Ignore the negative (badly written) reviews...we had our concerns about going half board with those reviews but can honestly say we enjoyed every meal! There was always at least 3 main course choices (1 fish, 2 meat) as well as lovely fresh salads, vegetables & dips, a choice of potatoes and slices of freshly cooked pizza (a whole one could be ordered too). The house wine was fine (could be more chilled but that was remedied by asking for ice). Our room was cleaned every day, fresh towels every day (not essential so maybe adopt the used towels in the shower approach) and the sheets changed a few times in 11 days. The aircon was good, as was the fridge and the mosquito screen was very effective. The reception staff were lovely and we witnessed them dealing with difficult customers with empathy. We paid extra for a sea view room and it was worth it. The pool area was quiet and the pool was clean and inviting. We hired the sunbeds on the beach across the road a few times and it was easy to order coffees and drinks brought over from the hotel. We are definitely planning to go back next year.

This hotel is located in a lovely area overlooking the sea. We booked a Seaview which was obscured by the restaurant roof below. The room was OK at best. The bathroom was very small and there was nothing to affix the shower head to the wall making it difficult to shower without flooding the bathroom. The pool area however was very nice and quiet, with plenty of sun loungers which were comfortable. The food was inedible and certainly always cold. We had to eat out everyday as we couldn't eat the food there. None of the food was labelled so if you suffer with any food allergies or intolerance you would not know what you were eating. Looking at the food it was not always obvious. The food was absolutely disgusting a view which most guests I spoke to shared. The staff were very miserable and tables were very slow to be cleared. I think this hotel are only interested in passing restaurant trade as they were served a more superior menu to resident guests. This is the first hotel I have ever stayed in that doesn't have a toaster for guests to make themselves toast.
I would definitely not return to this hotel as it spoiled our visit to Corfu. They are located in such a lovely spot this hotel could be so much nicer if they made improvement to the food and the rooms in general.

Thank you for all the positive remarks and for bringing up issues, some of which need to be looked into. There is no accounting for taste but the buffet is decent. Common mistake to compare buffet and the a la carte restaurant. Concerning your allergies you should have notified reception in advance so proper explanations of the food ingredients could have been given to you. We regret your expectations were not met and we are already planning improvements.

We stayed there for 11 nights half board with TUI and bearing in mind this is a 2 start hotel you can’t expect miracles.
On a plus staff were very friendly and helpful.
The rooms are basic, the shower had the smallest tray I’ve seen, why they didn’t make them wet rooms, there was a floor drain. The shower being so small meant the shower curtain would cling to you, in the end left the curtain open. The shower head dispersed more water to the ceiling but when reported it was promptly changed. There was a small fridge in the room which had seen better days with broken shelves and could have done with a defrost but was functional. The fly screen in the separate door panel was missing.
There was very limited space to put your clothes. The air conditioner was operating fine thankfully. There was also a smell from the drains if you left the bathroom door open and be aware you can’t flush toilet paper down the loo anywhere in Corfu.

The pool area had hazards with many broken tiles, the pool itself was lacking a clean, the steps were very slippery and algae was forming around the edges.

A lack of H&S no signs displayed when hosing the floors, the floors became very slippery, a couple of people slipped, one sprained his ankle but could have been worse as he was on the steps at the time.

The food was very disappointing barely warm, we were expecting a choice from a la carte menu for evening meal (by TUI) but was faced with a buffet of again barely warm but dry food. The pizzas if you could get one were good and probably the only hot food there. We ate out most of the time, Tiffany’s do a good breakfast and for evening meals there are plenty of restaurants to chose from but at own expense which we are in the process of complaining to TUI about,

We are not blaming the hotel, in our case we believe TUI are 100% at fault by not checking the facilities or even having a rep there. This was our first package holiday and our last.

We regret your expectations were not met but thank you for your comments. Yes, we do not advertise a la carte services in the all inclusive package and the food at the buffet is kept warm at the required temperatures. Some of your remarks will be looked into. Again thank you for choosing our hotel and improvements will be made.

Positive review based on our week. The reception on arrival was friendly and Iinformative.our room was overlooking the beach on the first floor, the room was clean and was cleaned each day, with fresh towels, the room was showing some signs of being tired and in need of some attention to the flooring in the room and the shower area.
The breakfast was fab, fresh and hot no complaints. The evening meal was a bit lame with tepid and repetitive food, there was the availability of fresh hot food in the resteraunt but you had to pay for this. The staff for breakfast were attentive, but the.opposite was felt for the evening meal unless you was paying for the meal.
The location is spot on, and the resteraunts we visited for our 5 out of 7 evening meals were really nice and good value (40euros for 2 courses with a drink)
Special mention to Papalogonas and Phevos resteraunts.
We would happily stay again and enjoy all that Ipsos has to offer at the Ipsos Di Mare

Just returned from a 7 night stay and it was amazing. From the moment we arrived at around 11pm we were greeted by a friendly Night Manager and check in was quick and simple. Our room was on 1st floor, with a sea view. It had everything we needed, including a hairdryer which was an unexpected surprise. We popped out to buy some snacks and delighted to find a supermarket within a minutes walk from hotel and stocked up on multipack of bottled water (as happily surprised to find we had a good sized fridge in our room).

The room was super clean with two large single beds, beds were firm but fantastic and the air con was a dream, we both agreed on the good quality of our sleep. The bathroom was small but functional, the shower was basic but spacious and the water pressure was great.

The location is unbeatable you wake up in the morning to the most gorgeous sunrise, cross over to the beautiful beach, clear sea, water sports and the comfiest sun loungers. Plus they even offer beach service for drinks.

There are many bars, restaurants and shops within minutes from the hotel.

The pool area looked nice and although we never spent time there were many other guests that did and enjoyed. With the most gorgeous beach on our doorstep we didn’t feel the need.

We had breakfast and dinner included and couldn’t fault it. Plenty of choice and all delicious. We visited Paxos during our stay so dined out there one night and also Corfu town which is immense but otherwise would have happily eaten at the hotel every night.

What made our holiday was all the wonderful team that work so hard and are visibly passionate about what they do and it’s obvious how much they care. Special mention to Elena who is a ‘shining light’! She is incredible, and her constant smile is infectious. She is a credit to the hotel! The owner is also super hands on and so supportive to his team!

Yes the hotel could benefit from some upgrading and they know it! but they will and this hotel will only get better. So for a wonderful relaxing break in a 2* hotel on beautiful island, I would highly recommend!

Thank you to Team Ipsos Di Mare for a wonderful holiday, we loved it! you were just what we needed! Corfu is paradise 💙

Had the misfortune to book through Tui to stay here, they have missold this place as a holiday destination and were no use what so ever in moving us, pictures v reality disgusting, food was cold morning and night, through carpark to get to pool, dirty, broken tiles, advertised as lovely infinity pool, reality omg, suposed to have poolside snack bar, it did at some point but it was concreted up! Black slimy stuff down steps to get in, other ladder steps hanging off, f u wanted a drink you had to go back through carpark n hang around in restaurant till someone appeared, restaurant manager an arrogant pig, hotel manager a little more helpful, noone came to offer you a drink at evening meal (we were half board, but would have been nice have waiting staff coming to table asking if you wanted a drink) you had to go to bar and wait till someone appeared who was serving a walk in customer, food wasn't labelled what it was, until day 10 when partner had had enough of the freezing cold guessing game of what to eat, most of time it looked like slops, restaurant managers answer, we will buy two microwaves for people who want it hot! staff more interested in walk in customers, room was nothing like tui photo, wardrobe was a concrete cupboard in corner full of cobwebs, broken tiles in room, rusty fridge, toilet seat hanging off, asked reception why no tui rep, told not seen one in that hotel for years, restaurant staff very surly, cleaners were lovely and only staff that smiled! #TUI no use, rang them twice, sent 6 emails, 10 messages on app, finally offered to move us on day 11 at a cost of 350.1p to us and we were getting picked for airport on day 14 at 10 am, they should have moved us for noyhing after putting us in a hotel like that, claim pending! Only good good reviews on here seem to be from the Greek people! Staff from hotel/friends maybe. Taking the cost off we paid 750 each to stay here, and half of time had to have breakfast/evening meal out.oh and tui advertised private beach for hotel yes they had ipsos di mare beach sunbeds but charged you 5 euro each a day, no receipt given! So nothing to prove to tui that the hotel charging, many others in the hotel were also complaining, I am not a person who claims and complains over nothing, never complained once in 40 yrs of holidays abroad, but partner had a stroke 3 months ago, soon as consultant said he could fly we booked this last minute, was so stressful

Good evening, about the pool bar there was never adverised or sold as a service a pool bar to serve the guests of the pool as we wanted to keep it a quiet place without music and alcohol drinking place in order to keep it as a relaxing place for everyone. The way to the pool is through the private carpark and we can't find the wrong in that as you didn't reserved a pool room and is logical to have decline on the floor where people were passing by and cars moved though to park, but in no case this was dangerous or obstructed the operation of the hotel or discomforting our clients. About the labels as we had a change in our cuisine as our chef changed we recognize that there was a mix-up about the labels which was eventually resolved. Any problems about the room were not reported to us but to TUI instead of the reception in order to get another room or compensation. When it was reported directly to us the problems were resolved immediately. The reviews good or bad are coming from all over the world and you can check it immediately. Not everyone can have the same aspect when they are trying to ask something or writing a review. The way you deal with a problem is crucial when you try to get it resoved for your own experience and for other guests. All problems which were reported at reception were dealt or spoken about which made the guests experience. Problems are always coming up and we try to do our best to resolve them. The staff at the bar and the restaurant are some of the most hard working persons in our hotel. When you address them in a drunk condition is not the ideal condition and when you begin to shout in front of the whole restaurant not only is not proper but it's a becoming a problem. From day one you were drunk and used alcohol at the pool and tried to influence our other guests to claim compensations and make reports and bad reviews. Normally we report drunk conditions and getting bad reports. The beach was never offered as free not on TUI or any other place, and the receipts were always available and never asked for. About the cold food we really got mixed reviews when we spoke to people this year as some couldn't touch the tong which accompanied each meal choice and others told us that food was cold even when the cooking dish was hot. We appreciate your review which will help us to deal with similar problems more promptly and we are still looking for solutions in order that no guest would have a bad experience about the food and how hot is it. We appreciate your review but the best way to deal with a problem is not by having as an aspect how you will get benefits but resolve any problems you have directly with speaking about them with the people that are there and will do their best to improve your stay. Thank you.

Hotel ipsos di mare is the worst hotel that I have ever stayed at .the front of the hotel looks fabulous but once you go up the stairs it all changes. The rooms are very basic which I don't mind but they are very dirty cramped and dated .the shower head was mouldy there was public hair in the shower and in the corners of the room my wife went to the shop to get antiseptic wipes as she didn't want to cause a scene. The food in the hotel was stale and cold when we asked why the heaters wer not on we wer told that electricity is expensive the waiters only come to you if you are a paying guest off of the street if you are staying at the hotel they don't bother with you. people that did complain wer treated with contempt the only thing I can say good about this hotel is that we are not there now . I am going to send a email to the town mayor to complain about this hotel because the actual resort is superb and hotels like the ipsos di mare give the resort a bad name

Hotel is lovely, can’t fault the room, restaurant and pool area. We had the breakfast buffet included in our stay which was amazing and had plenty of choice. We paid to have the dinner buffet one evening which we got at a discounted price due to staying in the hotel, that was also amazing, lots to choice from, fish, meat, pasta, salads etc. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Location perfect, right on the ipsos strip opposite the beach. Only bad point is the lack of security/hotel staff presence on an evening, on our last night we were kept up all night until the early hours due to other young guests (staying in multiple rooms around our room) partying, this included shouting, screaming, slamming doors, loud bangs, moving furniture, throwing objects around, going up and down the different hotel rooms, basically running riot and no staff around to witness this or have words with them. Overall great hotel and will definitely stay again. (Also loved all the cats in the hotel grounds)

When we arrived our sea view room was not available, we were put into room out the back til the following day. the buffet food for breakfast and dinner was always cold. The walkways to the pool had broken tile a bad trip hazard, the steps into the pool were green and slippery, the bed in the sea view room was very hard and low which hurt my back. It may be a 2-star hotel but i would expect better than we had. No Tui rep and no kettle or hairdryer in room.

Thank you for your comments on your stay in our hotel. In response to your remarks we would like to say the following: firstly we apologise for any inconvenience upon arrival. The food at the buffet is kept warm at the required temperatures but you could always report this to the person in charge of the buffet. The bed matresses will not please everyone as different guests prefer different matresses. If there was a broken tile you should have reported it to reception. Kettles and hairdryers are provided upon request at the reception desk. Reception staff would also have been eager to give you any information you needed had you asked. We regret your expectations were not met but that should not diminish what the hotel has to offer.

Booked this hotel for our Wedding Anniversary through First Choice based on reviews pictures & description on their website. Upon arrival thought they had been a mistake with room as we were put in a twin not double as described at time of booking went down to Reception to be told no other rooms available and take it or leave it attitude. Contacted TUI who spoke to hotel who said we would be moved when room was available. After not hearing anything from Hotel Staff approached Male Receptionist who was more understanding & said he would move us Mon morn. We had to check out of room & leave luggage at Reception until other room was available, although 2nd room given it was NOT the one that First Choice & TUI are showing on their website. Other issue was food every meal was cold & there was no labelling for people with allergy’s . If you are able to eat pizza the pizza man will make fresh he was lovely & pleasant the only other thing you got hot was toast you made in a morning. It’s a shame as hotel is in a prime position on sea front & looks lovely from outside majority of Staff are hard working and lovely. Would NOT return 1st pic is room FIRST CHOICE & TUI are selling others are actual rooms you get

Good evening. When we got your reservation the information we had on the document sent to us was about a double room with twin beds or double bed. The allocation of the rooms are happening on availability of the hotel. When the availability allowed us we moved you to a double bed by organizing with the housekkeping dept a plan to make it as soon as possible in order for a more enjoyable stay. About the cold food we really got mixed reviews when we spoke to people this year as some couldn't touch the tong which accompanied each meal choice and others told us that food was cold even when the cooking dish was hot.
