Rum Magic Nights is a Bedouin Camp located in the middle of Wadi Rum Protected area, Camp is 8Km from Wadi Rum village main street, Surrounded with mountains and has an amazing desert landscape and mountain view. Cam is NOT surrounded with other camps, and uses reliable energy for electricity and heating water.
This is a friendly clean efficient and good location but marred by SO much plastic and other waste left around even within the ‘camp’ boundaries. And further afield there is rubbish littering the environment everywhere. Each camp needs to stop using plastic water bottles and individual plastic cups of water but should offer boiled and filtered water. And surely each camp should keep clean up as much as they can. AND TRAVELLERS PLEASE stop littering!!!!

A very nice overnight stay with a jeep tour through the desert. Pick-up was problem-free in Wadi Rum after prior arrangement via WhatsApp. Very nice tent, with A/C and large bathroom. Everything was clean and there were enough power sockets. The dinner was a dream (also suitable for vegetarians) and we would have liked to have enjoyed it for another evening. Unfortunately the breakfast was not so good, but you can't expect an XXL breakfast in the desert. It's not worth staying longer than one night because you're in the middle of the desert.
Now unfortunately the big negative: We got information about a jeep tour from the hotel. 4 hours costs 90 JD per jeep. We then had the chance to share the tour with another couple at short notice. So 90 JD divided by 2 equals 45 JD per couple. Unfortunately the Bedouins (who run the jeep tour) had a different opinion in the end and everyone had to pay 70 JD (supposedly they said so). So they charged 140 JD for a 4-hour jeep tour instead of 90 JD. So 185€ for 4 hours of driving through the desert! Or rather, driving for a total of one hour and looking at the rest. Rip-off 10, but that's their business. Same as in Petra where they rip you off (there are enough comments about that). Unfortunately, it wasn't any better here. In our opinion, the tour isn't worth it. You look at a few things, Instagram photo spots, a gorge (there are many other better ones for free) and otherwise the tour isn't really exciting. But that has nothing to do with the hotel, it was perfect. I wrote the same review on Booking.com, which has since been deleted. After the review (less than 15 minutes later!) I was immediately contacted via WhatsApp and bombarded with voice messages. That was pretty creepy and just confirmed to us that we would never have anything to do with these people again. The contact was immediately blocked and deleted. Pictures of this are attached as proof.

Very nice place friendly and friendly people Beautiful remarkable sunset Unique place Clean and comfortable room
Wadi Rum, located in the desert of Jordan, is a remarkable place where the breathtaking landscape of rock formations sculpted by wind and sand stretches as far as the eye can see. This site, also called the “Valley of the Moon”, offers an immersive experience in the heart of the desert, away from the hustle and bustle of modern cities.
One of the main attractions of Wadi Rum is the possibility to spend the night in traditional Bedouin camps or in luxurious tents offering unexpected comfort in the middle of the desert. These camps allow you to admire a starry sky of exceptional clarity, without light pollution, offering an unforgettable natural spectacle.
Visitors can also explore Wadi Rum by camel, 4x4 or even hiking, discovering iconic sites like the rocky Burdah Bridge or the Nabataean inscriptions carved in stone. Sunrise and sunset are particularly impressive, tinting the rocks with spectacular glowing shades.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Wadi Rum is also a popular place for adventure and Bedouin culture lovers. Sharing tea around a fire with the locals, listening to their stories and tasting local dishes adds an authentic dimension to this desert getaway.
Whether for a night in a traditional tent or an expedition through its vast expanses, Wadi Rum is a must-see destination for anyone wishing to discover the raw and mystical beauty of the Jordanian desert.

Beautiful place in the middle of the desert with a super friendly team. Comfortable rooms with private bathroom, comfortable bedding, in case of extreme heat, air conditioning we did not turn it on. We took a full day in a Jeep with Armed, we had a wonderful day, we had lunch under the shelter of a rock, in the evening we drank tea facing the sunset, impeccable kindness. In the evening dinner is at 7:30 p.m. and in the morning breakfast is until 9 a.m. which is a little early in my opinion. I 100% recommend this place which cuts us off from the world. The sunsets and starry nights will remain engraved in our memories! If you have the car, you leave it in the village and they will keep it for you in the parking lot of a house.

Room was comfortable and warm, after a day of walking through Petra and Wadi Rum the bed felt so soft and fell asleep instantly. Going to sleep and waking up in the middle of the dessert was an experience I will never forget. I would recommend this camp to anyone looking for a unique experience!

Absolutely amazing overnight stay in this beautiful location! The sights are stunning, the atmosphere is tranquil. The host was very nice and polite. Our programme included dinner with demonstration of authentic way for cooking meat (It is buried in sand on the place where fire was burnt for a few hours in a special metal container - after a few hours in the sand the food is grilled and ready to eat), some local dance moves, and big campfire. It's very good to do stargazing there. I would recommend to book delux tent in comparison with a standard one, becuase delux has a really nice private bathroom, which looks totally like a bathroom in regular hotel, having a proper shower and everything, and also delux tents are equipped with AC, which is especially important in summer: under the sun the tent becomes boiling hot during the day and it takes most of the night for it to cool down. So AC is important.

Amazing experience and best day of my life. Camp was spotless - ended up upgrading to a deluxe tent was well worth it. Great staff and attentive and huge dinner and breakfast selection. They even showed us how the bedouins traditionally cook meals and explained it all to us. Even showed us a traditional dance after dinner. Would come back in a heartbeat.

I had a hard time deciding on a camp in Wadi Rum. The offer is very wide and most have many good comments and some bad comments. After a lot of research I decided on this camp and I was completely right. I chose a "deluxe" tent, which are the ones with air conditioning and a private bathroom. The room is not inferior to that of a hotel, it is clean and the air conditioning works wonderfully. The price of this category of accommodation is not cheap but it is what it means to want to sleep in the desert as if you were in a hotel. The price included dinner and breakfast, both varied and with which I was satisfied. Upon arrival you are given fresh water and the team does everything in its power to spend a unique night with entertainment after dinner. They have details with the guests and treat you wonderfully.
I would only like to mention as a negative that most of the sheets are synthetic and, in addition to not breathing well, they make a play of lights due to the electric discharges that are produced with the movement of the body against them at night, which could well have given rise to the name of the camp.

Our Experience in Wadi Rum with Ahmed and Magic Camp
We were picked up by Ahmed at the Wadi Rum Visitor Centre. It was during a quieter season (due to the war period), so prices were lower than usual.
Since it was winter, the sun set around 6 PM. When we decided to go with Ahmed for the sunset tour, it was already 5:30 PM. The tour was supposed to include stops at Khazali Canyon, Lawrence Spring, the sand dunes, and the sunset spot. We knew there wasn’t enough time to see everything, so we asked if we could just focus on the sunset that evening and visit the other attractions the next day.
Initially, Ahmed insisted that we “trust him” and said there was enough time for everything, but we weren’t convinced. After some back and forth, he finally agreed. We arrived at the sunset spot around 5:45 PM, just in time for the sunset at 6 PM.
That evening, Ahmed took us to Magic Camp, which he said was owned by his uncle. We paid 57 JOD for two people, including dinner and breakfast. The camp was very comfortable, with working heaters, WiFi, and hot showers. The Yemen staff member was particularly helpful and hardworking. However, people were smoking in the dining tent, which was a downside.
Ahmed also collected the Wadi Rum entrance fee (7 JOD per person) from us, but we later found out that this fee is supposed to be paid directly at the Visitor Centre. We’re unsure if this was eventually handed over.
The Tour Experience
The next morning, Ahmed took us to Khazali Canyon, where he let us explore on our own. We expected at least some explanations, as we weren’t sure what we were looking at. While wandering, we noticed other guides explaining the area to their groups, which made us feel like we were missing out.
After about 40 minutes, we came out and found Ahmed wasn’t there. We had to text him to return, and when he did, he seemed unhappy, saying we’d taken too long. When we asked why he didn’t come into the canyon with us or explain anything, he said he was just the driver.
For the rest of the tour, the experience felt rushed. At the sand dunes, he gave us just a few minutes to snap a photo before telling us to move on. At Lawrence Spring, he tried to give a short explanation, but there wasn’t much to see, and we spent only five minutes there.
Final Thoughts
The Magic Camp itself was a highlight – clean, comfortable, and with helpful staff. However, the tour experience with Ahmed left us feeling disappointed. The rushed pace and lack of explanations made it hard to fully appreciate the beauty of Wadi Rum.
If you’re visiting, we’d recommend clarifying expectations with your guide beforehand to ensure a better experience. Alternatively, consider seeking a tour guide who offers more than just driving, especially if you’re interested in learning about the area.

We are really sorry to hear that; The client has arranged their tour activity from the visitors center with "Ahmad" , and this is like taking a taxi to reach your destination or hotel and ended up plaming the Hotel for the bad driver experince !!!! We are a lodgne or hotel not a taxi or transportation company, we do have our set of recommended drivers for sure , but you choosed your driver so we should not be plamed for this ...
