At the conclusion of our touring Slovenia, Croatia, and Montenegro, we both concluded that our favorite hotel was Regent Porto Montenegro. Everything was perfect. The reception desk welcoming and helpful on several occasions. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, with a nice view of the garden and harbor. We combined the ample buffet and varied menu at breakfast for a wonderful start to each day. The truffle eggs became an instant favorite of mine. My spouse took advantage of the spa and had a most relaxing massage. Our dinner at the hotel's Murano Restaurant was truly memorable. Our server Ivanna was friendly, attentive, and downright charming. The sole and sea bass steak were the best seafood we had on our trip. I can't say enough good things about Regent Porto Montenegro!

As the title says - World Class. From the moment of our arrival with pleasant welcome from the bellman and his assistance with luggage , to check in process with Gordana which went smooth. Very professional and polite, and our room was ready at 10am. She provided all necessary information regarding the hotel and our reservation, and check in experience was enhanced with short hotel tour with concierge - Goran. He provided additional information about the hotel and showed us our room. The room was very spacious and bright , equipped with everything a guest may need during their stay. Beautiful balcony with seaview was a perfect place to enjoy morning coffee. Housekeeping staff was extremely efficient and they showed great level of anticipation. IHG takes seriously their level of cleanliness at all areas. Breakfast was included in our reservation and a wide choice of options on their a la carte menu was something we definitely needed for a start of our day. Beautiful terrace of Murano restaurant, and extremely high level of service by Jovana and Rastko and other restaurant staff (unfortunately I could not catch all names) is something which I am truly impressed with. Finally , their pool club is a perfect place to relax and enjoy. It wasn't crowded and bar staff was very helpful. There is absolutely no negative aspect of our stay, I am only sorry that I could not catch all names as every single person in this hotel provides luxury experience to their guests. I don't write reviews on regular basis, but I had to make sure to do it this time. And I am saying this as a person who used to work in different high class hotels for several years. We will definitely be back!

We have just had an unforgettable weekend experience at the Regent Porto Montenegro! The service was exceptional, our deluxe sea view room was beautiful, the food was cooked to perfection and the pool and spa facilities were spotless. There is currently a 50% offer bookable on the website and you certainly get good value for money. Every little touch is perfect. This Hotel is pure luxury.

Also would like to mention that to top off our weekend we booked a speedboat trip with Andre of Polar Star AF who are located right by The Clubhouse as you enter the pedestrian area of Porto Montenegro along Tivat promenade. He took us as far as Croatian waters visiting Perast, Lady Of The Rocks, The Submarine Cave, The Blue Cave and other beautiful sights. The speedboat was just 2 years old, sterile and spotless. Andre is Tivat born and bred and speaks perfect English. He is very knowledgeable about the area and even showed us the sights where they are building the new One and Only Resort, Europe’s first and the new Ritz Carlton. This made the weekend complete! If you are at the Regent Porto Montenegro then do take a trip with Andre to make your stay one to remember like ours!

I have visited Tivat and Porto Montenegro area many times, but I have never stayed at this Magnificent Hotel. Upon arrival the valet Goran took extra great care to Warmly welcome us and helped us with our bags to Reception. At the Reception Gordana was amazing she gave us a very warm welcome, she really went all the way explaining to us everything we needed to know about what hotel has to offer and she even gave us wonderful upgrade and took us to our room. This hotel is probably the best hotel in Montenegro and its got great rooms, food, pools, free parking, great wifi, shopping around port area and very professional Staff. I have been to a lot of IHG hotels and Regent Porto Montenegro is on the top 5 Hotels I have stayed at. There are two pools , one large one with many pools in one area which works to 7pm and another one that is smaller that works till 9 pm. Would have been nice if the water was a bit warmer in all the pools, but all in all they are very clean and have nice views of the port where beautiful yachts are parked. The pool boys Bodin and Milos are always walking around seeing to it that guests have fresh towels, drinks and food. At the Library Bar area Ivo has a great understanding of drinks and can recommend you some of the finest drinks in the well stocked bar. The housekeepers visit the room twice a day and see to it that you always have fresh towels, extra water bottles, and all necessary toiletries. The service is truly exceptional and I would definitely Recommend this hotel to anyone and I will definitely come back to stay there again. Keep up the great work Management two thumbs up.

The hotel, location, most of the staff and food were all excellent.

However I never been a guest at a hotel and been asked to pay a service charge for drinks. Unfortunately the staff at the Onyx were not that good and genuinely didn’t deserve a tip. The drinks we ordered every night for 7 nights were more expensive than local bars so that should be a sufficient mark up. On only two occasions did the staff offer to bring the drinks to our table, sadly on both occasions they got the order wrong and one took 10 minutes to come, despite the bar being deserted. How hard is it to deliver two gins and a tonic ?

Another issue is that my wife doesn’t really drink wine so, on the one occasion I bought a bottle at the table for dinner, I was pleased that the waiter gave me my corked bottle to take away. Normally the hotel keeps it for you but I thought nothing of this till I brought it down to the Dining Room two days later to be told that I wasn’t allowed to drink it. It was “Hotel policy” not to allow previously opened bottles back into the Dining Room. Really ???

Finally what is on offer at the buffet breakfast is good but the room where the food id displayed and the selection on offer is far too small for the number of rooms within the hotel.

I have never experienced any of the above before and we have travelled a fair bit of the world staying at 5 star hotels.

The above, in my opinion, says a lot about the owners of the hotel, and trying to keep profits high at the guest’s expense.

I have quite exacting standards when it comes to hotels and I can honestly say that this is probably the best hotel in Europe that I have had the pleasure of staying at. It is absolutely peerless.

The service, levels of cleanliness, quality of amenities and the food and beverages were all superb. From the moment we arrived until the moment they waved us off in an airport taxi (which the concierge team arranged for us), we were treated as valued guests.

We had a sea view room in the Venezia wing which was very spacious and beautifully decorated. The view from our terrace was amazing. Although opened in 2014, the hotel shows no signs of wear and tear.

You should dedicate at least one full day to enjoy the hotel’s offering. We both had spa treatments on the day of our arrival which were wonderful and very professionally done. My masseuse, Milos, was brilliant. As it was July when we visited we used the outdoor pools rather than the indoor one, but I did go and look at the indoor pool and I imagine it is wonderful out of season. There were ample sun loungers at the main swimming pool and they were comfortable to lie on. The only disappointment was that there was the usual problem of people reserving loungers with towels from very early in the morning. We went up there one morning after breakfast at around 9am just to take a look and already at that time around 2/3 of the loungers had towels and other personal effects on them. The owners of many of those belongings didn’t turn up to use the loungers until mid-afternoon... It is very selfish but unfortunately a universal problem at hotels across Europe, even 5* ones.

Food and drink, including room service, was excellent. We had a delicious lunch at the pool bar one day. Don’t underestimate the portion sizes which are very generous. We ended up ordering way too much food between two of us! G&Ts were expertly garnished and the range of drinks on offer was good. The service at breakfast was very attentive and the food very high quality.

This really is a fantastic hotel and we are already hoping to return later in the year for an autumn break.

For the Regent Hotel in Porto Montenegro I can say that it is a great experience for the money invested. The last minute reservation was, at the end of July 2020, and I received a price of 65.00 euros per night with breakfast. It has an excellent SPA center, a room overlooking the marina. Great service. All recommendations

The most amazing hotel. We visited this hotel on a deal (we're not quite as well off as the typical guest to this hotel) and we were a little worried we might feel a bit out of place or a little judged by staff here. This couldn't have been further from the case. The hotel was beautiful, stunningly designed and absolutely spotless.

The entrance and lobby was welcoming, the spa and pools were lovely also. I would suggest they explained a little more about the spa in the guest services booklet, as it was a little confusing if you could just go through or not, and the directions to the spa itself not so straight forward. We had a massage each which was lovely and the spa staff were amazing, and gave me the best back massage to date. The indoor Jacuzzi, Hammam, Steam rooms and sauna were great, but the rainfall shower seemed a little faulty and the indoor pool was very cold, but quite nice when you've just been in the Sauna for a bit too long!

The room was one of the many highlights of the trip. We stayed in a deluxe double room in the main Venetian building, which was designed beautifully, had a small balcony, HUGE bed and a large bathroom. The Pillows are to die for, and if you disagree you can select 5 different types of pillows from reception!! The bathroom hosts loads of extra amenities, including luxury hair care products, body wash and even bath salts. Two robes and slippers which is a lovely added extra.

The absolute highlight has to be the Murano restaurant attached to the hotel. This is where we had breakfast each morning which was to die for. The truffle eggs single handedly made the trip, and the selection from the buffet was great. The fresh juice also was great, with a more varied selection than most. Each night we ate at the resturant, which is definitely not something we would typically do. The food was impeccable, and the service was outstanding. We both regret not getting the name of the male waiter who served us all three nights, as we'd love to make mention to him. He was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable and really did make our evening meals some of the best we've had. The filet mignon was to die for, with the truffle fries it was absolutely perfect. The tuna steak was also amazing and very well cooked by the chefs. On our last night we had the cheese fondue and a steak to share, which was easily accommodated for by the waiter who made the whole meal feel so special and tailored to our preferences. The deserts were equally amazing and they tailored to gluten free really well too.

Overall this was an incredible stay, even if you are thinking you may be slightly out of place. We arrived behind a Bentley in our hired Renault Clio but I can genuinely say we were treat like royalty by all those working at the hotel. If I could give more stars I would, and we'd kill to come back - better start saving!!

Stayed for 3 nights at the end of September as a luxury end of year getaway, this hotel does not disappoint in either quality or oppulance. The hotel is only a 10 minute drive from Tivat airport (which is very small so be warned). It rests on the port overlooking beautiful waters and billionaire oligarch yachts.

The entire area is new, with Riverside harbour boardwalks which stretches north of the hotel all the way south....and expanding. Here in the well guarded and security concious area (owing to its clientele) and importantly it's luxury shops. There isnt a store lower than a Rolex shop so that should give you an idea. No end of restaurants and bars for pleasant evening walks.

The staff are fantastic and truly attentive, check in was easy and no obligatory credit card taking either which was refreshing. The hotel is actually several buildings, so to our room we had to elevator up 1 floor, go across the "bridge of sighs" to get to the next building, then up four floors.

This is important as the spa and gym are in that one, and across the pool is another building which along with the residential building behind is all part of the same hotel.

The room was enormous with a clever double door mirrored bathroom with double sinks and the largest rainfall shower I've ever used. Wardrobe with safe and mini bar and tea/coffee station. Large bed with yet more wardrobe space either side and TV with info channel and desk. Hairdryer and water and High end toiletries are included.

The pool area is large with several sections depending on preferences and a very much approved half hour towel slot, meaning no sunbed hoggers allowed.

Breakfast is varied and caters for all dietary needs with a menu for orders also.

From poolside to restaurant I can't praise this hotel enough for it's high end delivery of customer service and just look at the photos and let them do the talking...

When booking the hotel, we were sold by the views in the photos and we were not disappointed. The hotel is set overlooking the port but the mountain background is stunning. We were not able to book a sea view but had a lovely room with views of the mountain. On arrival in our room, we were greeted by wine and macarons and on the morning of our anniversary, a bottle of Prosecco and delicious cake were brought to our table (before the cake was taken to our room for later). The staff cannot be more helpful and concierge team are always willing to help. They organised a transfer to the airport when we realised that the pre booked transfer would not leave enough time got the boarder crossing to Dubrovnik. When travelling in the summer, it is definitely worth being aware of the potential for long queues to cross the boarder between Croatia and Montenegro. The hotel offers 5 star touches and it was always lovely to be greeted by a treat with their turn down service. Artisan chocolates and other surprises met us each evening. This is a great location and you are surrounded by different restaurants, which compliment those available in the hotel. The team around the pool are helpful and efficient. I would never tire of the views in Porto Montenegro and would love to return in the future.

Does anyone know if the hotel has a peloton?

Dear lauren41, Please note we offer only breakfast as part of the booking. Lunches and dinners are available a la carte. We don't have heating on our outside pools. Kotor and Budva are close by - it takes about 15 minutes to reach Kotor and about 30 minutes to Budva. Yes! But if you want taxis, better off just going to local taxi rank and negotiating. Concierges are excellent and speak good english.
