This was by far our favourite accomodation during our three week trip of Yucatan (Mexico) & Belize. The lodge is beautifully located, atop a hill overlooking the lazily flowing Mopan river. The grounds are wonderful: just the right balance between the "encroaching" rain forest and a tastefully kept garden running down to the river bank. You can hear all kinds of wildlife around (especially during dawn and dusk), including howler monkeys in the distance. During our stay, we spotted hummingbirds, tucans, all sorts of other exotic birds and the inevitable iguanas and other lizards, as well as plenty of butterflies. However, we did not encounter any insects or spiders in our room or in the dining area. The cabins are stunning: spacious, nicely (and simply) furnished, with a terrace overlooking the valley or looking into the gardens. It is a wonderful experience to laze on the terrace and just let time and the river slowly float by while listening to the surrounding forest. The restaurant serves perfectly adequate fare – no haute cuisine, but absolutely worth looking forward to each day and reasonably priced. An extra word about service: everyone we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. All in all, Dream Valley is a special place. It's no all-out luxury resort, but it is a comfortable and very laid-back lodge where you'll wish you'd have booked more nights than you actually did.

We stayed at Dream Valley for 4 nights and loved every moment. Upon arrival we were greeted by Lucy and Tanya who helped make our stay incredible. The food was always tasty and the cabin was a dream. I was very happy to see a pool that was deep enough to get a good swim in before breakfast. At night the sounds of the jungle lulled you to sleep. With it being hot and humid, the AC was always welcoming in the cabin. In speaking with Sophie before our arrival, she was able to set up all of our excursions so we didn't have any worries for activities. We absolutely loved this resort and the staff who keep it operating. Looking forward to going back in the near future!

We will definitely return and spend a few more nights here. The accommodations and the grounds are amazing. We only had a few hours to explore because we had a short stay and tours during the day. We loved the pool, having the view of the river and the grounds are so beautiful and well maintained. Every staff member treated us great and helped with anything we needed including fresh coconuts in the pool. My husband got to get a little fishing in on the river and hooking onto a tarpon was the highlight for him. The trails were quite nice and we managed to enjoy one breakfast at the restaurant. Our room exceeded expectations and had everything we could need. The bathrooms are huge and beautifully done. I can't wait to return and have more time to spend just being in this beautiful space.

We arrived at Dream Valley in Teakettle, Belize on a Thursday afternoon and right away we were greeted with warm smiles and rum punches by our amazing host, Tiana. The Rooms We were registered promptly and shown to our rooms by Jenny, who took the time to give us a little tour. The rooms were beautifully rustic and we could actually smell the sweet cedar. The beds were inviting as were the bathrooms. Each room had a wrap around veranda and a hammock. We were stunned by the view of the Belmopan river winding through the rainforest. Meals After a warm shower we walked back to the main house across the elevated wooden walkway flanked by hedges of blooming hibiscus and bougainvillea flowers. The view was grand, dining tables on the veranda surrounded by beautiful grounds of flowers and fruit trees, a lazy river, iguana sunning on a tree branches and chorus of bird song and howler monkeys in the distance. We were in heaven The chef indulged us with amazing meals; well plated and yuuuummmmmyyyy. Turns out this would be every single day, for breakfast and dinner. It didn't matter where we went, we ate breakfast daily sampling the flavors of Belize and we always returned for a Dream Valley dinner. We were never disappointed. The chef meant business. Security We always felt so safe with the security detail on the property, We could see they took their work seriously and patrolled the property ensuring all was well. We walked around the property at night without a care in the world...well except for the wildlife we imagined we might encounter. The Staff With the arrival of more family members, we asked for a family suite and were promptly attended to. Tiana arranged for all our stuff to be moved while we went about the business of sight seeing. Unfortunately, we preferred the views we originally had so yet again Tiana made the move happen. Jenny again provided a tour for the new comers. Throughout our stay the staff was professional, friendly, and efficient. We wanted for nothing. to David (security) Jenny, Anna, Vivi, Chef, Lucy and the always delightful Tiana, thank you for making our vacation the best so far. We will definitely return to Dream Valley.

We stayed at Dream Valley for three nights and had an amazing time. Lucy, Tanya, and Carmen really went above and beyond. They helped answer all of our questions and made us feel so welcomed. The food (the Belizean breakfast!) and drinks on site were amazing, and the views were spectacular. The resort was a quick drive to San Ignacio and Xunantunich, which was very convenient. The wildlife was incredible: we heard howler monkeys every morning and night and saw different birds and iguanas throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend Dream Valley to anyone looking to have a beautiful stay in Belize with very friendly and welcoming hosts!

INCREDIBLE STAY! Tania. Lucy and the service staff were amazing and made us feel so welcomed. We were greeted, showed to our comfortable room and got to tour the resort. Unforgettable views, delicious food (the chef is awesome) and fantastic service. Also, two pools to cool down in. We felt very safe. A quick 20 minute drive from Belmopan. 10/10 recommend!!

Dream Valley resort is hands down one of the most beautiful and scenic places I’ve stayed. The staff went above and beyond expectations to ensure our trip was nothing less than a dream. The food and drinks were absolutely spectacular. The rooms were spacious and secluded. In the day you’re surrounded by the sound of birds and at night you can hear howling monkeys in the trees nearby. It’s truly a nature lovers paradise, there are trails and walkways to enjoy the scenic views, and multiple pools to relax in. You have the option to make your experience as adventure packed or relaxing as you’d like, the resort offers both and the staff is more than happy to offer suggestions to make your experience a great one. I visited with my friend mid December, we spent four nights at the resort and filled our days with jungle excursions and nights poolside/in the rooms jacuzzi. If you’re in Belize, this isn’t a resort you want to miss out on, I HIGHLY recommend.

My two friends and I went to Dream Valley for a relaxing vacation (3 nights in the jungle, 3 nights in San Pedro). We rented a car (can also take the local bus or schedule a ride) and drove an hour from Belize City to Dream Valley. We drove up to the site and were greeted with delicious drinks from Lucia along with her answering all of our questions. The first day there we organized a trip with Edbin and he was absolutely amazing, knew every sort of wildlife there was and was there with us the whole day along with being very patient. The food there is amazing -- Rendell and Rodwell were able to answer all our questions about the menu and make sure we were ready for the day at hand.

What we loved: the team was so helpful and friendly... the rooms were large and well appointed with King-sized beds... the pool was large and refreshing... meals were perfect for family dining (something for adults and our teen-aged children)... we were near our 3 adventure trips (ATM, cave tubing, horseback to Xunatunich ruins) and the resort provides transportation... the scenery is beautiful with tons of bougainvillea and hibiscus... and full of wildlife (howler monkeys in a near-by tree and amazing birds to watch). Also they had a kareoke party on Christmas night with a lot of complementary Jell-O shots which was a blast! Few items I would change: drink menu had suggestive names (but all were delicious)... the view of the resort from the river is postcard pretty, but the main building when you arrive isn’t... hot water ran out after two quick showers.
