My husband had eaten here before and could not stop talking about it. We stopped in for the night on our way to Warsaw and ate at their restaurant. They had some of the most amazing pierogis. The berry one was my favorite. Very pleasant staff as well. The rooms were small but very quaint.
Basic, but comfortable and clean rooms, free parking, decent breakfast and good Wi-Fi. 24-hour restaurant/reception and early breakfast possibility are additional bonuses for travelers. Overall – good value for money. P.S. One of us 4 didn’t like specific cleaning chemicals smell in the room.
My husband and I visited in Nov. arrived during dinner time. Went around the building back and forth a number of times trying to figure out the best entryway. We entered through the restaurant and asked a.... waitress? How to check in. She asked our name, gave us a key, and asked a bus boy to show us to our room. We had to go back and forth through the restaurant with our bags from the car. To get to the hotel rooms we actually had to walk through a large dinner party that was going on on the second floor. They had to scoot their chairs in so we could get through the door. The room. Small, not a big deal! What gives this review 2 stars instead of 3 or maybe even 4 is the fact that someone was performing.... maintenance? From about 1-4am! Someone was banging on something for hours! Off and on! It was horrible!! Will not stay here again!…
We were lucky to stumble onto this restaurant for lunch. The building is what attracted us. The decor inside was interesting with a baby carriage up in a corner, and flowers and pottery decorating the tables. We had a variety of food including pierogi, of course. Everyone enjoyed their food. When it came time for dessert, I decided to try their ice cream with fruit. I hit the jackpot with that choice. I had a scoop of vanilla and one of strawberry with fresh strawberries. It was delicious. I'd go back for that any time.
Simple food, good prices. I have been here with my family. I had pierogi and barszcz z krokietem. The taste was ok. I liked the typical porcelain from Bolesławiec. I'll be back for sure to try the żurek in bread
We stayed here on a Polish pottery shopping trip. Almost new guesthouse, the interior design was so cool. The outside was also decorated with old Polish farm machinery, really pieces of history. The room was clean with an air conditioning unit! We ate dinner and breakfast at the guest house, food was excellent. Many locals were dining at the restaurant.
I booked the room from their website, it was really easy, you can even choose the room. I asked a Polish speaking friend to phone and ask if everything with the booking was ok, as I did not received any answer, even to my mail. But it was ok. I ohoned again in the afternoon specifying the time of arrival (10 pm). "the room will be ready". The arrival was very very messy: we booked a triple, number 101, but they did not connected ourself to our bookig and they offered a triple just over a night party for a wedding. Once they understood, they moved us to the right room, but the third bed was not prepared. So they moved (again!) to the final destination. The people were in any case really helpful. At least one helpful boy (the washing dishes one) was great with a good english. The room was very small. It is ok if you stop for a short stay. The Gospoda was cosy and really nice and clean. The restaurant was open till late, and it is really handy if you travel. The breakfast was good, but it was based on savoury food (cheese, hams, eggs) with a very limited selection of cakes and breads and jams. But is was ok. Again, the people were helpful. I think it was a bad day, with the wedding party on, tha's why they were so disorganized. But on the overall it was a pleasant stay.…
My friends and I stayed here on a short pottery shopping trip. The hotel is adorable. I took so many pictures of just the inside. Super cute! There is a large parking lot and free Wifi which is great. When checking in, you go right up to the bar in the restaurant. We didn't notice anyone there the spoke english but we were able to figure out what was necessary. The rooms vary greatly. My friend and I booked two rooms and one was huge and the other was not and we paid the same price. Be sure to ask for the big corner room:). The hotel was clean and quiet. Breakfast was very basic and it took a while to figure out how to get a coffee but all in all, this place is great and super cheap. We enjoyed our stay!
A friend and I recently stayed for two nights at Gospoda Kruszyna. If you are looking for an elaborate hotel, where the staff cater to English speaking tourists - this is not the place for you. If you are okay with a simple, clean, and reasonably priced room and a restaurant that Polish people also eat in - this is a good option to check into. Check in was a little confusing - there is only one entrance to the building - through the restaurant on the first floor. We arrived during a busy dinner rush, and felt a little awkward walking into a full restaurant with all of our bags. The front desk clerk also happened to be the only waitress and bartender serving a full dining room when we arrived, so (understandably) it took a few minutes until she could give us our room key. Rooms are simple, but very adequate. Ours included two single beds (which I found to be comfortable) and a private bathroom. Most of the rooms were occupied while we were there, but we didn't experience any noise problems, with the exception of when the cooks were making bread in the kitchen below us. Breakfast (included in the price of the room) was also simple, but good.…
The building looked nice, has its style so we hoped to have a pleasant stay as the better hotels were all booked at that time. The recensions were also quite nice, except for the weekend stay when it's very noisy environment because of weddings' drunk guests who sleep there. Unfortunately, even if that was a night during the week, we were not able to sleep at all. The rooms are located at the 1st floor, over the restaurant. Around 3 a.m. 2 drunk men took a room next to ours, and it was the end: vulgar shouting, noise. We called reception (by the way there is no phone at the room) and were told to "be patient 'cause they will get to sleep soon". It's a pity that the stuff had no care for our needs. As we left in the morning they were literally offended by our dissatisfaction. Last thing: there is no wardrobe, not even a small shelf for clothes and the mattresses are very thin and uncomfortable for your back. There is also a very noisy street and at night you hear all the trucks passing near to your windows. We didn't eat there so cannot judge the restaurant.…
