A restaurant, which you must visit in the region. It combins the wonderful armosphere of the old times, excellent service and delicious home made food. A must try specialty is the Malinovska baklava desert.
Just off the Sofia-Varna highway, this hotel offers comfort, tranquillity and excellent food, combined with lovely service. The region has interesting things to offer, hiking, local history etc. I've been traveling around Bulgaria for years and this is one of the best family hotels I've seen.
We had a very nice time in this hotel. It is a traditionnal houses complex place with wood and little objects which makes you feel really back in time with the modern comfort. Nice and clean rooms in traditionnal style. The village is small but full of charm, nice to walk around. Service and restaurant are good quality, heating is sufficient The only drawbacks are: breakfast starts a bit late (9am) Lack background history of the place The walls between rooms are thin.
Very nice hotel, the rooms are very authentic. The village itself is marvelous - definitely a mist see. The food in the restaurant is very good and the staff is very friendly. If you have the chance to visit - definitely do! I can only recommend this place.
Dedovite Kashti in Staro Stefanovo, near Lovech, Bulgaria offers unique accomodation - a mix of traditional atmosphere with modern facilities. The rooms are nicely decorated - stone walls, old wood beam ceiling, nice wooden furniture, comfortable beds. The food is delicious, home made and traditional for the region. The hosts are kind and helpful people, know a lot about the region and can help ypu with your sightseeing plans. The village itself is a melancholic, beautiful place with old stone houses with typical stone roofs. Some houses are abandoned and ruined, others are being restored to their original beauty. At the sqaure (megdan) you can take a peek into the local shop/pub and see all the writings on the walls left by famous Bulgarian actors, because the place has also been a film location. If you plan to stay longer, the village is an excellent point for one - day - trips to many landmarks and famous sites of interest in Bulgaria. It is 70 km away from Veliko Tarnovo - one of the most beautiful towns in Bulgaria and close to many other traditional places - Lovech, Troyan, Gabrovo, Tryavna, Teteven, Glozhene as well as natural wonders like the Devetaska cave where The Expendables 2 was shot, Prohodna cave, Krushuna waterfalls and even more.…
