colleges etc. so there's a small stage near the pool, which may mean noise if you're in one of the superior cabins very near there. The breakfast is standard Thai upcountry hotel fare so bland but filling. The evening a la carte Thai menu is fine Suggest you check about large group bookings before you go and if there is one, ask for a quiet room
This resort is a really good place to relax and to bike. There are lots of little bungalows all across the grounds. They each have their own little lawn, and parking spots. There are lots of trees, so the environment is very natural. But when we got ready for bed, all this loud music came on, and it was impossible to sleep. It turned out that Supalai Pasak Resort and spa hosts a lot of retreats for large Thai companies. They party at night when other people not belonging to the company are trying to sleep. I found the open space good to relax and the little lounge room good to kick back and read, but a lot of the activities available in the resort weren't in order. Like I saw on the map that there was an Archery area, and when I got there, It wasn't recognizable as a place to shoot arrows. It was overgrown with plants and there were no targets in sight. The rooms are very comfortable and cozy, because there are clean floors and the beds are very cushy. If you have any children, you can also request them to add an extra bed for 500 baht. Usually the grounds are deserted, because not many people come to this resort. There is a so called 'zipline' which is actually a seat suspended over a pond, with pulleys on either side of the pond to maneuver the seat across. There is a soap business thing, and the resort sells their own homemade soap. It smells really good. There is also a deer enclosure, but you can't go inside. What you can do is poke bits of grass through the bars. There is a large stack of grass right next to the deer enclosure so you don't need to go poking around on the ground. if you want to feed the deer, I suggest you bring gloves as the grass can sometimes give you cuts. (that suggestion is made because of personal experience.) This resort is pretty nice and I recommend it to other travelers.…
