Take me back!! Perfect wedding location and holiday. We had 10nights here at the end of October 22 for our wedding and holiday. Everything about our stay was incredible! The weather was beautiful still 26/27 degrees this time of year. The hotel is one of the best we have ever stayed in, with a lovely quiet beach on your doorstep. All the staff are so welcoming and friendly. Felicity the wedding planner is amazing at her job, she was the reason I was so calm on the big day. She was on the ball! She took care of everything and nothing was too much trouble. Cake, flowers, reception were exactly how we wanted, it was all perfect! We had the Cyprus mezze option for our wedding dinner and there was soooo much food!! It was all so delicious too. I would definitely recommend Neo the sax player and the DJ they were both amazing! Also Leo the photographer, all our pictures are stunning. It all went so smooth we could not of asked for anything better. I wish we could do it all again. Huge huge thanks again to everyone at the hotel and Felicity. We will definitely be coming back to visit. 🤍…

Hotel's Favorite
The Golden Coast Beach Hotel was our chosen venue for our wedding ceremony and reception which took place on the 9th June 2022. This was in our opinion, the most well organised, beautiful and boutique wedding that we could of asked for. The wedding coordinator Felicity is second to none. Catering for our every request and need. We chose the sea view decking for our modest guestlist (around 30 guests), and we couldn't be more pleased with the location, view, arrangements, food buffet, cake, and entertainment. Felicity made sure everything went smoothly according to the plan, working in a perfect harmony with other hotel staff. She was kind, understanding of all of our requests to keep the wedding low key. We met her multiple times before the wedding and chatted regularly via email and WhatsApp and she always answered and understood our requests. The wedding was originally planned for 2021 with the previous wedding coordinator Meg, who was also excellent, however it was postponed due to covid travel restrictions. But we finally made it to our special day and had such an amazing time under the sea view deck, with the beautiful lights and table decorations and friendly waitor and bar staff. Id also like to mention Theo and Leo the photographer and videographer were extremely professional and part of the package we paid for, they too went above and beyond and were very friendly and produced some of the most glorious photos and videos which we will forever treasure. Thank you to Felicity and all the staff for such an amazing wedding, our friends and family had the most amazing time and many have said it's the best wedding they have ever been to. With praise like that, how can one ever think to complain. All in all, 10 out of 10. Many Thanks …

Quality manager was very helpful and polite. Great location. The hotel is stunning, the grounds and the sun loungers facing the sea were amazing.We had a BBQ buffet for our evening meal - it was incredible, lots of variety and all dietary requirements were met.

We went here in September 22 and it was the hotel from hell and we paid over £2500 for a week in a 4 star hotel and it certainly wasn’t that. It was a 2 star at the most. On arrival we were taken to our room, it was in the old part of the hotel and it was awful, mould in the fridge, dirty sheets and the surfaces were filthy, very outdated. We moved rooms into the main hotel, this was slightly better but still very outdated and dirty. Only one restaurant open, food was awful and very limited, all sloppy and beige. Restaurant staff were not helpful and we had nearly finished our dinner before they even asked for drinks, the food was so awful we ate out most nights. People going down with sickness whilst we were there and we were very poorly on arrival home with covid and so were a lot of other people. Pool was ok but very consumed by drunken wedding parties. The whole place was very dirty, building work going on that we weren’t told about, avoid this hotel at all costs, bloody revolting and Tui the provider were awful too. Dear Lcr819, We appreciate you taking time to write us a review of your holiday here in September 2022 unfortunately we are unable to comment on what you paid for your all-inclusive package holiday as this was paid direct to a tour operator so also includes all the added extras like your flights, transfers etc. Our star rating as per all hotels the world over is awarded because of the facilities that hotels can offer so we can confidently say that we are a 4 star hotel and not a 2 star all though we are sorry to hear that you felt this. I am unaware of where the old part of the hotel is, I can only assume you mean the annex part of the hotel complex that was actually built after the main building so is in fact the newer part of our hotel but glad we managed to move you to the main block as you wished. It is a shame though that the points you have highlighted were not brought to our attention whilst you are here, alongside myself I have a management team on duty that would have loved to of heard of your complaints and managed to rectify these for you whilst you were here. We have a rolling menu here in the hotel with different theme nights with a wide variety of cooked dishes including a variety of meats, pasta, fish, vegetables, salads, kid’s corner and live cooking so it is disappointing that you felt all food was sloppy and beige, again perhaps you could of spoke with our chefs who are in the restaurant at meal times and they could of prepared you a colourful dish that you required. We have our main restaurant that is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We then also have our Mediterranean restaurant that is open for lunch and our Italian restaurant Mamma Leones that is open in the evening. We also have our snack bar open at numerous times throughout the day around the main restaurant opening times and these were all fully operational in September. This information along with opening times is given to you on arrival with our hotel information sheet and is also on our webpage so I am unsure of why you only understood one restaurant was open. You could have also asked our 24b hour reception and they could of informed you. We don’t have any records of any sickness throughout the month of September whilst you were here or any other month that we are open for the season. We also don’t have records of people going down with covid and it is unfortunate that you had covid on your return back home. We do have lots of weddings here at the hotel and they are just as much a part of the guests here than someone who is not here for a wedding, as all our guests are here to have fun which they deserve we still would not tolerate drunken parties (wedding or not) by the pool especially as this is a family hotel. All tour operators have been informed of the building work which is not at the hotel but outside and it is unfortunate this wasn’t feedback to you. I have taken all your points on board and again just wish these could have been highlighted when you were here so we could have looked into your above issues.

We had a 2 week holiday and our wedding day at the Golden Coast Hotel and it was perfect. The hotel is stunning, the grounds and the sun loungers facing the sea were our particular favourites! The rooms were clean and spacious. We were in the main hotel and had good view from our balcony. Some of our family were in the annex, these rooms were also clean and were similarly set up to those in the main hotel. The annex was a very short walk, literally down a path! We got married at the Agios Nikolaos Chapel, having visited Cyprus and this Chapel as a young teen during family holidays and always dreaming of getting married abroad. The ceremony was so special, and Father Martin was full of character. All our guests commented on how brill he was. We had our drinks reception near a water fountain and it was the perfect backdrop for our group photos. Our evening reception was at the sea deck, another picturesque venue - photos really don’t do it justice! We picked the platinum package and it was 100% worth it. Our cake and flowers were stunning and exactly like the photos we had sent. We had a BBQ buffet for our evening meal - it was incredible, lots of variety and all dietary requirements were met. Special thank you to Leo and Theo (photographer and videographer) who looked after us on the day and made us feel at complete ease. We cherish our photos and treasure our video. Obviously what would we do without Felicity, we can’t thank you enough for everything, you really did help us make our day everything we’d hope for. Our annex building is as you say is a few meters away from the main building but is still part of the hotel with the same room set up. How lovely to hear that Agios Nikolas chapel was your dream to get married in from a child and this came true. Our fountain area is an idyllic spot to host your post wedding drinks away from the main hotel before making your way to our Seaview Deck with the perfect views over the bay (we agree photos really don’t do it justice) Our Platinum package does include everything you need to have your dream wedding. Felicity loves to take your ideas and vision and make these happen like your cake and flowers. Our BBQ buffet does have something for everyone, and we will always cater for any dietary requirements. Where do I start…….. We had a 10 night stay in this hotel with 37 other people for our wedding. It was amazing from start to finish, staff are very friendly and very welcoming ! Rooms are clean and tidy, and this is done daily throughout your stay Food is good and something for everyone, our daughter was poorly during our stay and the kitchen/chef made tailored food that we knew she would eat without any hesitation, which was great. Snack bar was great for all, tasty food and drinks were great, no issues. Our little girl needed to be seen by a Dr and was taken to hospital 2 days in, again staff were amazing and checked in everyday to see how she was, stored her medication and I was giving a designated member of staff to support with this during our stay and to request food etc. Little things like she could not go in the pool but they were happy to help fill a paddling pool so she could still enjoy herself and play, outstanding service and I could not thank them enough having this reassurance and support was great. Yes there was building work going on at the pier however this could not be hear just seen in the distance, we did worry about this on the first day especially for our wedding but it doesn’t bother you and actually if you have kids they loved to watch it. Our wedding planner felicity was amazing nothing was too much to ask for and she went above and beyond her duties, our day was perfect from start to finish, calm and more than I ever could have wished for,I would recommend this venue for getting married. It is so nice to hear that you all had an amazing time here and it really was our pleasure. We pride ourselves on our friendly staff and it is great to hear you found them so welcoming. Our chef along with his team are always more than happy to accommodate for any food preferences/allergies etc. so it is good to know that when your daughter was poorly the team tailor made food for her. The snack bar is a hit with our guests as we offer a range of snacks at various times of the day to grab whilst at the pool. We understand it can be quite hard when you are on holiday to have anyone take ill in your group especially your child so we will always do what we can to ensure we are on hand to help where we can, and we appreciate your words for how we helped your little girl, and we were glad to see her getting better and having fun. As you state the building work, which is out of our hands, is not immediately in or around the hotel and has minimum impact on your holiday enjoyment by the pool/restaurant facilities. We had our wedding at Golden Coast Hotel and everything was absolutely amazing from start to finish! Felicity was fantastic at organising everything and made sure everyone was happy and everything was perfect! Our dinner was a huge hit with all of our guests five stars for the food! We then had our honeymoon week staying in the Golden Coast hotel. The rooms are great and the staff are great! We go to Cyprus every year and will be returning to the Golden Coast highly recommend! 🤩

Where do i start, this hotel is simply the pits. We were so looking forward to our holidays in September in Cyprus an Island we had visited twice before. OMG this could not of been worse. Building site next door with a stream of lorries going backwards and forwards outside our room every day from 7am onwards. This was never mentioned to us by Tui. The food was awful, i went to get some salad only to see insects crawling over the lettuce. The rooms were dirty and one day they did not bother to clean ours. The whole hotel is run down and dirty, we even watch a maintenance man painting over the dirty round the pool. The all inclusive is a laugh, it said in the brochure local beer was included - this was carlsberg if that's local my geography is rubbish. All the cocktails tasted the same and we very weak. We ended up paying to eat out every night. We were offer All inclusive plus so that we could use the one and only other restaurant, which was ok until the second night when my husbands meal was served cold and even when they tried to replace it 3 times is was still cold. So we gave up and once again paid to eat elsewhere. Avoid this hotel you can do so much better for the money.…

Dear Stuart Thank you for choosing the Golden Coast Beach Hotel for your stay in September. We are very sorry to see that your experience with us did not meet your expectations and you was disappointed! We are also very sorry to see that TUI , the tour operator that you booked the hotel with, did not inform you about almost anything! They did not inform you that there was a construction of Protaras Marina going on at a distance of about 600 meters from the hotel, they did not inform you that we have two all inclusive packages, the standard one which is the one you booked and also the premium one that includes a lot more! You should have been informed about al l these by them at the time of the booking! We are also very surprised to read all your comments regarding finding insects over the lettuce and the cleanliness of our hotel! We are very surprised because this is not the norm at our hotel and also you never mentioned anything to any member of our staff or management regarding these issues whilst you was staying here! Regarding he Carlsberg beer, please be informed, that yes Carlsberg is indeed produced in Cyprus and you can check this anywhere you wish! Just in case you did not like Carlsberg, we also had Leon Beer available for the standard All Inclusive package.

Hotel is in a good location, about a 25 minute walk along the coastal path to Protaras. Rooms were ok. Clean but in need of a refresh. Good addons, with tea and coffee making provisions. Balcony is a little small, room for two chairs. Beds were comfortable with a choice of pillows. Shower is in the bath, so be careful as there is no anti slip mat. Wi-Fi in hotel was first class, just need to re-log in every few days. Only one buffet style restaurant open when 4 are listed! Food was ok but nothing special, most was served luke warm. Choices were quite good but quality varied greatly. Restaurant staff need a little better organising and management. Very slow clearing and cleaning tables, none seemed to have designated areas to manage. So meal times were frustrating trying to find a table. One bar open during the day (By the pool) and one in the evening, but 3 are listed! Bar service was good. The all inclusive drinks were confusing. Two local beers Leon and Keo on tap but you can only have Leon. I asked why and was told that you have to pay for Keo (6 euro!!). Now considering that every bar outside of the hotel charge the same for both (between 2 and 4 euros)? Also beware of ordering cocktails. One evening, the wife fancied a Mojito. went to the bar ordered the drinks came back to the table promptly followed by one of the bar staff. He said that we had to pay 9 euros for the Mojito, yes you read it correctly 9 euros!!! (that's nearly as expensive as a top London hotel). Our fault for not reading the "All inclusive cocktail menu". Why did the bar staff not mention that the cocktail was chargeable, when asked for it at the bar. There are other bars/restaurants listed that overlook the beach but these were all shutdown and deserted. Many bars and dinning areas listed as available until the end of October were not open, why. Pool was a good size, albeit a bit cold (The sea was warmer). Don't know where the Whirlpool baths that are listed were. Plenty of sunbeds. The grass area leading to the beach was nice and again plenty of sunbeds. The indoor pool was not available unless you used and paid for the overpriced spa. Again this is listed as available free to all guests for certain dates in the year, which included when we were there. General cleanliness was lacking in areas around the pool i.e tables by sunbeds dirty and sticky, toilets were disgusting. Urinals overflowing and stank, Female toilets not much better, I won't repeat how the wife described them. Overall a disappointing hotel, with many parts not available or closed down, which is a shame as it could be so much better with a little effort and less penny pinching. …

Lots of Negatives & a few Positives - food was nice for the first week when the hotel was quieter. Beautiful Bay (if only there was no building works) We we’re upgraded to a nice superior room away from all the noise, the bed was super comfy and we slept so well. Nice reception area. Some lovely members of staff, Stelios was a lovely man always happy and polite and a lovely blonde lady on reception ( sorry I never got her name). Drinks ok good measures. Our family wedding went well considering how horrified we were when we first arrived and witnessed all the building work very nearby. Felicity the wedding planner did everything she possibly could to make it run as smooth as possible, just a few minor things we picked up on, but we all enjoyed the day as nothing could be done about all the building works, we just had to make the best of it and that’s what we did. I’m Still annoyed at not been informed by the tour operator in advance though, this development must have been known about at the time of booking. Why none of our party of 30+guests from 2 different tour operators where never informed about all this is beyond belief. This wasn’t a cheap holiday. The noise the first week we were there was at its worst i believe. It was horrendous at times. Social media posts are all old pictures even whilst we were there they are showing such an idyllic setting (no cranes in them pictures) false advertising I’d say. No beach bars open, we were told they always close at the beginning of October due to change in weather and the hotel being quieter yet it was half term the second week we were there and really busy. Also the weather was fine apart from one day. The Inside bar was also closed. Apparently it’s classed as *low season and we should have expected this. The Mediterranean & Italian restaurants are both to pay for if you want to eat in them, having said that I believe the food was lovely. ( other all inclusive hotels you normally can have at least 1 meal in each included in the normal all inclusive package). So in theory you can only eat in the normal restaurant if you don’t want to pay anymore money. Evening entertainment terrible for adults. Luckily there was enough of us to make our own fun. The entertainment stage being out in the open also, so why close the other bars and say it’s because of a change in weather. All a money saving thing I’d say. The hotel is pretty shabby in places in my opinion not a 4 star. Plaster and a plug socket hanging off the wall in the food area was not great. Corridors very dated and definitely need updating. Cats! What can I say if you love them you’ll love it here it’s over run with them at meal times. I don’t like them and sat inside most nights to get away from them. On the odd occasion we sat outside we had one pooing at the side of us and then climbing on the table. Not something I want whilst I’m eating. Overall would I come back, I don’t think so. I expect when it’s been updated on all areas, the marina is finished and it’s not * low season * it may be nice. But it’s not at all like it portrays in the brochures and social media posts. It’s probably closed for the season now so my review is irrelevant, next April things may be different. Just do your homework before booking is my advice.…

Even though, we are sorry to see through your feedback that we did not manage to succeed in making you reach your expectations, we are happy to see that there are many aspects that you was satisfied with as well! We are happy to see that your family wedding went well and that you all enjoyed the day and you were all satisfied with the service and effort of our wedding planner Felicity. We are also very happy to see that you found our bay to be lovely, our beds to be very comfortable, our reception area nice, and our drinks of a good measure and enjoyable! We totally agree with you that you should have been informed by your tour operator about the construction of the Protaras marina which is taking place nearby the hotel since, from our part we informed all of the since the beginning of the season about this, so that the will also inform their guests. We are also sorry to see that you were not informed by your tour operator that we do have and sell two different packages of All Inclusive, the standard package which is the one that you had chosen, and the All Inclusive Plus package (Premium) which is the one that includes also all the restaurants that you are mentioning i.e. the Mediterranean and the Italian. We also apologize about the inconvenience caused to you regarding the cats! Being a summer resort hotel with most of our outlets being outdoor, is a bit difficult to control the cats entering the hotel premises. Cyprus is full with stray cats and they are literally everywhere all over the island ! What we can do though, and we assure you that we are doing it, is that we make sure that all the cats that are moving around our hotel premises are vaccined and sterilized. Also we do have a feeding station for them which is away form all the guests areas, but there are so many guests that are feeding them and petting them that makes it impossible for us to keep them away all the time. We wish you all the best and we hope that one day you will change your mind and come back to our hotel and give us the chance to prove you our real hospitality and service that we offer to all of our guests !
