My friend and I spent a day and a half with Joy of life and it was an unforgettable experience. First we arranged a camel ride, then they took us to a camp in the middle of the desert, where we watched the sunset and had a delicious Bedouin dinner. We were accommodated in cabins with beds, there was also electricity and wifi :-) I felt safe, they took care of us and were interested in whether we were missing anything. The next day, after breakfast, we went to climb the highest mountain in Jordan with our guide, who showed us other attractions and cooked lunch in the desert. After almost a full day's program, he drove us safely to our car. The Bedouin hospitality and friendliness blew us away. I definitely recommend it warmly, they can tailor the program to everyone's needs :-)

We had a great time at Joy of Life - they run a wonderful camp experience. We arrived to the Wadi Rum Village mid-morning, connected with Eid and took a half day excursion hitting highlights of the desert with lunch provided. We stayed for dinner and slept overnight in one of the cabins, which was minimal but comfortable and safe. Bathrooms are shared, well maintained and easily accessible, and dinner and breakfast were tasty with all the tea you’d like to drink. Highly recommend this camp and best to coordinate through WhatsApp with Eid, who is warm and friendly, as is his extended family. FYI cellular service stops at the Wadi Rum Village and there is no WiFi provided at the camp, so unplug and enjoy!

My family had an amazing time here! We stayed two nights in a cozy Bedouin tent, ate delicious meals at the camp, and went on a great day tour around Wadi Rum with Yousef! Eid and the staff are very welcoming. The camp has good bathrooms and showers, a larger tent with a fire and tea, and a meal tent too. I look forward to coming back here in the future.

The owner of the camp Joy of life was very helpful and accommodating during the planning of accommodation, jeep tour etc. Upon arrival at Rum village everything worked perfectly and the driver took us to the camp. Great location and atmosphere, very friendly staff and amazingly plentiful breakfast and dinner. All very tasty. There was a fire burning in the big tent, we drinked Bedouin tea and chatted with everyone.
The sunrises and sunsets in the desert were a treat too.
The simply furnished tents were adequate, even the hot water in the shower was running. It was something exclusive in the desert :-) The full day jeep tour included about 10 stops and also lunch in the desert - prepared over a fire. We also enjoyed the whole day thanks to our driver/chef and friend Yusuf.
The whole stay was great thanks to the staff and especially our host and friend Zaid.

Our heartfelt thanks.

Hope to see you again my friends.

Perfect choice. We spend one full day and night at this Camp with the host, Mr. Eid.
The price for the night is unbeatable and, be sure, that you receive the best care and knowledge of the Wadi Rum dessert.
We did the Jeep tour with Hamid, great professional and entertaining. We also did the camel tour with them and we can assure that everything has been perfect!
Great staff and the food they cooked for dinner, splendid!!!

Great tour with Eid, who is very responsive on WhatsApp and has transparent pricing on the Joy of Life website for all the tours you can imagine in Wadi Rum. We did the classic 4x4 intro on day 1 followed by an early morning hike to Umm Ad Dami, the highest peak in Jordan! We started early-ish around 07 to avoid the heat and the crowd, totally worth it!

For the camp we stayed in the newer glass door tent with private bathroom. It was very much like glamping, really comfortable, and beautiful nightsky. Food was excellent throughout and water plentiful. Can't ask for anything more!

Joy of Life was exactly what we wanted to experience when the plan to head to Wadi Rum came up.

We drove from Amman and arrived at around 1:00PM to Wadi Rum village. There is an entry charge of 1JD for Jordanians and 5JD for foreigners. If you want to take your car inside, we heard there is a 35JD charge.

Eid met us at the village and drove us to camp where a hot fried tomato meal awaited us. We ate, unpacked, relaxed and headed out to our 4 hour tour with
The tour is definitely worth it.

Hamed was extremely polite, he held our hands when we needed help and showed us the paths to climb up or walk into high or tight places. He joked around with the younger ones and made the elders laugh – mind you it was all in Arabic.

We were taken to 4 or 5 different locations, with special rock formations or sands. We have a thing for sunset so insisted on a place to sit and watch it. The tour guide, Hamed chose a beautiful spot not too far from camp and we sat there for a nice photo session.

Then we went for dinner of some chicken and vegetables - nothing too fancy but tastes really good after the exercise and sun.

The toilets were clean and well equipped. They were inside the camp but not inside each tent. There was also a shower, but we didn’t use it as we were leaving the next day. The tents were elevated, so there was no fear of anything crawling in.

Bring sun screen, hats or scaves to cover your heads, wear light clothes (not jeans) and walking shoes. No mosquitos when we left, but there are all sorts of living things around, but nothing bothersome.

Some of us got up really early to watch the sunrise. It was a sight to behold. You'll need to walk about 10 minutes away from camp to see it but it's worth it.

Next day, we had breakfast and left.

I highly recommend this camp, everything about it was wonderful.

Thank you to Eid and Hamed. We will be back again.

The whole stay at Joy of Life was wonderful, Eid and all the brothers and cousins took good care of us. We experienced an amazing all-day Jeep tour of Wadi Rum and its attractions, the next day also a camel ride. The children and we were completely excited. Accommodation was very comfortable, Bedouin tents, comfortable beds and blankets if one is colder, clean bathroom. Amazing breakfast and dinner every day. In the area there is a main tent where she eats and a smaller tent with a fireplace, where you can have a nice tea and shisha. We were here with children 7 and 10 years and we experienced one of the most beautiful experiences in Jordan. Thank you Eid

Highly recommend this camp! Easy and fast communication via Whatsapp, very friendly Beduins who took great care of us. We had the full day tour, saw all the beautiful places in Wadi Rum, tried sandboarding, and ended the day with sunset watching. Amazing breakfast, lunch and dinner was included and tea and coffee was ready for us the whole time. In the evening they showed us how they traditionally cook their meal in sand, and after dinner invited us for more tea in a comfortable tent. Clean bathroom with running water and nice tents. It gets a bit chilly at night but you can ask for more blankets, the staff is always happy to help. Afrer breakfast a camel ride was organised for us, which was a great ending to our stay at this camp. Overall great organisation, we don't have anything bad to say about this place.
Thank you for this experience!

Stay on camp very well organized, good contact with the owners via Whatsapp. The hosts very helpful, extremely friendly. Delicious food, both lunch prepared in the desert and evening "zarb" dinners. We spent two days and two nights in the desert, climbed the highest peak in Jordan and had a full-day jeep tour. The hosts made sure that we were not cold by providing a large amount of blankets for the night;) I recommend ❤️
