This sumptuous hotel consists of independent, individually designed buildings that house renovated rooms. The accommodation is exceptionally spacious and equipped with all the modern conveniences. Every room features balconies or verandas that provide a panoramic outlook of the hills around Houlakia bay, the gardens or the mythical Aegean Sea. Built in authentic Cycladic style with traditional whitewashed walls and deep blue wooden shutters, this hotel is within easy distance of the beach, town and surrounded by a natural environment.

In my opinion this is not a 5 star resort. Stayed 3 nights with a small tour group. Stayed in one of their villas, it was nice. Not as nice as I had anticipated, but safe, clean and comfortable. Seemed to have little issues that were from wear and tear, but overall not bad. We had dinner there twice, both times the meals were good. Wait staff was friendly. My issues are these. Check in reception staff was unhelpful and seemed irritated. We were told this is typical for Mykonos, but still, you say you are a 5star resort, I expected better. Shuttle service to the rooms was sporadic and sometimes difficult to get. One of their vehicles the front passenger door wouldn’t open, so if there were 4 of you someone had to sit on a lap. Shuttle golf cart was never working it seemed. I would expect better from a 5star. Shuttle service to town was not often enough. Due to the location of the hotel you can’t walk to town. This was a HUGE inconvenience and with the wide gaps for the shuttle service it made getting to town difficult. Shuttle bus had seen better days as well. Again you would expect better from a 5star. I would not stay here again, mainly due to the location. It’s just to difficult to get to town. But I honestly don’t think you get the value for the money spent with so many other choices closer to or in town.

Currently sitting at pool bar drinking the best bramble cocktail made by Charis, and I’ve tasted a few all over the world ♥️ Homely hotel with the warmest welcome and just the loveliest room ♥️ Can not say enough about the beautiful location, grounds are magical to walk around.

Unfortunately this hotel was disappointing. We do understand we visited during the end of their busy season but service was very much lacking because of this. Our room was not clean when we arrived - hair in the bathroom… just easily could have been cleaned better. They didn’t seem to care - so I cleaned it up myself. Bar service was non-existent at pool, no towels available at pool (and this was early in the day) and a lot of the lounge chairs are broken. We ended up buying our own drinks in town as they are more affordable and we could serve ourselves. The rooms are old which I completely understand but they have to be clean. The bed also needs to be replaced - so incredibly squeaky. Did this ruin our vacation? No - but was it disappointing? Yes - absolutely. All things that weren’t awesome could easily be elevated.

I was a most disappointing experience. The staff was rude and unprofessional. I’m not sure if it was our skin color (we’re Black Americans) or their lack of exposure and tact. The rooms weren’t any better. Our first room (in the older section) were dirty and the bathroom was DISGUSTING 🤢. The room was not ready until 4pm. Although we were told it would be ready at 3pm. With that you’d expect it to be clean. The room was okay, but the bathroom had a lot of black mold in the tub / caulking and the caulking on the tub partition leaked water on the floor. We were direct to use towels to soak up the leaking water. SERIOUSLY?!?! We then asked for another room, they initially showed us a seemingly cleaner room, but it was much smaller and did not have a view. We then asked to speak with the manager. The desk agent went to the manager and returned offering us a room in there newly constructed building (1-2yrs). Our initial review was nice. But once we got in to the room we noticed mold in the grout on the shower tile, a slow shower drain as well as a stain on the bed (fitted) sheet. We called the front desk and advised them of the issues. They said they would address the issues while we were out that evening. Upon return to the room there was a folded sheet on a chair. In other words we had to change the soiled sheet ourselves. 😒 Upon changing the sheet we noticed the mattress cover was FILTHY!! We removed the mattress cover and put it outside on the balcony. We took pictures and videos of all the issues in the “new” room. The next day we went to the front desk and showed them the pictures and videos. We asked that these issues be resolved by the end of the day. Upon our return to the room NOTHING was resolved. Had they at least made an attempt to resolve the issues I would not have posted such a harsh review. But they did nothing. They were unreasonably rude and treated us as if we were vagabonds. I may return to Mykonos, but I will never stay at San Marco Luxury Hotel. One, they’re far from luxury. They just happen to be on a luxurious island…oh yeah, their gym is a JOKE. Two, there accommodations are motel level at best. And three the staff seem to be cantankerous and / or racist. Save your money and your sanity and stay somewhere else.

This property consists of 2 hotels. San Marco Luxury Hotel is not even 3*, but further up the steep hill is Epic Blue which is 4*. San Marco mainly caters to bus tours, while the newly renovated Epic Blue is a different class! We were booked into San Marco and arrived very late at night [about 11 pm.] We were shown to our room which was very tired and in need of a major renovation! San Marco Luxury Hotels is not luxury, but is very tired. The General Manager Mr Harry Avradinis is loved by his staff and by his guests. We appealed to him, and being the gentleman that he is, he moved us the next morning to Epic Blue. To say that Epic Blue is up a very steep hill, is an understatement. Regardless the suite was beautiful and the walk up the hill left us breathless, but was worth it! [We could have called for a shuttle] The shuttle driver and general handyman Mr Vasileios is friendly, efficient and helpful, as are all the staff including Lucy at reception who was super! Breakfast at both hotels was the same every day. The mediocre choices were included in the stay here, but were not up to 3* quality. The web sight does not reflect the present hotel which is about 25 minutes from down town Mykonos. Although there is a shuttle between the hotel and down town it is infrequent. Although you are advised not to drink tap water, all you are given is 2 large bottles of water and any more have to be bought. The Epic Blue view was extraordinary and the pool was lovely with plenty of comfortable lounges. We had a suite at Epic Blue and our only complaint was that the temperature of the water in the shower sometimes fluctuated. The cleanliness was excellent All in all, would recommend Epic Blue for future trips.

First of all the highlight of our stay were Mr Vasileios (who drives the shuttle bus and does all kinds of jobs at the property) and Lucy at reception as well as the ladies at the restaurant. Lovely, lovely staff, very efficient and could certainly work at a "real" luxury 5 star hotel. San Marco markets itself as "luxury" but in real life it is budget. I don't think we have ever slept in beds as hard as these with pillows as hard and towels so rough that exfoliate your skin instead of pamper it. The food at breakfast is very cheap and cheerful. The food at the restaurant is good though massively overpriced for what it is. Coming back from the holiday, we had to look at the pictures again,in disbelief that it was indeed the same place we stayed in. Unfortunately, San Marco needs a renovation, NEW towels, mattresses and pillows and a healthy, wholesome breakfast that tastes fresh and caters for food allergies too. The pics online must have been taken the year the hotel opened and do not reflect its current state! I am sure you will have checked the location of the hotel before coming here; it is a good 20-30mins from downtown Mykonos (NOT the Fabrica end by the way) depending on traffic with nothing in the vicinity but only 10mins max from the port. Again, Mr Vasileios and Lucy, thank you for making a not-so-ideal stay much much better and hope to see you working at an upmarket hotel next season!

Lovely room, lovely staff. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Staff very friendly and helpful. Pool was pretty. Great view from our room. Very very clean. Had to take a shuttle to get to town. Wish it ran a little more frequently but it was safe, clean and easy.

We stayed for 3 nights in a two bed three bath villa. This is definitely not a 5 star hotel. I would say it’s around a 3 star. We travel a lot and this didn’t rank close to the top of the hotels we have stayed at. Here are my reasons why… 1. There were multiple items broken in our room. 2. The water didn’t stay hot for all to shower. 3. The front desk staff was rude. 4. The shuttle times were inconvenient, not often enough and not flexible at all. 5. The transportation shuttles were all extremely old and had multiple issues with them. 6. The villa breakfast selection was lacking and mediocre at best. 7. There is no water in the lobby for guests to drink, you have to buy a bottled water and are told rudely to do so. 8. You are very far from town and cabs/Uber/etc. are not readily available so you must rely on the shuttle. 9. Dinner was decent but not something to write home about. 10. Check in and check out process with a group is not very well organized. They will not split your bill for more than one couple in a room and double check everything because we had someone else’s dinner on our bill. 11. Laundry service is RIDICULOUSLY expensive. Like €226 for 3 days of clothes for my husband and I. I WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN NOR WILL I RECOMMEND IT TO OTHERS.

It would be really easy to just say it’s terrible but it’s not. The people who work so hard here are wonderful. They have lovely staff but the hotel now needs investment to take it back to being 5 star. It’s split on two levels a modern villa complex and a more dated hotel. We had a junior suite with a stunning view but we paid a premium to have the view in the dated hotel. The room needed new furniture and some one with an eye for detail to modernize it. It was cleaned and they did keep it clean. The hotel Is located outside the town so the free shuttle bus runs backwards and forward but it’s a dated bus and it’s far too small for the large numbers of people we sat many hours at the faro cafe across from the drop off waiting for a bus that never showed up. I hope the owners will invest and take it back to what could be a 5 star hotel and not just a cash cow. Good luck.

We have been here for 6 days and the service has been incredible from reception staff, drivers, to the bar and waiting staff. They have been amazing with our children 10 and 4. The pool area is perfect, music is great and vibe is relaxed. The breakfast is fantastic something for everyone and more if desired. Lunch is great massive choice and very accommodating for the children. (you do pay more than you'd expect) Dinner in the upstairs restaurant has amazing views and the meals are beautiful. The bar - the bar staff are great always have our drinks ready quickly and make mock tails for the children. The rooms - we have a Jr Suite and a Garden room both spacious and cleaned everyday. The people complaining are probably people that have a bad attitude so the staff are less receptive to their needs. Remember when you point a finger 3 point back! Would visit again, thank you for all you have done for us.
