The Golden Coast Beach hotel was chosen by our daughter for her wedding. The choice was mostly based on the great reviews given by previous brides regarding the hotel wedding planner Felicity.
As the wedding/holiday got closer, our daughter turned into the iconic bridezilla firing off texts and emails to Felicity constantly. Felicity patiently and efficiently answered every question and concern in a friendly honest way. In fact Felicity was mentioned on a daily basis for several months in our house so it felt as though we not only welcomed a son in law but also a wedding planner named Felicity to our family!! Thank you Felicity for all your hard work in making our daughter’s wedding day so perfect. You truly are an asset to the hotel.
The hotel was beautiful. Spotlessly clean. The staff were all really friendly.
When you are looking for a new house, remember how you felt when you found the perfect one for you and your family in space, flow, gardens and location ? Well that was how we felt as we settled into this hotel. The grounds/pool area was beautiful. The pavilion area restful and tranquil. Our “smart” room had a beautiful view across the extensive established gardens and pool ( plenty of sun beds) down to the golden sandy bay in front of the hotel.
Food was varied and delicious and we loved the partially covered restaurant with its inside/ outside options. Our favourite area was on the lower deck close enough to the waterfall to hear the sound of it in the background as we dined.
The boardwalk ( which goes for miles)in front of the hotel was a bonus for me as an early morning walker. The sunrises as you walk along are spectacular .
I have travelled extensively but have never returned to the same hotel. I might just change that as we are seriously considering returning to this one. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful stay.

We stayed at GCH 10-17th September…
We arrived late evening and check in was a breeze and welcomed to our room with sandwiches and local sweets!

The staff are amazing and friendly and the restaurant manager Stelios is an absolute credit to the hotel… nothing was ever too much trouble and he made us feel welcome at every meal…
The entertainment team also very friendly and my little girl 16months took a shine to detti as she always spoke to her when we see her!

Food, drink was good… mamma leone although not part of AI, was so good and value for money with fab service we chose to have dinner there twice in our week stay…

Great beach front location and great to have pool and sea so close to choose where to swim….

Thank you for making our first family holiday amazing and we have lots of memories to cherish…. We will be returning to this amazing very friendly hotel asap

My husband and I stayed at Golden Coast Beach Hotel from 10th May for a week. We had a fabulous stay and would definitely return. The hotel is located in a lovely, quiet spot and is ideally situated right on a clean and very pretty beach.
We stayed bed and breakfast, we enjoyed the food we had each morning. The waiters were very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The freshly cooked omelettes were delicious and there was a vast array of fresh food, we loved the choice of fresh fruit, traditional cypriot foods and Greek yogurt. We tend to avoid the 'English breakfast' options and so cannot comment on this, but there was also this option available.
Our first room was not as expected by the tour operator photos and we were disappointed to find the bed was two singles pushed together and the room itself looked quite dated, with a lot of wear and tear particularly in the bathroom. We spoke to reception, who were very helpful and we were given a choice of a new room. Our new room was lovely, clean with bright furnishings and a large comfortable double bed. It was very quiet at night and we we slept well during our stay. The coffee machine and kettle were a good addition.
We loved the environmentally friendly ethos at the hotel and made good use of the water refill stations situated in the bar areas.
The grounds are very pretty, well maintained and very clean.
The entertainment around the pool was great, we joined in with French Boules, Water Polo and cocktail games. The entertainment team worked hard to show everyone a good time. We would have perhaps liked some quieter, more laid back music in the afternoons, but that is just our preference and when we wanted some quiet time we headed down to the beach.
We were able to use the spa showers before our departure to freshen up and this was great, once again the staff were extremely friendly.
We ate at some lovely restaurants nearby that were just a short walk down the new coastal promenade, this doesn't show up on Google route yet but takes a huge amount off the journey compared to walking the main road. Kalamies, Pinia, to Limani, Sizzlers and Doma were our favourite restaurants to eat at, with amazing service and great food.
All of the staff at Golden Coast Hotel were extremely friendly and took their time to ensure guests are well catered for, the hotel has a nice atmosphere and we would definitely return some time in the future.

The hotel looks lovely in the photos , but on arrival there were areas that didn’t look good , we arrived mid after noon we’d left home at 3am the day before as it was a early flight . After having a early morning snack at the airport we were pretty hungry the only thing available was a toasted sandwich with chips from the pool bar which we had to wait a good while for . It came cold also the chips looked like they been hanging around . Asked for a wine at pool bar that was warm as she said the fridge where it was wasn’t working ! The wine was like vinagar so we didn’t eat or drink anything . There was lots of loud music and young men shouting and singing loudly by the pool . It didn’t give us it great impression of what our holiday was going to be .
We went to our room that was a sea view very nice view . The toilet seat was too small for the toilet it was hopeless ! The shower hugged the wall so didn’t get much water on you when you showered . And the sink didn’t hold the water ! Rusty plug in bath .
Other than that the room was clean .
We didn’t like the food the choices seemed to be things mixed up . All looked the same vegetables in a sauce with meat put in . The salad things were all boring and dried looking . The meat was craved off and guess he was told not to give you more than 2 slices but if the slices were tiny surely he should have gave more , the gravy was cold . Just bread rolls no nice bread to crave or French stick type bread .
The only meal we enjoyed was breakfast as the lady cooked a nice omelette. And even than that’s all we had . We caught the bus into protaras and ate there some evenings , other times we just has few chips and pizza ! O and soup some nights this was ok . We used the beach every day were we had to pay for sun beds as we couldent stand the loud music by the pool . We had stayed twice before at the hotel along the beach . We wanted a change and the reviews for this one were so good !
But big regrets , we loved the food in the other one ! The staff were so lovely , it was a shame I think it wasn’t busy and the food is the only thing I guess they could save money on .

Dear Alison Thank you very much for choosing our hotel for your recent stay and for sending us your feedback! We value with great respect all of our guests feedback and reviews since is our best tool on order to spot where we need to improve and to become better every day! We are sorry to see that we did not manage to meet your expectations to the maximum and that you was somehow disappointed with our services on offer! We were a bit surprised to see that you had so many problems with your room and you did not complain to any of our staff not even once during your stay here in order to fix them for you and make your stay more comfortable or even to change the room for you! We do have a manager on duty every day and we assure you that having letting us know about this we would have rectified the problem immediately! Nevertheless we will notify our maintenance department to check all of our rooms in order to spot the room you was in and fix the problems you are mentioning, which sound a bit weird since we check daily all of the rooms before our guests arrival in order to make sure that everything works right and is in perfect condition! Regarding your comments about the food we were a little bit surprised to receive since the vast majority of our guests gives us wonderful reviews and very high scores about our food not only on our inhouse questionnaires but also on all the social media review sites. We have a 14 day rotation menu on our buffet menu and every night for dinner we have a different theme night in order not to be repetitive. We understand though that food is always a matter of personal opinion for everybody and we are sorry that we did not manage to reach your expectations on this aspect , but we promise to you that we are doing the best we can in order to please all of our guests! Also at our pool bar we do have an a la carte snack menu with many choices on it so we do not really understand what happened in your case and you got just a toasted sandwich with chips! We are also very sorry that you maybe did not realize that all the sun beds and umbrellas on the levels of grass areas on the beach ( around 150 sunbeds and 70 umbrellas) belong to the hotel and their use is strictly only by our hotel residents and is of course free of charge!! Very bad for you , having not realized this and having to pay the municipality every day for sunbeds! We hope that we will have the chance to welcoming you back to our hotel in the future and manage to change your mind about our hotel!

We went as a group of 10. Adults and kids from 8 months - 5 years old.

Our rooms where the renovated ones. They were ok, basic and clean.

The pool area really lets it down, so old and like a cheap Benidorm hotel. Plastic chairs, very old surroundings.

The food is good, really plentiful and very good quality. But there is no waiter service to bring drinks, YOU have to get YOUR own drinks!! When I have paid over £800 for one week I do not want to have to get my own tea at breakfast. This is so poor as resonates a 2 star service.

Get more waiter staff!!

The kids club is poor, in a dark room!

The beach is stunning and the view from the restaurants is good.

The hotel had a lot of Russian and German clients and the entertainment is geared towards them.

The drinks are ok but not great.

I think the hotel really needs to make some changes, the money charged does not reflect the hotel.

The staff however are amazing it’s the hotel which lets them down.

The experience was nice for me and my partner! On arrival our standard room in the "new building" has put me off booking a standard room ever again and the view was absolutely awful (there were no upgrades available until we offered to pay the difference)! The on-site Italian resteraunt inst included in the all inclusive as advertised so expect an unexpected bill. The evening entertainment for also pretty lame but that could just be in comparison to other holidays. The food wasn't anything special and the whole pool area needs a major re-vamp. All that said, the staff throughout the hotel are amazing and always happy to assist, the communal areas are well presented and it is in a great location.

Dear Ashley Thank you very much for choosing our hotel for your recent stay and for sending us your feedback! We are happy to see that your experience for you and your husband staying with us was nice. We do apologize for not liking the view of the room you have booked in the new building but unfortunately we cannot do anything to change the view. There are many other room types though with an excellent view of the Mediterranean sea that you can book and enjoy! We do offer free upgrades to our guests in many occasions but this is also depending on the month of your booking, because being August now which is the busiest month of the year, we have a very high occupancy and if there are any upgrades available , of course they cannot be given for free. Also we are a little bit surprised to see in your review that you are mentioning that our Italian restaurant 'Mamma Leone' is included in the all inclusive! We do not advertise anywhere this information! On the contrary we are mentioning very specifically in our website that our Italian restaurant and some other outlets i.e. our Antamoma beach bar, are not included in the Standard All Inclusive package and they are extra unless someone books the Ultra All Inclusive package which then are included! If you had missed this information you could have asked us whilst staying here and we would have explained everything to you! On the other hand, we thank you very much for your nice words about our staff being nice and helpful as well as for our location. We hope that we will have the chance to welcoming you back to our hotel in the near future and try to make your experience staying with us a more pleasant than last time.

This was my 1st visit to this hotel. We stayed 1st week of May. The Hotel was very quiet with not many guests so the “fringe” Bars and Restaurants were not open. However this was to be expected being out of season.
The Hotel was spotlessly clean and is in a quiet but beautiful location. You can walk for miles along the seafront along a newly constructed path that winds its way along the coast passing various other Hotels, Bars and Beaches. This was well needed to walk off our superb Hotel Breakfast.
We only booked a Bed & Breakfast but we used the Buffet Restaurant every evening and found that the food was good with a huge choice with a change of theme every evening. We found all the Hotel Staff very pleasant and attentive with a “special” mention to the Restaurant Head Waiter.
We booked a Sea View Room and it was superb. Very clean and well equipped for everything you would need including many electrical Sockets with USB outlets.
Pool is beautiful and clean and has direct access to a nice sandy Beach with plenty of Sunbeds around the Pool and on Grass Terracing.
My only slight criticisms are –
1. The Hotel tends to cater for All Inclusive Packages. That’s fine. However being independent and only being on a Bed & Breakfast basis I found it a bit annoying having to pay cash for Drinks brought during the day from the Pool Bar. I would recommend that the Hotel look to guests like myself being able to put day Bar Bills onto your Room number. You can do this in the evening from the Restaurant and evening Bar. Why not during the day?
2. Not necessarily the Hotels fault. However we found it a bit off putting that many Guests did not make any effort with their evening Dress for the evening Meal in the Restaurant. The Hotel requests “smart casual”. However some of the Guests looked like they came into the Restaurant straight from the Beach.
Overall this is a very good Hotel in a quiet & beautiful location and we will be recommending to our friends. We will defiantly be returning for another stay.

I have given 4 stars because of the great location, staff, food. Reception staff very helpful The entertainment feam knocked themselves out! Hi Bernadette!! Unfortunately there was no quiet area for an after dinner drink e g. Piano lounge closed. The entertainment was very loud and too many children running around. Breakfast and lunch excellent but the numbers at the evening meal seemed a bit shambolic, lack of seating, people and children standing by your table waiting to be seated. Italian restaurant excellent but not in the all inclusive which we were aware of. We paid extra for a sea view which was great but the room itself was very basic and certainly needs updating. Would recommend it to families but unless there is a adults only area it's not for us.

Dear Dee Thank you very much for choosing our hotel for your vacation in August and for sending us your feedback. We are very happy to see that you thoroughly enjoyed our location, our food, and that you found our staff to be helpful. Also we thank you very much for your nice words about our entertainment team and we are very happy that you enjoyed the activities they offer. Being here with us in August, it is actually a bit difficult for someone who looks for piece and quiet , due to the fact that August is the busiest month of the year with the hotel being fully booked, and with many families with children. If you are looking for a more quiet , vacation, we recommend you try stay with us second mid of September or during October, then it will really be ideal for you since the weather is still perfect, nice and warm, and the whole environment is very peaceful and quiet. Once more, thank you very much and we wish you all the best for the future!

We have just returned a few days ago from a wonderful holiday as a family of 4 with a 6 year old and a 4 year old. The Golden Coast Hotel is in such a beautiful location with the pool overlooking the lovely tiered gardens and then the beautiful bay below. The beach has fine sand and clear waters and is perfect for children as it doesn't steeply slope and is very sheltered.

The food at the hotel was lovely, we were all inclusive and were pleased about how much local food there was at each mealtime, as well as the crowd pleasers of course. We had some truly delicious dishes and some amazing salads too. The drinks were great and we were surprised at how good the cocktails were considering its all inclusive. Our favourites were the Singapore sling and the brandy sour - not too sweet.

All the staff we met at the Golden Coast were friendly and helpful. The reception ladies were lovely and let us check out 2 hours later at 2pm for no extra cost, a big help. Stelios in the restaurant was so friendly and welcoming as were all the restaurant staff.

Special mention to Julia from the entertainment team, we weren't going to put the kids into kids club but once they met Julia they wanted to go there for the last 2 afternoons which meant we could relax for an hour or so while they had fun and stayed out of the sun for a bit. She was so good with them and they really liked her! All the entertainment were great and we joined in with French bowles on the beach and also cocktail games which were good fun. The evening entertainment was also great.

We had such a good holiday and it was lovely to spend quality time together relaxing and having fun. I really only have 2 negatives. Firstly, and this is a small one, they have a lot of weddings at this hotel, it's obviously a big part of their business and generally it's really lovely to see them and they look beautiful, however, 2 of the nights we were there the wedding party music was really loud, modern party music during dinner time which isn't really what you want to eat along to. The second was that the hotel was lovely and quiet until our last day there which was a Cypriot bank holiday and the hotel became too full. I wonder if this is what it is like in the summer holidays. It was great seeing the locals enjoying themselves, however, there were people everywhere, not enough sunbeds, queues at the bar. Restaurant staff who were previously attentive looked stressed and were struggling to cope. We went to breakfast and there were no tables so we went for a swim, came back later and there were still none, eventually we found one but it was out in the sunshine. By this point they were starting to pack breakfast away which isn't ideal really. It seemed like the hotel had booked in more guests than it could actually cope with which is a shame. If it wasn't for this then I would have given 5 stars.

Responded Jun 19, 2022
Dear Rosie Thank you very much for choosing the Golden Coast Beach Hotel and Spa to spend your holiday abroad with your family and for your time taken to write and send us your feedback through tripadvisor. We are very happy to see from your feedback that you really had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay with us. We are thrilled to see that you thoroughly enjoyed our service and our food and drinks on offer as well as the activities and program of our entertainment team. We noted your two negative points and we assure you that we will take all the necessary actions in order not to give to our guests this messy impression when the hotel gets really too full and busy like the last day of your stay. Once more, thank you very much, and we wish you and your family all the best , and we are looking forward to welcoming you back to our hotel again in the future!
