I give TRS hotel 4 stars only because of their amazing server, otherwise I would give them 3 since it is a gorgeous hotel but with pretty bad service. Don’t get me wrong, everyone is very nice and trying to help but I guess either management is not amazing or it is just very disorganized. Enrique who served us at the Italian and the French restaurant made our nights. He runs around all the time and works so hard. My fiancé proposed that day and we wanted to have a nice dinner and Enrique really made it happen. I am extremely happy that we landed on him because some of the other servers are not the greatest, especially when it comes to bringing you food on time. What is more, you have to have your phone at all times because their menus is online and that day we were on a tour at the ocean and by the time we got to the hotel, our phones were dead. If it wasn’t Enrique I do not think we would have been able to enjoy our dinner. He brought us champagne and literally choose dinner for us and made it a great experience. I eat only fish and no meat and he really made sure that even the appetizers he brought are okay for me to eat. Alberto at the bar in the lobby is also another person that was doing very well and every time we went there, he was helpful and recommended us nice cocktails. The guys who were driving us around try very hard but I think because of organization, sometimes we were left waiting for a cart for quite a while and sometimes would be late because of that. Now for the not so great about the hotel. On our first day there, we went to Capricio I think is called, where we were sent after checking in since we arrived early. We waited to be seated one hour after which we waited one more hour to get a soup. On top of that when the actual food arrived, which took probably at least 30 more minutes, it was terrible. Cold, reheated around 3 times. (I could see because my fiancé ordered a medium steak which had discolorations and different colors of red and brown all over it). By the time we finished our lunch, which we didn’t even eat it was already 5 and we arrived at around 1. I really thought it is just a problem with being understaffed and having a lot of people at the hotel since the next couple of nights we had dinner at different places and it would always take a while. However, the last two days there we had Enrique for our server and everything was arriving hot and on time. The hotel overall is beautiful and we got the room with the pool which was nice but there was dirt in the pool which was cleaned one day before we left (we stayed there for 6 nights). Housekeeping was good. However, I think they have separate people who put new towels in the room and we always had to ask for towels because they would leave us basically with nothing to even be able to take a shower. 2 days I even had to ask for the minibar to be restocked with water. I don’t even want to talk about room service. We used it 2 times and it takes forever. First time they told us 2 hours for a pizza and some brownies. Second time we ordered a late snack because we got to the hotel late and they told us it would take around an hour. After an hour and a half we called and they said they are coming in 10-15 minutes. This was at like 1:30 and they arrived in almost 3 in the morning which was not 10-15 minutes. Overall, it is a beautiful place to stay but unless I am sure that next time I go I would have to ask multiple times for different things like my food or towels, I wouldn’t go.

What can I say. From the minute we got there until the time we left we were treated like a king and queen. Quick check in and off to Villa 66 to an Oceanview room. The infinity pool is the money shot of the resort!! Food - the best! From the filet and coconut shrimp at Helios, the bone in rib eye at El Groucho, the onion soup at La Boheme, and the pizza and pasta at Tentazione. Every restaurant elegant and beautiful. Antonio at El Gaucho was amazing and our favorite server. Martha at Caprichio at breakfast was wonderful as was Miss Patricia the greeter. 100% satisfied with all the food! Beach - love the TRS beach Bali beds where we spent 8-9 hours a day. Maria and Lucia took great care of us as did Alfredo the bartender. Ernesto at the travel club beach area bar is a favorite of many people. Totally satisfied!! Room - very modern, different. Very comfortable. Butlers - Ramon and Jasmine took great care of us. All of our needs were immediately taken care of. Jesus was our favorite cart rider. He usually picked us up. All of our travel club drivers were great. Overall this was our best stay ever. They overdelivered on everything. Laura Lopez and Jonathan Nieto from the travel club spoiled us and are now our friends, our family. This was our 14th time here and we know how to navigate the resort. We already booked our 15th trip in December. The value is here. A great resort that serves the masses. All kinds of people can have fun here. We expected less because of the pandemic but it was as good as ever. Love you Palladium family!! Thank you for making our dreams come true!!

Our Anniversary trip lasted June 12, 2021 through June 16, 2021. We were very excited to be staying at the resort. The first night we attended the Chic Cabaret. The entertainment was excellent, though I was not a fan of the courses (food) that were served. The next morning we slept in and ordered room service. The wait time was an hour (over time it became 2 1/2 hours). That night we had reservations at the steak house (or so we thought. Turns out, our butler did not make the reservations, so we had to wait to be seated. After ordering, it took an hour to receive our meal and my husband had to go to the bar for our drinks. Our waiter disappeared until the meal came. I got the lemon chicken and my husband the New York Strip. They were descent. The next morning we went to the buffet. The line to enter was long and there were only a couple of people available to clear and clean tables. I was very disappointed about the food. There was variety, but it was bot pleasing to the palate. I has a veggie omelette, French toast and bacon. That night we ate at Helios. Dinner there was good, but good luck getting a refill on your drinks. Most of the time it rained off and on. We went to the lobby area in search of entertainment. When we got there people were playing chess, checkers, uno, spades and such. We did visit the fitness center for a workout. Great space and equipment. We got a couples massage as well. It was ok. Didn’t really blow my socks off, but the ladies were nice. The property is huge so you will need to take a trolley to most places. The drivers have no problem leaving you at a stop if they are not going where you need to be. Oh and they won’t call another trolley for you. You just wait and hope or walk. Our last day at the resort, we were able to hang out at the pool. There was a DJ there for about 2 hours. Then he left and there was nothing. Luckily my neighbor had a small speaker and some good tunes. The morning of our departure, I ordered room service and it came at 10:40am. On top of that it was cold and the order was wrong. That was the last straw for me. I am really disappointed in my overall experience. I believe the Resort has huge room to be better, but at this pice point there are expectations that cannot be overlooked. I cannot recommend.

Dear 431wanda, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your anniversary stay at TRS Yucatan Hotel. It is unfortunate to know from you review that you left with such a poor impression of our food quality and room services. All our guests’ comments are valuable for us, not just the positive but the negative ones as well, so you can be sure that your observations will be addressed in order to take the appropriate corrective measures. We regret knowing you do not intend to return, but we do hope that if your travel plans point again to the beautiful Riviera Maya you give us another opportunity. I took my daughter who was turning 21 for five days, we live in Austin, TX. Got a room with the private pool. We were in building 61. We were not happy with the location as we were the very first room inside the building right behind the butler's desk so people coming and going all night made it very loud. We put on white noise at night, I should have asked to change rooms but didn't want to go through the hassle. The butler service is sketchy. Sometimes our reservations were correct and other's not. The wait for your requested items can take 24 hours so request them first thing. Be prepared to wait for room service for at least and hour and for it to show up cold, it's not their fault, it's a large resort. Three other resorts are connected to this one but we chose TRS because it's adult only. We walked through the others and it was filled with children so we stuck to ours. The Italian restaurant and Helios were the best but we can't say great things about the food. The desserts were awesome but that was about it. The staff I have to say was impeccable. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating, check in and out was flawless. There are golf carts to zip you around but everything is completely walkable, we walked everywhere, even in the rain. Seaweed on the beach but again not their fault. The bars at the pools are fantastic and lively, everyone working so hard to make sure you have a drink in your hand. We saw a lot of people not tipping though, please remember this is how they make their living. You can get change for dollar bills when checking in. Israel, a server at all of the restaurants was wonderful. Luis at the pool bar on the beach was very funny and helpful. THE SPA. You must go to the spa. I had the de-stress massage with Brianda and it was the best massage I ever had. She used several different essential oils, peppermint, orange, lavender, I felt like a completely new person. My daughter had a facial which she said was pretty good. All in all, despite the weather, we had a great trip. El Gaucho, we waited for two hours for our meal and one hour just for a drink and then we couldn't chew the chicken. The beef in Mexico really isn't all that recommended, my daughter ordered a few things and she said it tasted funny. We stuck to fish and veggies but the portions are very small. We got potatoes any time we could, LOL. But at check out, a supervisor Jimenez listed to all of our comments and was very concerned about the shortcomings so I know they take it very seriously and we appreciated that. I will say again what an excellent staff and it's a gorgeous resort with outstanding cocktails, just don't have high expectations for the food. But plan when the weather is good and when there isn't the stinky seaweed on the beach and you will enjoy yourselves. Hope this helps!

Wow! I mean, this resort is top-notch. I can’t say enough in this review. If you have been searching for a quality place to vacation, stop here and book this one! My husband and I had a DREAM honeymoon in June 2021. There are plenty of pools and lounge chairs to relax, plus, there are plenty of scheduled activities to keep you busy. So no matter how you like to vacation, you can find it here. Get the Palladium app for a list of daily activities (this list can also be sent to you daily via What’s App from your butler upon request.) Food: Excellent! Such variety and quality! There are so many restaurants at the resort, but reservations are required for dinner (not breakfast or lunch). I’m guessing Covid or the recent fire (June 2021) was the reason some were closed, but we still found plenty of variety and ate somewhere different for dinner almost every day of our 10-day trip. I was nervous about the drinking water in Mexico, but everything is filtered. You don’t have to worry about the water at restaurants, the ice, the mixed drinks, or anything! (Obviously, just don’t drink the sink water.) Pools: The infinity pool is where it’s at. You can see the Caribbean Sea from the pool and chairs. There are 2 great pool bars here. Some were closed (guessing because of Covid, but we only wanted to spend time at the infinity pool, that’s how nice it is!) Beach: We came at a time when there is a lot of seaweed on the beach, in the water, and lining the coast. The water was not swimmable due to the massive amounts of seaweed, but that is nobody’s fault at all! We didn’t miss it much since the pools were terrific! The sand was nice for walks, though! Room: Spotless! So clean and I’m picky when it comes to hotels. Nothing was skeevy and the housekeeping was excellent and refilled everything as we used it including the coffee pods and mugs each day. We always had what we needed. We had the Junior Suite with the private pool and it was a great choice for quick evening dips. Worth the extra money! Spa: We were offered a couples spa treatment from the spa salesman connected to the resort, and we took him up on it. The massage, facial, and body exfoliation were amazing! Plus, the hydro massage area is a must do (and it’s included with any spa service). Resort: It was super big, but most things are within walking distance. The resort is actually made up of four sections (White Sands, Kantenah, Colonial, and TRS. Guests staying at TRS are the only guests that have access to everything at the resort.) There are also golf carts with drivers to take you around. You can usually catch them en route or request a ride from your butler. Diago was the best driver we had, and picked us up multiple times one day, chatting with us each time like an old friend, and so happy to help! Butlers: They were so helpful and really cared about your experience! Martha (our AM butler) was super sweet and helped us make reservations. Reyna (our PM butler) was incredible!! We loved her! She always remembered where you were coming from and asked how it was, she set up our room with rose pedals, and took care of anything we needed. You could tell she was genuinely happy to help. Staff: The People of Palladium (POP) staff was so fun! They held daily activities by the infinity pool and in the lobby. Benjamin was the best! He was so happy to see us each day and went out of his way, along with Raul, to find us and offer us a massage from the spa for participating in activities throughout the week. Diana was so sweet and fun as well. She put on great classes! The three of them really cared about you having a good time! Entertainment: Each night, there were performances of all kinds in the lobby, each one better than the next. There was always something to go see or participate in. There’s a DJ most nights after the shows. Chic Cabaret is a must-do- the show and food were both spectacular! There were also included activities like paddleboarding, kayaking, archery, and more. The sports center is a great place to spend some active time. Gym: Super clean and large! Great for the rainy days. Room Service: 24-hour room service was cool and the food was good, but took 2-3 hours at times (1 hour minimum wait). That was really the only semi-negative thing we experienced. But it’s understandable because they were so busy and the resort is huge. Excursions: I was hesitant to leave the resort due to safety concerns, but we used the vendor right in the lobby to book a dolphin excursion. We had no problems at all and felt safe the whole time! Paying: We discovered that USD are okay, and sometimes preferred for tipping. We did not bring or need Pesos. Overall: The entire place made you feel like royalty. We were treated so kindly by everyone! The best vacation ever! The attention to detail is insane, they are on top of everything! I was so blown away by the dedication of the staff!! Things to know: always make reservations, be flexible as activities do get canceled due to weather or other circumstances, and lastly, June seems to be seaweed season. Note: When you go, tip the staff generously! They work soooo hard to make your stay amazing and deserve it! We can’t wait to go back. The trip to TRS Yucatan Hotel was worth every single penny!
