The staff were wonderful about picking us up at the airport at no additional cost. They also offer all sorts of excursions at very reasonable prices. Poaz is usually a 6 hour tour and costs approximately $120.00 for 2 people. The tour also includes a typical lunch. While we were there, Poaz volcano had just erupted causing some damage to the surrounding area. Therefore, we were not able visit this last time. My hope for you is that the clean-up will have been completed prior to your arrival. Staff at Buena Vista might be able to make a special trip from 2 - 6pm for you. However, I would encourage you to go in the morning, if at all possible. That way, you and your daughter will not be rushed and can enjoy the sights better. Also, the fog tends to roll in during the early afternoon making the volcano less visible.
I hope this was helpful and I wish you and your daughter a lovely Costa Rican holiday:-)
