We spent nine nights in a Honeymoon Bure on Nukubati in February 2020 and were the only guests during our entire stay. We snorkeled, hiked, kayaked, star-gazed, relaxed and ate. We loved our private sand-bar picnic and the snorkeling was wonderful. The food was always fresh and delicious. I cannot say enough about all the Nukubati crew who treated us like family. Everyone was friendly, helpful, informative and truely made our vacation even more special. A big thank you to all!
This hotel is not fit for purpose in the Fiji summer. We paid nearly £3k for a premier room which was unbearably hot day and night. We ran 4 fans in the room 24/7 and they were old noisy fans. We were always covered in sweat. This hotel has no A/C. We could not even cool off by swimming for much of the day because when the tide is out it’s not possible. There is no pool. I am sad to write this because the staff are lovely and certain events were great, the village church service was a joy and The Great Sea Reef amazing, but non of these things compensated for the discomfort in our room. A few minor annoyances, no hot water on 2 mornings ( human error), a mosquito trap area between the bedroom and the bathroom, terrible internet and then only by the office, the bathroom fan stopped working for the last 24 hours making the bathroom an oven and finally the only fish was ‘Spanish Mackerel’ and this became boring. This resort is in a superb remote and natural location and I accept that is a challenge but it should not be sold as a luxury resort and charged as such because it is not. We moved on to Savasi island resort which I will review later, but for a very similar cost the comparison is ridiculous.…
Small family owned and operated resort. Very genuine Fiji islands experience, which is to say friendly, laid back and focused on the guests. Premium food featuring locally grown and caught ingredients. You won’t find better fish dishes anywhere. Ask to snorkel the Channel Island site.
I met up with friends for 5 days of fishing at Nukubati. The smile never left my face from the moment I arrived. Absolutely wonderful staff, fishing locations that were breathtakingly beautiful, pristine coral reefs, excellent guiding, delicious meals. Vinaka Gordon and Gloria and all your lovely staff. If I could give you more than 5 stars on Trip Advisor I would.
This place is perfect for a couple looking to relax!! Excellent food, accommodation and facilities. Great happy staff who will do anything to make sure your day is memorable. I had my birthday celebrations here and they did me a cake and all sung!! Fishing was great I caught a 10kg Spanish Mackerel and I knew nothing about fishing!! About to go diving now. The resort looks after the local community as well - very important!!
Have you ever been to a place where you immediately felt comfortable, relaxed and at peace? A place where you can choose to "do your own thing" or interact with other people from around the world? A place which offers so much natural splendor that you're awestruck? This is Nukubati Private Island Resort. It is an amazing, welcoming and peaceful place. My wife and I just experienced 5 nights on Nukubati Island as part of our 20th anniversary trip to Fiji. The people and the culture are truly exceptional. We enjoyed a day "stranded" on a small deserted sandbar/island, snorkeled, visited a local village and experienced a traditional Fijian barbeque. We don't enjoy seafood much (I know, hard to travel to Fiji if you don't like seafood), but the staff planned for our arrival and offered delicious non-seafood options for us. They even made an outstanding pizza one day! In the evenings, couples gathered in the main pavilion and enjoyed some beverages while talking about whatever came up. The owners are very generous people and the staff members were delightful. If you're considering Nukubati, stop thinking about it. Just do it. My wife and I will cherish our memories of Nukubati Island for the rest of our lives. We even hope to take our teenage daughters there in the next few years. Bula!!…
Incredible. We've been to fancy places, nice places, remote places; yet staying at Nukubati was a new completely unique and amazing experience. R&R we didn't know we needed. If you want permanent WiFi, touristy distractions and a huge glitzy resort, cable TV and technology, this may not be the place for you. However, if you want pristine beach and location, escapism from day to day, tranquility, relaxation, sunset cocktails, an untouched, clean, remote mini slice of paradise where time can slow and you can genuinely relax... Go! You won't be disappointed. The food alone: as fresh and delicious as you'll have anywhere, allfreshly sourced or caught. Make sure you have the soups! The Staff: welcoming, friendly and ever polite. We even had the pleasure of meeting the owners and their family. Their beliefs on hospitality completely refreshing in todays age and we couldn't have felt more welcome or welcome back, with service that didn't finish, even after we checked out. Picnic on private island. Best snorkeling we've ever done. Naps. Food. Cocktails. Fresh air. An amazing, great, relaxing stay. Would go, and hopefully will go one day, back again. We spent a few days after our stay on the island at a very well known top tier 5 star resort on the mainland after... And whilst everything was very nice, new etc., we both wished we'd stayed at Nukubati!…
This is one of those places in the world that you never forget. It takes a little longer to get to than most resorts, but that is part of the beauty and romance. No crowds - in fact we were the only guests for part of our stay, but that did not diminish the service we received at all. Friendly, 5 star service around the clock, with food choices that must take incredible effort to achieve the high standard they set and meet. This is the most friendly place I have stayed, short of private homes. Family ownership brings in the Fijian community to all guests, who become part of the family - loved and cared for beyond what corporate service world. There is so many things to do ...... or not to do, as you desire.
We were taken to Nukubati by our dear family members and as soon as we arrived we were welcomed with big smiles, incredible surroundings, friendly people with huge hearts, unbelievable food and the most of out of this world setting and private island oasis. We have been to many places but nothing was quite like this gorgeous place! The food was so fresh and generous we were just inundated with choices - you really want for nothing on this island. We loved meeting Lara and Jenny - who told us great stories about the islands history and their families which made it even more special and close to the heart. We hiked, kayaked, fished (my mother caught two fish nearly three), swam, went on boats, read, exercised and just took it all in. The book collection was something else and really made the whole dining area Pavillon such a place of solitude. I will be back soon and I can not recommend this place enough. Thank you staff for such a lovely holiday - we feel refreshed beyond words! Lara, Jenny and Sarah so much love and thank you from our family to yours. Xx…
We loved Nukubati as the perfect honeymoon destination. Fijian hospitality could not get any better and the location is simply stunning. Activities can be arranged as you want, you can dine at a time you choose. We loved the private beach picnic and the day spent snorkelling the Great Sea Reef. We look forward to returning here one day.
