The preeminent well-being destination in the world, Hacienda AltaGracia, Auberge Resorts Collection, encourages guests to discover their personal peace or exhilaration. Serving to both stimulate and relax, this undisturbed Costa Rican mountain retreat is a haven for authentic wellness, culinary, adventure and cultural experiences. The individual accommodations, each a luxurious, freestanding casita, seemingly float amongst the verdant and biodiverse property. Featuring a coffee farm, equine stables, vegetable gardens and wild rainforest, the pure spirit of this land - and it's people - will be felt throughout your stay. Tucked away from the frenzy of modern life in the foothills of the Talamanca Mountains, the surrounding peace and seclusion invite you to move fast – or slow, explore the land – or your inner-self, and connect with our community – or yours. The onsite wellness center, THE WELL, utilizes holistic practices to restore and rejuvenate, incorporating native ingredients and therapies that integrate Eastern and Western methodologies for effective and innovative rituals. Through an exploratory culinary program, food is rediscovered as adventure and well-being. Many experiences maximize the incredible natural surroundings and encourage new and unexpected exploits. Adventures take guests through the mountains on horseback, to the tops of the highest trees above the forest canopy or to the far corners of Costa Rica on bespoke day excursions. Truly transformational, a visit to Hacienda AltaGracia is an invitation to disconnect, to reconnect. You will leave here feeling rejuvenated and full - in mind, body and soul.

cannot say enough great things about this resort. the entire experience was perfection. from the food, service, activities, accommodations, views, grounds, etc. everything was beyond what we could have imagined. this is truly a dream vacation. highly recommend for people who enjoy a more quiet, wellness focused vacation. we went in May 2022 and although that is the start of rainy season and it rained quite a bit (4 hours a day) that did not get in the way of anything. rain or shine this resort has everything you need or want. definitely recommend booking a casita with a private plunge pool - that was on of our favourite parts.

Alta Gracia reached another level on service, comfort, details, facilities, and superior quality. The resort offers premium accommodations and highly devoted staff. The “compas” will always be there for you – on your phone or in person – and will take care of any possible need you may have. In fact, they will anticipate specific situations and will go the extra 10 miles to fulfill expectations! Everyone, from the golf carts drivers/guides/hosts, to the restaurants & bars crew, will always show their best smile, attitude and personality to make your stay memorable. So many Costa Rican young people ready to bring special enhancement to the activities, spa, meals and your time in your wonderful Casita. The food is out of this world, as well as the service to make feel like royalty indeed! The SPA is – or must be – a sightseeing opportunity. Don’t miss it! Nature is amazing in the area and my favorite, the natural trail though the forests around the premises! Hanging bridges, fun creeks crossing, nature exploration and fantastic discoveries! The views from our Casita were awesome and welcoming the sunlight early in the morning with the best cup of coffee, was a real treat.

My wife and I had a really special experience at Hacienda AltaGracia. We were on the property for my wife's birthday and everyone contributed to make our stay perfect. The entire staff on the property knew it was my wife's birthday trip and all went above and beyond to spoil her! Our casita and view were gorgeous and very private. All of the service was attentive, timely/ responsive and overall exceptional. The activities were really transformative, including THE WELL, sound bath, river bath, spa treatments, yoga, meditation, and astrology meets astronomy. My wife and I came to this property to disconnect, relax, reset and recharge - and we felt completely reinvigorated and reenergized when we left (although wish we had stayed longer). The food was delicious and fresh; the chefs were incredibly talented and also accommodating to preferences and dietary restrictions.

My family of seven (ages 5 to 75) just returned from Hacienda Alta Gracia - We have traveled all over the world but this resort is a treasure everyone should have the opportunity to visit. It was the most beautifully appointed resort - from the location, plantings, interior and exterior scapes - it was extremely well planned with the most luxurious ambience, offering a myriad of activities for all ages. This special, unique and spectacularly appointed resort was highlighted with the most exemplary staff we have ever known. They were friendly, knowledgeable, accessible, helpful and warm-hearted from the Management to the Compa to our drivers, guides, housekeeping staff and waitstaff. To say it was most impressive is simply an understatement. What awaits the guests who are lucky enough to visit will be an unforgettable experience.

This resort is a gem in a gorgeous non-touristy area of Costa Rica. It's perfect for anyone who is interested in wellness & adventure. There is lots to do. The activity menu is diverse and there's something for everyone. The staff is excellent. Among the best I've ever experienced. The rooms are beautiful with amazing views all around. I highly recommend this amazing 5* resort!!

This place is heaven on earth. The staff is so warm and anticipates your drink, your coffee or where you want to sit. It’s like a 6 star family summer camp. There’s great day trips - even the beach or Manuel Antonio Park isn’t too far. We visited a farm, did mountain biking, tree climbing and our family would go back in heartbeat. Worth every penny. Seriously.

The resort in every category rates exceptional. The rooms and amenities fabulous, the food fantastic, the available experiences outstanding. However, the service surpassed all of the above. We were recognized by our names, the overall friendliness was indeed genuine. While I looked forward to practice my Spanish language skills all of the staff spoke more than adequate English. Can't wait to go again.

A nice property in the hills of Costa Rica. Arrived by private plane from Osa Peninsula. The aiport is in a valley, surrounded by hills, very short runway, great landing, great takeof, nice, scenic flight. 45 minutes drive to the property. Nice property, extensive, very clean. Wonderfully decorated, new and clean casitas. Very comfortable. You have a kettle in the room, a french press and fresh, organic coffee from nearby for making fresh coffee in the mornings, good matress, good pilows, nice, big bathroom. Nice breakfast menu, a la carte. Fresh juicy fruits every morning, a lot of healthy options available, nice open kitchen with the staff on display. Nice view from the breakfast terrace. Every casita comes with a butler (compa they call them here). They try their best to satisfy everyone’s needs. For example, we came with kids, all preety active, wanted zip lining and buggy tours but they didn’t have any kind of activities like this on offer, they found external ones and we enjoyed a bit of nice addrenaline filled activities during our stay. The spa looks very nice, the treatments are very expensive and I don’t understand why. They are no different than in other hotels but much more expensive. You can see bunnies in the evenings. Nice manicured nature all over the property. The place is somewhat hilly and they take you with buggies everywhere. They could add one more restaurant, specially during lunch they should add one more because the pool restaurant is the only one available and it get’s boring eating the same thing for more days in a row. It rains every day after lunch so outdoor activities can be done mostly during mornings. Lovely stables and 40 amazing horses to ride. I would recomend a visit while in Costa Rica.
