The Management of the Regent Porto Montenegro has been nothing less than fabulous. During a difficult time they allowed us much needed flexibility on our booking. We are appreciative and will be back many times in the future! Thank you!
This is a truly stunning hotel in a fantastic location. Staff were all so friendly and helpful- pool was gorgeous and plenty of sun beds. We were in half-board and the food was wonderful but the half board menu might have had a few more choices as we were there for a week. Overall though this place is so special and this is probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in.
I have quite exacting standards when it comes to hotels and I can honestly say that this is probably the best hotel in Europe that I have had the pleasure of staying at. It is absolutely peerless. The service, levels of cleanliness, quality of amenities and the food and beverages were all superb. From the moment we arrived until the moment they waved us off in an airport taxi (which the concierge team arranged for us), we were treated as valued guests. We had a sea view room in the Venezia wing which was very spacious and beautifully decorated. The view from our terrace was amazing. Although opened in 2014, the hotel shows no signs of wear and tear. You should dedicate at least one full day to enjoy the hotel’s offering. We both had spa treatments on the day of our arrival which were wonderful and very professionally done. My masseuse, Milos, was brilliant. As it was July when we visited we used the outdoor pools rather than the indoor one, but I did go and look at the indoor pool and I imagine it is wonderful out of season. There were ample sun loungers at the main swimming pool and they were comfortable to lie on. The only disappointment was that there was the usual problem of people reserving loungers with towels from very early in the morning. We went up there one morning after breakfast at around 9am just to take a look and already at that time around 2/3 of the loungers had towels and other personal effects on them. The owners of many of those belongings didn’t turn up to use the loungers until mid-afternoon... It is very selfish but unfortunately a universal problem at hotels across Europe, even 5* ones. Food and drink, including room service, was excellent. We had a delicious lunch at the pool bar one day. Don’t underestimate the portion sizes which are very generous. We ended up ordering way too much food between two of us! G&Ts were expertly garnished and the range of drinks on offer was good. The service at breakfast was very attentive and the food very high quality. This really is a fantastic hotel and we are already hoping to return later in the year for an autumn break.…
We booked one night at Regent in Porto Montenegro before moving to Kotor. Starting with the positives. The hotel is in a prime location, facilities are good and presents itself as a true five star hotel. The service however is lacking. Arrival and check in was smooth. However upon visiting the outdoor pool, we were informed by the pool staff that they had no clean towels and we would have to wait 30-45 mins for fresh towels (!?). No effort made to source any. I went to the Spa and asked if they had any. Again, advised there were no fresh towels. I queried if there really were no clean towels in the hotel.. to which the staff shrugged. I then had to go to the front reception who, after a few minutes, were able to source some. Not a great start but fine. There are worst things in the world so shrugged this off. A few hours later, we returned to our room and found incredibly loud crying from the room immediately next to us. It sounded like a family with young children which was not a problem for us, but we were mindful that we would want a decent night sleep. I approached reception and asked if it would be possible to move rooms. The receptionist escalated to the hotel manager (I thought the request was reasonable and and thought an escalation was unnecessary, but guess its procedure?) and the manager informed me that if I wanted to switch rooms, I would have to pay for an upgrade? I understand that the hotel is near capacity and a similar room was not available but with the rate of the room guests pay, the minimum expectation is that we are able to get a good night sleep. After back and forth with the manager, he agreed to let us switch rooms without having to pay for an additional charge. Credit where it is due, both issues were eventually resolved and the manager was apologetic towards the end, but the reactions I was getting from staff when raising any issue was like it was too much trouble for anyone to fix - issues that I felt were very basic, reasonable and easily resolvable. On a positive, breakfast staff were very nice and super helpful. Lovely hotel. Poor service.…
The hotel, it’s location and the service are amazing, however there were a couple of minor inconveniences. Firstly the plug sockets in the room were in very awkward places, also the sockets on our desk did not work. Secondly the pool area was very noisy with lots of children - not ideal when you want to relax. Breakfast was great with both buffet and a la carte options. We also ate in the Murano restaurant in the evening, there is an offer for 25% off between 7 and 8pm, the food and setting were great. Prices in the hotel and the area in general are reasonable. Would definitely recommend this hotel and these minor issues would not stop us from returning.
Year after year this destination has been improving its standards of accommodation, shops, restaurants and hospitality level is now is absolutely top. We’ve been coming here for fife years now and every year is better - particularly the Regent Hotel with its professional and super friendly staff makes short holidays truly fun.
In February 2022 we celebrated a special birthday surprise at this hotel and every single member of the team is responsible for the truly outstanding experience we had in every aspect. The reception staff (especially the lady you greeted us upon arrival who has a little boy just like us) provides top service with a smile, the breakfast is delicious and the rooms and cleaning standard are truly five star. We used the swimming pool also for some relaxation after touring the country during the day and the facilities were very much looked after. We used this fantastic hotel as a base while hiking and exploring this gem of a country with Miro and Sons tour guides who were sincerely amazing and we would recommend that you do the same! Thank you for everything to the entire team and apologies we can’t mention individual names as we lost the piece of paper where we noted all the amazing members of the team that helped our birthday celebration feel so special. HVALA!…
This is a first class hotel that was absolutely perfect and hard to fault in any way. The entire place is classy and has an air of luxury about it. Brilliant room, wonderful breakfast, great service and excellent location. The pools and spa are also very nice.
Stayed a week in a sea view suite, gorgeous. The breakfast had great choice also my wife was very taken by there scrambled eggs with truffles, very nice. Had dinner in the Murano restaurant which was expensive but first class, the best meal that we had during our time in Tivat. Great staff, friendly and always happy to help. We will be back.
Stayed a week, flying from London to dubrovnik then a 1 hour car transfer. Staff all spot on with helpful service, the hotel is stunning in all respects and set in a beautiful waterfront marina location surrounded with green hills. Katerin on reception noted our IHG Diamond Elite status and upgraded us to a seaview junior suite in the older Venetian wing. Murano restaurant service and food excellent, the cocktail bar also. Plenty of decent restaurants and bars within walking distance in the bustling marina. The interesting historic towns of Kotor and Perest are a short drive and some interesting sites can be visited by boat. The pool area is fabulous, for sunbathing, kids to splash around, adults to do 50m lengths and always attentive staff. The gym is a little small for a hotel of this size, starting to feel this way if more the two people are working out but it was not usually busy. Overall I would recommend this for a holiday hotel and have confidence the manager wants to ensure guests are happy with their stay. …
