Our 2nd visit to Daios Cove in recent years & sadly, we shan't be returning, Despite the hotel being a wonderful resort, exceptional staff, great service & good food - we felt it to be overrun with young children. It was impossible to sit around or swim in the pool for children everywhere - like an outdoor creche! The beach was slightly better but only slightly. It was impossible to sleep or fully relax on the beach due to screaming babies and children. The resort used to be quite an upmarket, peaceful place so we were left disappointed. However, we must mention the outstanding staff teams throughout - notably Maria & Alexandros in the main restaurant, alongside Katerina & Evi. Thankfully, the restaurants had 'adult only' zones but the resort is mixed. We had to move rooms due to excessive noise levels next door during our first week. None of the rooms appeared well sound-proofed. Our suggestion would be for the hotel to create an area of 'adult only rooms' too to ensure couples can be ensured a peaceful stay. Sad to say, we wouldn't return because of this which is a shame because in all other respects, it could be a 5-star resort.

Hotel's Favorite
Fantastically beautiful 14 days, we were allowed to enjoy the luxury offered with the hotel's own beach. The view from the bed to the sea, fantastic, including the sound of the sea! Extremely friendly and professional staff. We lived in a villa with a private pool and a very large terrace. We give 5 stars +. The corona hygiene measures were implemented perfectly. The spa with its offers was very good for us! We have enjoyed being in Greece at this time of year for years, especially on Crete. We stayed several times in other 5 star hotels. Daios Cove is by far the BEST! The offers of the included services are very good! Many thanks to the entire Davos Cove team! We'll be back soon.

We visited Daios Cove with my girlfriend in the beginning of May for 4 days during our 8-day stay and oh my – it was the ultimate experience for both of us. We were told it is the best hotel in Crete and words cannot describe how much we enjoyed our stay. We haven’t visited many 5-star hotels around the world, but Daios gave us a proper insight into what a 5-star hotel should be. The venue and the architecture itself is straight out from a design magazine. Everything the hotel boasts, has been thoroughly thought through creating this beautiful harmony which makes you feel as if you've landed in paradise itself. The food, especially in Taverna, was some of the best we’ve ever had – the lamb and the octopus were just to die for. The authentic tastes, technique, presentation and detail to serving were so on point, just like a 5-star hotel from our perspective should be. 1 grand aspect which made Daios an unforgettable experience was the Daios’ staff. From the first moment we walked to the gym, we were greeted by the world’s most generous and helpful personal trainer, Aristidis B, who shared insight into his knowledge and helped us bring attention to what we should do differently in our daily lives in order for our bodies to feel more relaxed and healthier. Aristidis really showed us what Greek hospitality and friendliness really is about. The same goes for Konstantinos P who really cared for our experience to be the best. He took us on a voyage with his golf caddy around the whole hotel, showing us the best views and sharing interesting stories about Greece and his really interesting life. Anyone who is still deciding whether to visit Daios or not, definitely do it because it is a complete experience anyone should experience in their lifetime!

We visited in October 2021 for our babymoon and loved every minute. Food and service top notch, never a shortage of seats around the pool or beach. Service was great and the staff all very friendly. Breakfast in the ocean restaurant was a personal favourite. We enjoyed the trip so much we are coming back in June this year with our 3 month old son and have also convinced the parent in laws and brother in laws family to also book. (We never return to the same hotels but loved our stay that much we are returning).

All staff incredibly helpful which really made the trip feel special. The hotel is ideal for travelling with a small baby - nothing is too much trouble and lots of baby equipment is provided. The rooms offer really helpful details such as loo o w level lighting and excellent travel cots for little ones. The Worldwide kids club / crèche is brilliant - we felt absolutely confident to leave our 7 month old for the first time and it gave us some time to really relax. Niki and Christina greeted our baby with a joyful smile every time e we went. It made our holiday - thank you!

Exceptional! From the moment one arrives at Daios Cove via private transfer in the beautiful island of Crete the first impression is so impressive, the hotel and resort are of an ultra modern design, the views over the cove and sea are stunning. We were welcomed by the friendly staff who proposed us a cocktail while checking in, while absorbing the beautiful view and incredible architechture of this exceptional resort. The resort is carved from the local stone, blending beautifully and ecologically into its stunning surroundings. We stayed in a Villa with a superb waterfront view and a private heated pool. Which also included 24 hour service, all inclusive meals and drinks. A start to a superb holiday with no thoughts other than relaxing, to enjoy the infinity pool overlooking the sea or the beach and it’s beautiful clear water, immaculate sand of small seashells, and naturally the beach service. The quality of the five star refined Ocean restaurent and the other incredible restaurants which offered local cuisine. The splendeur of the agean welcome could not have been better than that of Diaos Cove where every attention was made to our well being. We visited the fabulous Spa which had the state of art facilities including sauna, hamam and massage pool and profited from the excelllent gym facilities. The scuba diving training was very professional, the boat trip to scuba dive to see the magic of the aquatic life, as well as the fun of the jet ski was superb too. DAIOS COVE arranged a visit to see the wonders of the Knossos Palace and the Archelogocal Museum at Heraklion, not forgetting the attachment of the island of Crete to mythology we also visited the cave of Zeus. This is the most luxurious resort but above all it is the staff, their Cretan hospitality, and the « joie de vivre » which filled our holiday with special memories. We met some families and couples who had already chosen to return to DAIOS COVE and I know we are looking forward to returning again very soon.

My partner and I came for our babymoon and it was the perfect holiday. The staff couldn't be more helpful or friendly from the welcome team, to 24/7 room service, pool staff and in the restaurants. Each restaurant offers something different, all with the most delicious food. We were impressed with every single dish we ate. We mostly stayed on site as the pools and beach were just SO beautiful. My partner went jet skiing and we used the spa for a quick massage each. We took a taxi to Plaka (around 40 Euros) to visit the Island of Spinalonga. If I was being picky and had one comment it would be we booked a sea view room and got a partial view of the sea which was still beautiful. Although you never heard them there were lots of children and young families so it seemed the hotel offered something for everyone. We hope to be back one day and we really couldn't recommend this resort enough.

It is a really beautiful location, about an hour's drive from Heraklion airport. I had a Junior Suite with my own pool (Room 356), with a great view from the well furnished terrace and it was amazing. I chose the all -inclusive, Residents' Club option and would do so again. My preferred drinks were provided in the mini bar and topped up daily. The 4 restaurants all had fantastic food and the staff were lovely. My 2 experiences in the spa were also excellent. The beach has slightly gritty sand but it is such an easy few steps into the sea and that was a joy. No fights for the great sunbeds and umbrellas, pick shade or sun, towels are provided by the staff and drinks served throughout the day to your sunbed. I'm not generally a beach lover but spent loads of time on this one. Being on a hillside, steps are everywhere (although the funicular is pretty cool and very useful) but the steps should be taken into consideration. I totally recommend Daios Cove Resort and look forward to going again.

Beautiful hotel situated in a nice cove, curved up from local stone blending into nature so nicely. Rooms nicely decorated with all modern amenities. Unfortunately the main restaurant was closed and this caused chaos in the á la carte dining venues which seemed like a nursery/ jungle. The service was hit and miss... Highly inconsistent with some staff members that could barely speak English. (Staff at reception and guest office were sometimes rude and inefficient). Thankfully, an angel called Kostantino was there and was trying to save the day by resolving issues and turning situations around, mostly on his own. We observed the way he was interacting with customers. Calm, elegant, composed, always with a smile (even underneath his mask), seizing the moments taking photos of families with children, being constantly on the move. He seemed to have been the only one who actually cared to listen and deliver everything that the hotel (over)promises to deliver. I truly hope he gets the praise and recognition he deserves, as this resort, even though stunning, lacks staff who empathise and genuinely care. Thank you Kostantino, you truly managed to turn our initial nightmare into a nice holiday. We will be back, because of you and the 5 out of 5 is specifically for you.

The Daios Cope Luxury Resort & Villas was an excellent resort. Straight from the beginning, the location and property were very impressive. The buildings and rooms were absolute state-of-the-art and the staff remained at all time very professional and fully solution focused. Despite the fact that a lot of families with children were guests, the place was still extremely relaxing for us as a couple. The direct and private access to the beach and a private pool at our room made it an excellent stay. Also the three restaurants (Ocean, Taverna, Beach House) had a great selection of food and beverage offerings (quality was also very high). In particular, we‘d like to highlight the most personalized services carried out by the fitness personal trainer, Aristeidis Mparouxakis, and the Thai massage therapist, Mixalis Stavrakakis. Thank you for making our stay an amazing one. Σας ευχαριστώ, Nikoleta! We are very much looking forward to come back!
