Your adventure begins here. Explore one of the last hidden secrets in the Caribbean! Combining comfort, fun and relaxation, Golden Rock Resort offers guests an authentic experience with a touch of adventure. 32 rooms and suites range from 40- 80 sq meters (130 - 260sqft) including modern finishes and unparalleled ocean views. Beyond the stunning accommodations, the hotel offers an oasis of immaculate gardens beaming with colorful flowers that allow guests to enjoy a relaxing stroll and explore the hotel’s 40-acres (16 hectares) of oceanfront land. The Island One of the last hidden secrets in the Caribbean, St. Eustatius, is a tiny Dutch island dominated by the Quill, a dormant volcano providing breathtaking hiking trails along the ocean, through local rainforest and around it’s crater. Offshore, St. Eustatius National Marine Park's dive sites are considered as one of the best five diving spots in the Caribbean offering a vast range of coral reefs and shipwrecks. Discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1493, the island was then claimed 22 times by different European empires over the following 150 years before remaining in Dutch territory. In 1756, the port town of Oranjestad was claimed as a free port with no customs duties, making it a major point for the transshipment of goods and earning the island the nickname of the ‘Golden Rock’. The island played an important role in the American War of Independence, and, in 1776, the dutch Commander of St Eustatius chose to salute the Andrew Doria merchant ship and thus recognize the independence for the newly formed American nation. Canons were ceremoniously fired from Fort Oranje to show respect to the visiting Americans. This historic event is now known as the ‘first salute.' The importance of the act was recognized 150 years later in 1939 by the visiting U.S. President F.D. Roosevelt, who had ancestral links to The Netherlands. Todays, St. Eustatius enjoys an open-air museum-like feel with artifacts from the 18th century weapon sales and colonial architecture.

Brand new spectacular resort in Statia, the staff is so welcoming and made me feel at home. Everything is designed so beautifully with care, the food is divine and the people are so caring. I loved the shuttle service and local tour (included in rate). Thank you Hildo, Shanarda and all of the staff for making my vacation so sweet! I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Statia, it's modern, elegant, relaxing, everything you need in a vacation !

Hotel's Favorite
The island of Statia was really a surprise - it is still an undiscovered spot in the Caribbean. It has the most protected historic monuments per square kilometer of the Caribbean, is full of charm and authenticity. The Quill volcano offered us some amazing hiking and there are over 30 dive spots near by. The Golden Rock Resort is the first luxury lifestyle resort on the Dutch island and all accommodations have ocean views! Breeze, the hotel's restaurant, served delicious food and drinks. I would definitely stay at this beautiful and friendly hotel again.

This is seriously one of the greatest hidden jewels of the Caribbean. Statia by itself is a treasure, but to add this level of resort to such an amazing little island is just too much to imagine. Being a long time employee of Ritz Carlton, I always compare properties and service to what I know. This is seriously a strong competitor without the brand name. The staff has obviously been treated to a high level of service training. Each and every person I came in contact with, was pleasant, on point and went above and beyond to make our stay one to remember. From the well appointed rooms to the meticulously cared for ground, every bit was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant "Breezes" is fantastic, for breakfast through dinner. The chef does an amazing job of combining local flavors and continental dishes. My lamb chops were some of the best I've ever had. The wine towers spaced around the room provide a beautiful frame to the ocean view beyond. The property is currently being expanded to include villas, cottages and some new pool and club areas. When finished, this will rival any luxury property in the Caribbean. But it's on Statia, with it's friendly, unrivaled charm. You really can't afford to miss this one while it's still semi-unknown.

Amazing hospitality and what the team has to offer at the resort! Me and my friend were impressed with Golden Rock Dive & Nature Resort, and was pleased with our stay. Everyone at the resort, the staff, was so nice to us. They made us very comfortable. We greatly appreciated the time and effort the team provided. Thanks to Carlos and the whole kitchen staff, for making our delicious breakfast, lunches, dinner and cocktails! The staff at the restaurant and throughout the hotel were all wonderful and very accommodating. Golden Rock Dive & Nature Resort is special and enjoyable. The amenities such as the gym and pool was great. We look forward staying at the resort again.

5 Stars! The staff was phenomenal! By the end of our 7 days it was like we were staying with friends! Room was clean, comfortable and very well appointed. We were well taken care of from the front office to poolside service to dining. We will certainly return to this hidden gem.

The island has this incredible resort which only opened in 09/2021. Unbelievable setting, 'paradise' landscaping and overlooking the Atlantic with St. Barth on the horizon. Great restaurant (Breeze) and the people are so friendly, going out their way making our stay nothing left to be desired. WOW!

Honestly I was not sure what to expect from this unknown little island but what followed our arrival was one pleasant surprise after another! Firstly the hotel is fresh, modern and welcome: our corner suite was super spacious with a full kitchen, living room and incredible ocean views! The food and ambience at Breeze was ideal morning through night. Though we did not have time to dive, the tour of downtown, the history of the island and its people made the trip complete! I’m definitely going back to hike the volcano! Thank you for a fantastic vacation!

Golden Rock Resort offered a magical and very comfortable experience during our stay in Statia. Between lounging by the pool, cocktails at the restaurant at sunset, delicious meals at Breeze and hikes up the Quill volcano, we thoroughly enjoyed splendid sea views and the fresh Caribbean breeze. A special highlight of our stay was the bed, which felt like a dream! Last but not least, the overall flawless service of the friendly team and brand-new hotel felicities. I can’t wait to go back!

We had a top notch experience from start to end. Our driver was waiting for us at the airport upon arrival in Statia. It was quick 15 minute drive to the hotel where were greeted with a lovely welcome punch. The hotel is brand new and we expected a few hiccups, but we were positively impressed. Our suite was very spacious and had an amazing ocean view. The food was delicious, especially the lobster thermidor and the king crab salad. As for the experiences, the hotel organized a unique hike up to The Quill’s rim and we were lucky to go inside it too. They also organized scuba diving for us and I have to say the night dive in particular was impressive (it was like a hotel for turtles!!!). We were there during Statia Day and got to experience the best of the local tradition and festivities, also arranged by the hotel. I definitely recommend the trip to Statia and especially a stay at the Golden Rock Resort. By the way, the internet was amazing so I kept my social media up to date. I'll be back and looking forward to seeing the new private villas.
