Beautiful hotel with very attentive staff and good food! Provided with a great service while checking out with help from bell boy Christopher! Would highly recommend a stay here. Lots to do during the day and at night.
My goal was to have an experience that would allow me to disconnect from all of the stressors of my day to day life. TRS Yucatan delivered! The resort is beautiful and every staff member that we encountered was so helpful and ready to accommodate any requests. If you go, do yourself a favor and get the massage, body scrub and facial service.
We went to celebrate my friend’s 40th birthday and me and my husband’s 20th anniversary. It’s a drive from the airport, but totally worth it! The check-in process was slightly frustrating bc we had checked in on-line and it still took quite a while ( we had been up since 4am and it was 4pm so we were tired and hungry). Once checked in, they took us to our room with a plunge pool that was amazing!! Rooms are nice, housekeeping does a nice job. Our butlers, Jenifer and Edwin made sure we had everything we needed! We enjoyed dinner with Hector at Gaucho, Miguel at Helios and I can’t remember the servers at La Boheme, but they were great!! The Chic show was pretty amazing and worth the $35! Get there before the pre show for a seat and a drink! The shift manager, Braulio came over and introduced himself to us, called us by name and congratulated us on our celebrations numerous times!! He did this multiple times and made us feel very welcome! Would highly recommend!!!…
Eventually arrived after Covid scuppered our holiday plans for 2020 more than ready for this holiday which had been meant to celebrate my 60th birthday and our wedding anniversary. Travelled with husband, son and daughter inlaw. We all had the best ever two week holiday. Check in was a little fraught as there had been confusion over the rooms we had booked and reception tried to put us in the junior suite booked for my son and it seemed to take a long time to sort out that my husband and I were actually the ones booked for the junior suite with jacuzzi. Eventually sorted but I felt I had to be very assertive before reception would make the room change which wasn't nice nor the best start. Later found out that my son and daughter inlaw's room because of the muddle up had been beautifully decorated with love heart rose petals and anniversary card. Apart from this our holiday was perfect. Our suite with jacuzzi was lovely, the bed is so comfortable several nights I can't even remember my head hitting the pillow, maid service very good and everything in our room as requested. A little disappointed that on a few occasions the fridge was not restocked that well and one day not at all which meant we had no bottled water. This was very quickly rectified though when we asked our butler for some. For those who prefer tea to coffee bring your own teabags as only restocked with two teabags whole holiday, not a biggy for us as just had the coffee instead. We could not fault any of the public areas in either TRS or the other hotels that we visited. The infinity pool is lovely and spacious but unfortunately spoilt for us in the afternoons when it becomes a bit rowdy, now I'm not a kill joy, but I do get upset when I see people trying to chase and catch the iguanas to put in the pool, no need and better to respect the local wildlife. All of the pools visited were immaculate and the bar service at each pool excellent, premium drinks and delicious cocktails. Visited all of the restaurants at TRS and food lovely with good service. A little disappointed in one meal at Helios as still waiting on our starter but the waiter did appear to be new so didn't bother saying anything. Another night at Helios we all had fab meal surf n turf but again a little disappointed as there was no white wine available for us to buy, we don't like Chardonnay which is the house wine. We ended up having the house Tempranillo which is good but perhaps not best matched with our meal. One thing I don't understand is that despite being a 5* hotel with a la carte dining at each meal we had to keep our cutlery from our starter to use throughout the duration of our meal, not sure if this is to conserve energy in washing or not but felt very strange. TRS Private beach was a bit of a let down. I usually like to spend some time at the beach but we walked along to the TRS section and felt totally underwhelmed by it. Some of the beds were grubby, cigarette butts in the sand and the sea barely visible from the section. I'm not sure though if my impression of it however was tarnished by the amount of sargassum on the beach during our visit. Maybe if I'd walked the beach alongside crystal clear blue water I may have felt differently about it. I must add though that they are constantly working very hard to clear the beach and this is the chance you take when visiting this time of year. Chic cabaret should not be missed. It is such fun, such fantastic professional entertainment. Not all of the food to our taste but as all really taster size portions was good to try. We went on our last night and it was a great way to end a fantastic holiday. All of the employees are a credit to this hotel and work so hard, nothing is too much trouble for them and they are always smiling and every employee that you pass speaks to you. We all felt so comfortable here from the first day. I have to make a special mention of our butlers in Villa 70, Roberto and Fernando. They were both so lovely, helpful and always smiling and asking if they could do anything for us, thank you I know I will have missed out other staff but also thank you to Emanuel at Las Islas pool bar for keeping us so well hydrated in the very hot weather, to Ivan at La Terraza pool for our drinks and bottles of Scottish wa'ar. To Juan at Helios, Jesus and the chef at La Boeme and to Enziel on Reception. These are only a few of the names of staff I can remember but can honestly say every staff member we met went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and fun as possible. This holiday was for a special occasion and for us cost a lot more than we would normally pay but I will be saving now to return as soon as we can, I feel very homesick for TRS just now…
TRS Yucatán Hotel is the absolute perfect way to experience Mexico! We felt catered to in every way and the service is outstanding! They offer impeccable service from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave the property!
So we had the pleasure of having Christian as our bartender. He was AMAZING. Great personality and very friendly. Attentive to our requests but also very knowledgeable of the liquors and mixed drinks. He introduced us to a new drink. He made me a Strawberry Margarita frozen. The ones I had previously were watery. The one he made was thick and delicious! The presentation was awesome as well. We came back the next day to drink more with him. The BEST bartender we had the whole week we spent at the Grand Palladium. Thank you soooo much Christian.
Our waiter Jesus was excellent. His recommendations were so good, especially since we did not really know a lot about French food. We had an amazing dinner! Thank you for a wonderful evening. Highly recommended.
Fernando at El Gauco was amazing!we’ve had great service our whole trip, but Fernando was extra attentive and personable. He also had great recommendations of what to order, asking what we like and customizing his suggestions to our tastes.
The staff was very friendly and the hospitality was beyond words! These individuals work hard to make sure you enjoy your time in paradise. The food was delicious at every restaurant, desserts as well! This place is definitely worth the trip. Ariadna was so great with checking us in and making sure we were comfortable with our room. Thank you for your hospitality, Ariadna! ♥️ Luis, our butler was simply amazing!
Loved this place. The rooms were great, plunge pool was a bliss to retreat to when we were to hot around the amazing pools. Fridge stocked daily with what we asked for, maid service and night turndown all brills. Thought the food was great, Helios was my favorite with the surf and turf, and breakfast buffet. Loved the French and Italian. Loads of choice to eat, and room service was nice for a snack. Staff amazing, all friendly and helpful. Helios, Ana, Martha & Samantha absolutely took care of us and their friendly smiles and chats set us up for the day. Drinks plentiful and so much choice. Thought the beach was a bit on the narrow side, however, did not distract from what was a brilliant, relaxing, indulgent, fun vacation. Would definitely return. Loved it.
