Nestled by the sea, Salamis Bay Conti Resort Hotel & Casino is lauded for its stunning location and clean, well-maintained premises. Guests are charmed by the vibrant atmosphere, complete with live music and a mix of visitors, though the constant Turkish tunes may not be for everyone. The hotel boasts a wealth of amenities, including pools and diverse dining, which many find enhance their stay. Opinions on service and room comfort vary, with reports of both friendly staff and unresponsive service, as well as noise issues in some rooms. While views on value are mixed, several guests consider the hotel cost-effective.

As an older couple we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel, as the kids pool and water slides were well away from the main pool which was geared more towards adults. The entertainment team were brilliant again keeping young and old entertained day and night.. We were all Inclusive with food available in the buffet restaurant from early morning to the wee small hours. There was a specialty meal cooked fresh by a chef each evening plus barbecued food outside as well as the usual buffet type foods with freshly cut fruit which was delicious, At lunch time there was poolside and a terrace self service area if you did not want to go into the restaurant and an afternoon tea cafe serving fresh sandwiches and buns; there is something wrong if you could not find food to suit at all times. Drinks the usual local brands, but staff where nice and aimed to please. Rooms where nice, bed was comfortable, but we had an adjoining room and as the hotel has a Casino many Arabs and Turkish families stay for a few days at a time for the men to enjoy gamboling whilst the women and children stay in their rooms, so the light shone under the door and talking went on on until 4/5 am, also although the rooms where smoke free we had several evening where cigarette smoke came in under the adjoining room door. The hotel was right on the beach that stretched for miles just a pity is was badly littered with shredded plastic waste. The Hotel has a shuttle bus, for a small fee, that runs into Famagusta twice daily to the old town and the shopping mail, neither of which you could easily walk too, if you want to go to different places I suggest hiring a car for 3/4 days better that expensive tours that are pretty lame.Be very careful of the free Nicosia tour you will be taken to a jewellery outlet where the prices are at least 100% marked up and you will be easily conned into buying something that isn't anywhere near the valuation that you will be given. During the tour of the City you will be asked if you wish to have lunch in a court yard do not avail of it as the food it yuk even the cats turned their noses up at the titbits offered from our plates! Would we return to the Salamis Bay Conti for a relaxing holiday, YES

We stayed here for three nights as part of a package holiday with RSD Travel. The hotel is in quite a remote area but seems to have everything you need on site or nearby. The rooms are very nice, well equipped and comfy, with an excellent walk in shower in the shower room. The beds and pillows are comfy and there is an armchair in the room and plenty of storage space. We didn't use the TV but some of our party who did said there was no signal. There was a mini bar with water, soft drinks and beers (not free). One of our party had a room at the end of the hotel overlooking the sea with large opening doors and a balcony, which was even nice to use in January and as far as I know all rooms have balconies although not all look out to sea. We had room service to our room one night and the service was prompt the food good and inexpensive (£20 euros for three meals). The only downside to the room is there is no kettle but this is probably due to the water in Northern Cyprus being unsafe to drink even after it is boiled. There is a very large breakfast room overlooking the sea and even though the hotel was busy you could always find a table, there was everything you could imagine at breakfast from freshly cooked omelettes, fruit, cooked items, breads, pastries, cereals etc. It was all really good quality and varied and the service in the restaurant, bar, reception and throughout the hotel was very good. We didn't have the evening meal included so cannot comment on that but there is a good Chinese buffet style restaurant on site that we visited and also an Indian restaurant and mini market just outside the complex on the main road although we didn't have time to visit these. The swimming pools look lovely to visit in the summer, we would stay here again if in the area.

Stayed here for three nights as part of a group on an RSD Travel package tour and very impressed for the money paid.
It advertises itself as five star and probably is that in Cyprus but I'd only rate at four star UK standards.

Our room was right on the corner looking over the beach with two large picture windows giving great views. Balcony to sit out and watch the sunset. The room was clean and modern with loads of space, a comfortable bed and two chairs plus coffee table as well as all mod cons. Downside was the TV did not work but we did not ask assistance as we did not really need it to do so.

Buffet service in a very large dining room for breakfast and dinner which tended to be quite noisy but was well compensated for by an excellent choice of dishes, all freshly prepared and continually topped up. Good wine list including local beers and wines.

Good location for the beach and plenty of leisure facilities including spa and sauna which we did not get chance to use but which looked to be of a good standard.

Very helpful and friendly staff.

The hotel is a 3 star at best and is your average high volume all inclusive hotel.
Our room was dated, cigarette burns in the carpet and a duvet which didn’t fit the bed. It was however clean.
My main concern in this hotel is lack of COVID restrictions. In the restaurant they are handing out masks however are not enforcing them being worn on making people sanitise on entrance into the restaurant. It is self service all inclusive so actually a risk with everyone touching the utensils. Half of the staff have the face mask only covering the mouth.. The lifts are a free for all with people not wearing masks and people of different groups cramming in with no control or signage.

The food is not great at all and is very basic and lacks hot, good quality food. The hotel does not have many facilities near by in terms of eating out. It also puts you off the food the fact people are not sanitising and touching food and utensils spreading germs and putting other guests at risk.

It is only the main buffet restaurant open and the snack bar in the day time along with the Turkish counter which both again have no enforcement of COVID restrictions.

I have come over to Cyprus from the U.K. for IVF treatment and I would not recommend this hotel due to the risk of COVID due to poor restrictions and control by the hotel.

We chose to stay at this hotel after looking at all the positive reviews however I couldn’t be more disappointed.

We booked a two night stay here last month and decided to book a two bed villa overlooking the pool thinking it would be quieter for the kids and easy access to the pool.

We paid roughly £230 GBP a night rather than £180 GBP for a standard hotel room. When we checked in, the staff did not make us aware that the room was located opposite the evening entertainment (which goes on until around midnight). Given we have two very young children (2 and 4 years old), you would expect a warning. Suffice to say the very loud thumping music went on way past my children’s bedtime. To make things worse, both my children are autistic and are very sensitive to sound and wouldn’t fall asleep until the music stopped.

Unfortunately, after we did eventually fall asleep, I was kept up most of the night by mosquitoes buzzing in my ear and by the morning we had several bites including on our faces. On the second night at roughly 9.30pm, I asked housekeeping to fumigate the room and asked for an extra pillow. The pillow arrived 15 minutes later and I was told that he had forgotten the mosquito spray. He said he would be back shortly. 45 mins later we were still waiting. My kids were becoming very restless at this point and wanted to sleep. The loud music wasn’t helping either and housekeeping wasn’t answering their phone. I physically went to reception to complain as at this point I was getting quite fed up. I was referred to guest relations who said he had sent a ‘WhatsApp’ message to housekeeping and that someone would arrive shortly. He said that the music should also be stopping shortly.

Housekeeping finally arrived after well over an hour of the originally call and when I asked him why he took so long, he stated he was mixing the spray (I was later told my guest relations that the sprays come ready made). He the fumigated the rooms and we had to wait outside for 15mins to allow the fumes to disperse. By the time we eventually went to bed it was around midnight (similar time to when the music stopped).

In the morning as we were checking out, I asked to speak to the manager who arrived to speak to me, he apologised and walked off mid conversation. I am further exasperated with the manner in which my complaint was handled.

I had very high expectations for this hotel given that we were paying also £250 GBR a night, I was left bitterly disappointed with the whole stay and the way in which the manager had been so unprofessional.

A waste of money and I certainly will not be recommending this hotel to anyone.

I stayed at Salamis Bay with my wife and two young daughters from 30th July - 13th Aug 2022 and it was the worst holiday experience I have ever had!

Food is absolutely awful!! Inedible!! So much so, that we had to buy pot noodles from the local shop. Even the Chinese restaurant that you pay a €5 supplement for is grim! Breakfast, lunch and dinner times are chaotic! It's like cattle at a meat market.

The guests (understand that this is not the hotel's fault) are extremely rude!

Most of the bar staff are completely miserable (unless you speak their language), and are very anti woman!

My wife would queue for drinks and be completely ignored (even shoved out of the way), and men served first. And if I walked up to the bar, women that were in front of me would be overlooked.

Rooms are ‘cleaned’ daily by the noisiest cleaners I’ve ever known. Crashing about in the corridor at the break of dawn, so we were woken up EVERY day.

You need to get up at the crack of dawn to put your towels down for a bed at the pool (didn't think this system was fair, or still even existed in 2022). My family and I came on holiday to relax, and it was just far too busy here. The hotel accept paying day guests as well as the people that have booked to stay, and so to say it was overcrowded is an understatement.

Daytime entertainment around the smaller pool is the same playlist every day. The bigger pool, we only used once as there was no space, unless you want to lay on the floor as all the beds are ‘reserved’ with towels.

I've never felt like I wanted to go home from a holiday, but this one was poor. Gutted as we paid a lot of money to stay here, and we were really looking forward to it. Even our kids couldn’t wait to get home!! 3 days in to the holiday I was so desperate to get out that I was searching the internet for alternative accommodation, and if I found something affordable, we’d have been gone!

If you’ve already booked; good luck. If not; don’t waste your money!!

The hotel area is very nice, lovely sand beach with shallow water suitable for kids. Life guards at every pool and beach.
Room nice and spacey, in the 7th floor we also heard no noise from animation. Appreciate it very much.
Just why is the sea view Cafe serving food only from 12? Also the ice cream 12-16? Everything is this times and if you want to have a desert and coffee or ice cream earlier you’ll have only this chance.
Why is the woman at the ice cream touching the ice cream with her hands? It looks disgusting! The cone is wet from ice cream the person had before you. Ouch. It would be the perfect real Algida ice cream!
Try the Turkish pastry around the ice cream corner. Its fresh made with cheese or chocolate!
The swings in the playground have some special effect I guess :)

We booked the hotel as we were there on business.
Its all inclusive and for the cost its well worth it. However, we had a couple of late sleepless nights with having very noisy Germans across the hall from us. We complained about this and the management moved us to a large suite. For me, this is the sign of good management PR skills and was much appreciated. Some hotels fall down badly in their customer service. The dinning room is very large and does look like an industrial type dinning area. The reason may be as it was very busy most times, it may of looked like that. Therefore, because of this, it lacked that classy touch of ambiance dinning for a 5 star hotel. However, its such a big hotel and its is what it is, anyway due to our business which took us out most of the day, we only had brunch, a late breakfast. At that time it was usually fairly empty. As I stated is all inclusive and a very good price for what you get and because of this its nice to relax at night when we got back from work to have a couple of drinks in the large reception area. I have stayed at many hotels around the world and for me a good professional customer service is what makes a hotel. We eventually enjoyed our stay and slept well in the suite. I would go and stay there again.

We stayed here for 10 nights and had a lovely stay. 5* which I would compare to 4* by spanish standards.
The hotel is lovely and so Covid secure! They insist on masks in the restaurant and there are so many hand sanitising stations its hard not to use them.
The rooms, communal areas and pool areas are clean and socially distanced which is fab and the deck out on the sea is amazing. We spent everyday there watching the waves. Beautiful.
The only downsides we could find is the toilets are a fair walk away if you do choose to sunbathe on the deck and there is a lack of English speaking staff which we found a little isolating and difficult when trying to book our PCR tests for coming home. There is complimentary bottles of water everywhere you look! In your room and on your table at both lunch and dinner times. The food is fantastic and it's a meat lovers heaven! They do also offer great veggie dishes too. It's just a shame they don't cater for intolerances and list any possible allergens on the food labels.
But we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.
(Take Turkish Lira as currency as things work out cheaper! They do accept Euros too.)

we stayed in the block over the casino on the fourth floor ,which was wonderfully peaceful whilst being close enough to all the amenities . The facilities are amazing , the pools were spotless and always had a life guard in attendance .The staff were exemplary, fluent in english , pleasant and helpful . We never had a problem with finding a sunbed whether at the pools or on the beach . The food was plentiful, and varied enough over a 10 day stay. Children , although not a lot were present were well catered for .Had it not been for the corona virus we would already have rebooked for a later summer holiday this year . This was our second visit ,having visited about 3 years ago .

Yes they do , and they also have a special area in the dinning room for children to sit with food catered for their age group. A fantastic holiday for adults and their families I've stayed there 4 times since January. Just wonderful.

Dear Jugesh, hotel is in the N.Cyprus(Turkish part). For Indian passport, you have to find rules in similar websites. Passport validity requirements If you are visiting Turkey, your passport must: be valid for at least 150 days from the date you arrive have a full blank page for entry and exit stamps If you are a resident in Turkey, your passport must be valid for 6 months from the date you arrive. If entering Turkey through a land border, make sure your passport has a dated entry stamp before you leave the border crossing. Visa requirements If you’re visiting Turkey for tourism or business for up to 90 days in any 180-day period, you do not need a visa. If you plan to remain in Turkey for more than 90 days, apply for a longer stay visa or get a residence permit before the end of your 90-day stay. If you plan to work in Turkey, make sure you have the right permits. If you hold a different type of British nationality, such as British National (Overseas), check visa requirements with the Turkish Embassy or Consulate General before you travel.
